No, Ukraine is a much older country with a great European history and its own rich culture.

@@oradtalu Yeah, yeah, I'm a troll. People get pissed off when you misunderstand their heritage. It's true though. Both are Slavic, so they're ethnically about the same. Of course you will find minor differences in culture and language even between different cities of a single country. But I think large parts of today's Ukraine and Russia have been a single country for much of history, although I haven't looked into it too carefully. The languages are very similar, and look at her name... It could be a Russian name. And as far as Europe goes, everything west of the Ural mountains is considered Europe, including Moscow and St Petersburg. Very few people live in Siberia, so Russia is basically part of Europe, at least in terms of population. Plus, Ukraine and Russia were partners in crime during the Soviet Union. They're pretty much the same, or at least sister countries.

@@SeeFreeTV Nice try casual troll. You looked into it - wow, that makes it official. Listen, for over 400 years Russia has tried to occupy Ukraine and Ukraine still stands a unique European nation and culture. Ukraine is a slavic country along with Poland, Slovenia, Czech, Croatia and so forth, but not Russia. Russia's roots are priamarily Asian-Mongol, and the people that can trace themselves to slavic origins came by forcibly. Ukraine as a nation accepted Christianity on 988 while Moscovy wasn't even established until the middle of the twelfth century. Since the tsarist days, they took the brightest from Ukraine to Moscow and those that opposed were killed. The trend continued with Stalin who couldn't break the history of the independent Ukraine so he killed 10 million Ukrainians by a planned famine in 1932-33, then he used 2million Ukrainians as human shields on the front lines against Germany. He dispersed another 3 million Ukrainians to today's Khazikstan region, Another 2 million to Irkutsk and more. Don't work. Ukraine still stands and with a history it's provincial neighbour Russia can't steal. Russia is a pariah that cannot exist on its own because it has no legitimate roots. It needs to lie and usurp the heritage of other nations to create an identity. Ask any Latvian, Estonian, Lithuanian, Pole, Slovak, Slovenian, Bulgarian or even Georgian . Other than its top two cities, the rest of the country lives in squalor. Russians on average have a lower net wealth per capita than India. All that Russia is, is a big gas station with all the profits going to the corrupt henchmen. So, keep looking into it and trolling for comrade Putin. The fact remains Ukraine and its talented people, wherever they live on this planet remain ubiquitously Ukrainian.
