Fours years later he has two 30/30 years one 20/30 year a batting title and mega deal and the royals in the playoffs after losing 100 games. He will finish runner up to judge as mvp. True one of a kind talent hiding in the Midwest
One thing that I think is super important about this......a lot of players will only do fielding drills on an actual baseball field, or at a practice facility. I think taking grounders in a normal back yard that isn't leveled like a baseball field, is SUPER important. Almost every one is going to have a weird hop, or slightly change direction. I'd put Jr's glove up against any shortstop in the WORLD right now. Super proud of him and his work ethic, but also proud of his dad for raising a great young man. Bobby, I wish you ALL the success in this game, but hopefully always in KC. 😊
Damn I wish I had someone I could just do simple drills like this with. Been wanting to play baseball so bad lately, but have no friends anymore. My only friend hates baseball
I remember seeing the end of his dad's playing career in Texas with the Rangers & he had a very underrated career now seeing his kid playing with my boys in KC, it's nice to see him having a good career so far & Witt Jr sister is a beast in basketball & she is proving she's damn good & has a beautiful 3pt shot
Congratulations Bobby for hitting your first big league home run against the Cardinals last night. As a KC fan, it's so exciting to watch your progress and dynamism. The Royal are a first class organization that depend on a Moneyball esque, guerilla warfare value orientation to recognize as well as develop next level talent. As a prime example, the Royals fully capitalized on the immense coaching skill and baseball philosophy of Ned Yost leading to winning the Big Show at the WS. Ned Yost was a next level coach with an incredible baseball and philosophical process acumen Ned's demeanor was as comfortable and easy going as wearing a favorite pair of baseball cleats, yet his baseball iq was rocket scientist level developed from long dusty days developing minor and major league talent. Now the Royals have found another immense talent in you Bobby, the new KC "laughing lion" and 21st century player of impact ---up in the rarefied air with George Brett. Hope you will have a chance, by the way, to play golf and have some cold Blue Moon beers with George Brett on the 19th hole at the KC Country Club. Just sit back with a watermelon size smile to hear his legendary baseball stories and try to bottle his charisma.. The KC Royals need your hitting talent and speed dynamism along with more power hitters as well as Ned Yost type relief pitcher aces as "aces up the sleeves" in clutch situations to reach the big show again. Your dad is another national treasure in how he raised such a gem of a player and individual. .Please, receive all the tips from your dad about the poker gamesmanship, tricks, and psychology of elite pitchers when facing batters. Long time KC fan. See you out at the K in the summer.
Nah being a rich kid just helps in most aspects of life. Doesn't mean you have the talent this young man has. He's definitely a step or two above the baseline MLB player..

Baseball has become a rich kid sport...
Yeh that yard is bigger than my whole house n lot
look up a top prospect, brennen davis, he lived on a farm
why cause you cant do this at a park huh

Baseball in the USA has really become an elitist sport. Wild that Dominicans who have almost nothing compete with guys like this
dominican communities are very baseball oriented though. I dont think being a rich american really has much advantage over it
This kid does not have the stuff to make it
Fake
Rich white kid...watever
@Hara Moua Money goes into baseball at some point… but the work ethic of bobby witt jr got him to where he is. not his dads money
look up a top prospect, brennen davis, he lived on a farm
Irrelevant. Your jealousy and racism is annoying though.
