My book group chose Kevin Kwan's "Crazy Rich Asians" as one of the books we were going to read in 2021, but I was the only one who managed to finish it. Sure, there were unlikeable characters in the book, but I couldn't put it down. I even read a huge chunk while my youngest nephew was having a nap. He seems to nap longer when I read something lighter. Anything more serious or non-fiction, I look up and see this serious little face looking over at me from the porta-cot. Then it's down with the book and up with the little boy. I actually managed to read a book while holding my sleeping nephew. He was on my right side while I held the book in my left hand. I'd gotten him back to sleep after a horrible wind outside woke him, but I just couldn't put him back in the cot. So I cuddled him and read. He didn't wake up until his older brother came up the stairs chattering away. Naturally I have read to all my nephews and my niece. Anything with dinosaurs, sharks and other animals are big favourites.
I recommend the Ruth Galloway mystery series by Elly Griffiths if you liked Louise penny! Where’d you hear about the octonumi? I’m so intrigued! I just finished A Memory Called Empire it was a great sci fi 😁

Ah I haven’t read Crazy Rich Asians yet! I liked the movie, though. Like your nephews, I also love sharks and other animals!!
