Another great video. Wish you talked more about capital cost allowance. What if I bought a car in the past for $30K and I start using that car for employment this year? Can I use the purchase price or am I supposed to find the market value? Anyways, thank you so much~
Question - appreciate your input on this! My employment agreement does not indicate I need to travel for work. However, I was told to drive to our mailbox (just a mailbox - we don't have an office) a few times throughout the year to check our mail. I was not reimbursed for this. I did have my employer sign the T2200 (question 10) and stated auto mileage in the open line for that question. Would that be sufficient to allow me to claim the mileage on my personal tax return?
i work in Vancouver, (i think for the same company you spoke of in brampton) my work pays for mileage "my house to store(s)" and back, at a rate 52c/km, i have never asked for a T2200 since this is the first im hearing about it. since 52c/km is less than the 70c/km, should i be asking for T2200 and getting more/less deductions? (i drive a tesla and about 20k/km a year is for work)
Your tax related content is great. It is better than the college courses I took and the H&R block course I am taking..
Thank you !!!
Thanks for great video. If my work site if far from my resident, can I deduct car expense?
