I read Magic's Pawn almost a decade ago and seeing it in this video made me so nostalgic for it that I ordered the whole series on Thriftbooks as a birthday present to myself

The Last Herald-Mage trilogy is an excellent series. Honestly, I adore all of Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar books. I have a softer spot for the early ones, but those are the ones I've been reading for years, and Vanyel is my favorite character.
I didn't know this series had a big following! I picked it up on a whim. Something had just told me I needed to get it and I'm glad I listened! I'm a few chapters in and I can already tell it's going to be one of my favorites.
I've only read the first one, but it was really good! Now I feel inspired to read the whole series.

@@decompcore4780 You definitely should! Magic's Promise and Magic's Price are also fantastic. And considering these books were originally released in 1989-1990, they were VERY ahead of their time in some ways.
@@trapsaltnburn The fact that this old series is still talked about online and in such a niche part of youtube, I'd say it has had a big impact!

What apps/programs do you use to write your drafts and what editiing program/app do you use to edit your videos? Writng by candlelight keeps the social media goblins away. I use Scrivener and VLLO to edit my videos.
Omg, taking on knitting some socks? I salute you. I get so flustered with all the things that need to be done in the pattern that I always end up giving up! I just finished crocheting some strawberries for someone, and while I love the look of things that are knitted, I just find crocheting so much easier to understand :(
Yes, crocheting is so much easier (though I feel I'm faster at knitting). If these don't turn out, I'll probably trying crocheting a pair instead haha
