Probably when the 50’s and 60’s came, both engines were used less when diesels came. One day, both engines had to take a passenger train that consisted of 7 coaches and 3 post vans. But when they reached a part of the line that was heated by the summer sun, they jumped the tracks and crashed of the line with 8 of all 7 coaches and 1 mail van of the rails. A total of 16 people were killed in the crash and 58 people were wounded. And in the end, 3 of the 8 cars were repaired with everything else being scrapped including 98462 & 87546.
In my head-canon, Winston was built by the L&YR in 1894 as inside mogul and was put on the NWR in 1900. He left Sodor in 1929 following the LMS wanting more engines to operate. He was withdrawn in February 1958 and was believed to be scrapped for many years but was found in an old LMS shed in 1990. He was preserved on the Nene Valley Railway until 2015 when he brought back to Sodor for the NWR's 100 year extravaganza. Winston remains a very hard worker to this day.
I loved this episode so much i'd been waiting for it for so long, the bit at the very end actually made me a bit sad to tell the truth but other than that great job all round
Nice job man I really love this story the beginning scenes with so-called Winston were awesome and then just seeing Alfred and croven what's so awesome I can't wait to see the next episode
Winston is also called 'Eagle' or 'Red Max'. He appear in the 'Three Railway Engines' book and he resemble James the red engine but with red wheels and no number five on his tender.
Well done on this episode, you deserve all the positive comments and views, the editing is great, voice acting is great and the whole storytelling is good, keep up the great work!
Hold the phone you have been reading the ers lately I’ve just started reading book 200 and you’ve already copied almost each word for word for 87546 and 98462 lines That’s awesome love how the spirit of the ers is still around
Great episode my good man surfs these engines right for being total jerks all through in another series create by jamesfan1991 Chris and Alfred turn themselves around through it took Alfred three episodes to turn himself around and Chris change after the manger of his railway told that there no room on his railway for rude engines.
Seems like 87546 tricking Thomas into putting the coaches at the platform was based off the story and 98462 speeding with the express were based off stories in the ERS they appeared
@@GamingDelight Understandable, and makes a lot of sense since he's one of the engines that run the Ffarquharr Branch line, and the first tank engine to run a branchline on Sodor after rescuing James in the aftermath of his accident with both the Troublesome Trucks, and his wooden brake blocks catching on fire using the Brakedown Train, though he wouldn't really be seen too often in this take on the railway, I'm currently planning to make hand-built Guage 1 replicas of the engines, rolling stock, and other stuff out of both plastic and brass
Brilliant episode but one question. If 98462 and 87546 are scrapped, how come the former appeared in Short 2 waiting for a goods train before The Norramby Spectre?
This was an amazing episode, Jack. But I have to wonder, who voices who, I mean who specifically as I know the cast list is in the credits but no characters are listed. I mean I know who Victor Tanzig, Joe (Narrow Gauge), Callum (MrMerlinFan02), and yourself voice but still
That was great episode, it served 98462 and 87546 right for how they acted and treated everyone.

How did the 2 blue engines become so rude and cocky?
Nicely done! Loved that ending!
Is there anyway you can bring them back into redeeming storie
Indeed it is.
Hey once you played a bad guy and it was heckin good
I miss you Victor! As a friend!
Nice work Victor.
I really like this story. Especially with Winston's appearance.

0:16 Gordon's Coat of paint is a very nice shade of blue
I think its cool how you set up 98462 and 87546's scraping
10:23 Alfred is so annoying, that the truck isn't even listening to him XD
Scottish Twin Productions lol good one mate
@@rustycraft102 Thanks!
Scottish Twin Productions no problem MOIT

Whens peter coming back
I love that glance Edward and Winston give each other at 19:43.
This is an amazing episode. Love that ending
same here
Amazing NWR58, nice use of clips from "Edwards day out" and "The sad story of Henry"
Yeah and clip from Edward Gordon and Henry
I loved this !! It feels so much like a classic series episode!!! And that ending!
In 98462 & 87546's leaf of absence they were traded for James when he was painted Black.
I like how you put in Henry and Edward at 13:29 to 13:41 (The Sad Story of Henry/Henry to the Rescue)
Remember kids, what ever you do, or where you hide, karma will always find you.
There’s no escape
PannierTankProductions 1929 unless Douglas is around
These are getting ever so better!
TankEngineStudios I agree!
I agree too
This is amazing especially the scene of James's fireman which was pretty funny and thanks for having me as the stationmaster and one of the passengers
Lol
"Did someone clone me?" Lol!

When victor is here you know this is going to be good
This was great! The tie-in with Edward's Day Out was very clever. Well done!
This is epic

Great episode the ending was.... surprising
Very well done! I have been excited for this episode for a while now and glad to see how it turned out!
This was amazing! Glad that you made this 🔥🔥👏🏽
14:35 love the little Easter egg of Annie and Clarabel right there!
Nice job, this was worth the wait
Best video yet, wish you did more origins style episodes.
Amazing Episode! The Writing and Voice Acting was fantastic, and that ending. Good stuff man
2:36 Hello Winston
LMAO 2:29
This was an amazing episode. Well done. :D
Smashing! Im glad to be a part of this!
Amazing episode as per usual, really enjoying this series. This is one of the best out there and you definitely deserve more subscribers.
Longer than expected. But no complaints, good as always
James was like someone cloned me!
Great story
Congrats on 2k subs
Love the Scene where their remains are seen in the scrapyard :)
VICTOR TANZIG!!
"Ha Ha Poor You James Look Like Got The Short End Of The Stick With That One "Oh Shut Up Gordon"
Surprised that Victor wasn’t voicing Edward.

16:38
87546’s driver: alright that’s it! I’ve had enough!
Even if 87546 is a horrid engine his driver knows that he’s fed up with his engines lies
Probably because he knows it will look bad on him
Brilliant work, keep up the brilliant work.
19:40 to 20:08 Man, that was dark and well honestly I knew it but still....
Love it! Really love it! My only question is: What happen to Winston? Why did he no long work on the North Western Railway?
But that's a story for another day =p
NWR58 oh the see inside utility vans are such a popular highlight for me !
@@NWR58 curse you victor you spread your cliffhanger virus everywhere!!!!!!!
@@NWR58 will their ghosts come back to haunt the other engines?

but he moved in Kentucky
Lol I just wanna see this over and over again

Great Episode!
Them poor coaches they don’t deserve this
Yeah, those poor dears didn’t deserve it.
I believe so, crovan was too evil aganist those inocent coaches
And Alfred maybe handled coaches nicely, but not so with the other engines, especially Henry and Gordon.
@@jaedenlyons I’m still confused as to how the hell 87546 managed to just YANK the hook clean off the front coach…
I'm loving how Gordon and Alfred is voiced by Victor tanzig, the man who made the show that this ones title was inspired from it
It wasn't inspired.
Well done good job
10:14 I find funny that 98462 called Gordon a "newbie"
If 98462 and 87546 listened to Edward then they wouldn't have been sent away.
Awesome and one thing that I have to say is.......wow
This is a good episode
at the first the flasback in the episode takes place beetwen the events of the adventure begins
Great video.

This guy is like a pro at making and creating goods trains
I feel like his model should be longer.
