The Zarqa Community Center ‘Aman’ which means safe opened on October 2019. To ensure alignment of the services offered with local needs and to avoid duplication of services available to our beneficiaries, In order to address the psychosocial needs of children and adults in refugee and host communities, LWF’s Community Center offers an holistic package of structured and unstructured psycho-social support activities.
These include caregiver sessions on positive parenting and related topics, psycho-social counseling, music classes, English classes, sewing classes, nutrition,Computer ( ICDL), Zomba, and sports. Beyond supporting children and their families with their protection needs, the Community Centers strive to foster community awareness of children’s rights and other issues through community-led initiatives and active participation of its target group.
And we starting working in a new project with youth ( Innovation lab ), which aim to Stimulating creative thinking among young people in Zarqa Governorate and training them on the project stages and preparing the budget to come up with innovative projects that benefit society
