    I didn't realize just how big the RX-7 is. The deck is huge! This scooter is like a rolling wish-list of everything you could want in an electric scooter, but I really wouldn't want to carry it up stairs.
    I really love the removable battery and waterproof rating, but the lights steal the show. Yeah, they look cool, but the extra visibility is an underrated safety feature.

    Ive hit 65mph on my RX7. Mine was sent back to Roadrunner because of bad rear motor, motor cable, and bearing i think are bad on the back wheel too. Not had good experiences with mine at 100 miles. They are repairing and sending back in a week or so once it does i’ll be able to finish my review. I’ve not had a good experience but it is a nice scooter, want to get it back to really see how it performs.

      This is what can be expected unfortunately with companies making higher end scooters. I've heard similar from inmotion RS as well. So far my updated Nami Burn E 2 Max with PMTs is holding up almost 500 miles now. Hopefully your experience is better once roadrunner fixes everything 😢 it's a crappy feeling as I had similar issues with voromotors with the GTR. Out of the box it was a problem and luckily got a full refund and went somewhere else and got the Nami from Wyrd Ryds. 😎 Best decision

      5k km on a 2nd hand Vsett10+, no issues so far except a lot of brake pad wear due to disabled e-brake, a blown EXA 291R hydraulic damper on the rear and 2 flats (on older street tires with actually barely profile left after 6k km in total)
      But i have to say… the previous owner did some awesome stuff to make the scooter more reliable and to strengthen it, including some stronger bolts, all screws replaced with better ones, SKF bearings on the motors etc.

It's for low-speed casual dog hiking so it had to have enough power to get me up those steep inclines on the bike trails. So far, I'm loving it. Hopefully no issues. I'll check my bolts periodically, since I'm going over curbs, 4'' roots beds, pot holes, downed limbs, etc.

    This scooter is now officially better than Nami Burn E2 Max, Roadrunner RX7 has amazing design removable battery, night time glow stickers design which looks totally amazing. Big huge tires for comfortable ride with adjustable suspensions for individual riders preference hell yeah.
    Great top speed, 55a sinewave controller, making the scooter very controllable going from 0 to 60mph and going very fast aswell. Please jump this RX7 scooter off of the loading dock, like you did with the Apollo Pro! The loading dock jump should be a standard test for ALL of the scooter that you review. Can you do a comparison on the RX7 vs Emove Roadster? Thanks!

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Great question. I don't think we'll do a head to head video, but off the top of my head here are the major differences (I just spent 2 hours riding the Roadster on Tuesday so I'm fresh on them both).
      They have nearly identical tested weights, but the RX7 gets 32.7 pounds lighter when you take the battery out.
      We got 10 more miles of real world range from the Roadster (54 vs 44miles) but that makes sense because the Roadster has a bigger battery. (theoretically you could double the range of the RX7 with a second battery of course). The Roadster is a lot more expensive, of course at $5800 vs $4k.
      Performance wise they're both so ridiculously fast that it's hard to ask for more, but technically the Roadster has a higher top speed and is a bit quicker (than everything in the world) to 30mph. The RX7 has sine wave controllers and a smoother throttle.
      Portability wise they're both heavy, but the Roadster is extra tricky because it doesn't fold. You need tools to take the stem down. The RX7 again has the advantage because you can lift the battery and scooter separately.
      Both have huge comfy decks, but we stuck our own grip tape on the Roadster because ours didnt' come with anything grippy on it, but that may have changed.
      The Roadster comes with split rims and tubeless tires because the wheels have o-rings in the middle to seal them. The first couple batches of RX7's have split rims with tubes in the tires and the later ones will have tubeless tires with non-split rims.
      Both are really great scooters. If nothing else is pulling you in one direction or the other you could let the looks decide for you: all-business and carbon fiber, or high-tech and space age glow.
      There you go! Your own personal review! :-) -Paul

I almost don't even find them interesting any more because anything that costs more than 600 bucks will just rip up almost any hill. Honestly, if it's a choice between having full control through the dash without an app, or full app control but not being able to hit all the functions through the dash, I'll take full control through the dash, though having full control both ways would be nice!

      That's a good question. We haven't tested that one. My rule of thumb is that if it's not stated in the manual, then I usually go with the maximum that's stated on the side of the tires. If that feels too stiff, then I'll drop it 10% (i.e. from 50 psi to 45 psi. The minimum I would run on a 50psi-max tire is 40 psi). -Paul

Out of curiousity, what brings you guys to the scooter form, as opposed to the pedal assist bikes, or the Surrons, or the EUCs? And do you guys prefer those e-scooters that have the bolt on seat or are you seatless and why? Out of all the super scooters, which model of scooter has the easiest to change a tire?

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's a great question. Anything with split rims (like the early batches of the RX7) will be easier. Also there are a few out there with split (o-ring) rims and tubeless tires that would be easy. There are some great videos out there for easy ways to get the tires on and off the rims. But the really hard part can be getting the tires seated to the rim after install. You pretty much always need an air compressor to re-install tubeless tires (to get them seated on the bead).
      Other than that, it's a question of getting the wheels unmounted from the scooter and whether they have quick disconnects for the motor wires. Most new big scooters have quick disconnects now, so you aren't wrestling with the whole scooter being tethered to the wheel while removing the tire (or digging into the deck to unplug the motor wire).
