Emoni's defensive skills and offensive rebounding are the absolute opposite of his offensive skills. He won't make it at the next level if he doesn't make a serious effort to improve in these categories as well. I believe he could be a generational player if he develops into a complete player. Incredible offensive talent!
E. Bates won't get dem same shots off as frequent at the next level, has no ball instincts, though he's only a sophomore. I just dont see it. Another Robert Covington in the making!!! Which is still enough to make it to the NBA!!!
Kd was all offense so Im a lil lost with the comment. A lot of players with offensive talent lack those qualities. But develop them over time. Which his size and athleticism plus skill set. I feel he can make it off that alone.

Bates is a 5 star talent, may be the best in his class, but i disagree with people who say he is the best regardless of class. Jon Kuminga would physically overwhelm Bates right now. Emoni has a long way to go with his body.

Mike Jones I think Emoni’s a huge talent that could turn into a star no doubt. I’m only saying I wouldn’t say he’s the best high school player yet because I believe there are a couple guys that right now head to head would win a matchup against him. I think Kuminga, who’s an amazing prospect in his own right, is a good example. Just my opinion.

This kid can flat out play the game and it looks like he's got a few pretty talented teammates, too. He's still so dang young and is only going to get better, which is scary. I'd be a little more interested if I saw more assists (dimes) and less "one vs one" from him, but if I could play as well as him then I'd probably put my head down and drive to the bucket every time, too! He clearly resembles Durant, but has some work to do on the defensive end. I love his teammate #0, too! That dude is a semi truck! Any chance Emoni will decide to take his talents to Bloomington, IN and play for the Hoosiers before he cashes his first NBA check? Ha! A guy can dream, right?

Bates very bad in this one 6 for 22 from field 12 for 21 from the line. He deserves no praise he looked very out of control. He gets by his defender but defense collapses on him and he did a poor job of finding open teammates. To be honest he doesnt play physical enough to grab rebounds at 6' 8 at this level. To say he's only a sophomore okay but he's the annointed soon to be #1 pick in the NBA. Shouldn't be judged as your average sophomore playing varsity.

You are wrong! I went to 8 of his games last season as I am a fan of his. I only keep it real. He was bad in this game. This team actually has way more real talent and size than last years team. Braelon Green being a very talented athletic freshman. I can tell that they also have some smaller guards that can really play defense and get after it just like the team was made up of last season. I watched Scooby Johnson play last season and that kid wasn't only about getting his. His stats were all around excellent without forcing the action. I watched a kid before ypsilanti rouge game named Donte Forman only a jr 6'4 skinny like Bates. Forman 6 block shots truly a force on defense. Bates admits he doesnt like playing defense and it shows. I totally expect him to always put up the big numbers vs the Adrian or Tecumseh type teams but I pay particular close attention to when he's up against real talent.

River Rouge seemed to be a bit more seasoned than Lincoln. The game actually reminded me alot of last year. This Lincoln team is very premature featured 4 brand new starters and as the season goes along if the defensive effort increases I can definitely see the Railspitters making it back to Lansing. The obvious difference from last year is Emoni Bates supporting cast is much much bigger, athletic and young.

Legend Geeter actually outplayed him and played good defense on him. He had 26 but he had a horrid shooting performances and score mostly from the foul line. He still is a beast but legend scooter showed me something...juwan should recruit that kid.
