Are there multiple choices for foot pedals? I've been very interested in this piano, however, I've only seen one small foot pedal which I don't like, and the sound doesn't "carry" very long. I like to carry my notes with a good pedal. Thus far, this pianos sound is a bit dampened.
Sorry for the delayed response. We do carry an upgraded pedal (themagicflute.com/product/7944/yamaha-sustain-pedal), which will feel more like a traditional piano pedal. The Yamaha 3-pedal unit (themagicflute.com/product/7943/yamaha-foot-pedal-unit-for-p-225-dgx-670-digital-pianos) is not available for the P-143. If you want a 3-pedal unit, you'll have to consider the P-225. Not sure what you mean by the sound not carrying very long. Any pedal simply triggers the piano to sustain notes, and the piano doesn't "know" what pedal is doing the triggering.
Amazing piano
Thanks so much! We will pass this along to Scott.

There is a parameter for sustain in the keyboard, with which you can adjust the duration of the sustain.
