This past Thursday I found a worked piece of orange flint in a bed of shale along the Olentangy River north of Columbus and a bead of sedimentary material in the feeder creek....first artifacts I've found in a few months. I love your blunts!

It is sad individuals have little respect for the river.
The same river that provides water for crops, fish, crawdaddies.....
    Signs our ignored.
Wonderful tool you found and the examples you showed helped put it in perspective, thank you.
Sorry your back was hurting, hope you put some linament on it to help the pain.
    Beautiful scenery of the river
    Take care🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿

Dang people who litter!!! Here in the south, it's almost impossible to find a farmer who will let you fish in his pond, due to people littering and junking the place up...ruins it for everybody. Thanks for taking the trash with you, Rocks. And awesome blunts, the Natives used them almost all the way up! And the bone, whether natural or not, certainly could have been used as an awl. A good day on the river.

Hi Rocks !! I'm a new subscriber to your channel.I stumbled across it a couple weeks ago, after finding another marble while planting in my garden, Years ago I had been finding them enough to fill half a Mason jar. Anyways, I kept on watching your videos and enjoy seeing and learning from all of your great finds ,from marbles, bottles, metal detecting coins, and most of all your Indigenous people artifact finds are amazing, you have a great eye and assume content. I have a 10 year old grandson that I'm trying to instill with some good fun hobbies into his life, He received a medal detector this past Christmas but with covid we just last night tried it out in my backyard but we will have to fine tune our skills cause it was going off every where, so I let him dig one hole and sorry to say it was a nail and a small green steering wheel most likely from those army action vehicles from the 70's. Lol ,I told him ,he had to keep his first finds ,but he said grandma I'm not keeping that junk, yup,I guess my yard to my hundred year old house has its backyard dump.

That ""awl" is a fish bone from a drum or carp. Context is everything along with symbolism. They were used as necklaces and awl's. Good job with the trash bro I clean up too. I'm on the river just as much as you. I have been watching your vid's for a while now. Love squirrel man also. I saved my shitty kitty the same way. She barely had her eye's open and I had to feed her milk from my finger when she was small. The coyotes ate her family and she was the only survivor. Shitty was a Ferrell kitten in my neighborhood and only survived because she climbed a tree.

2 things to check on the bone awl. look up horseshoe crab tails and sting ray barbs. it could be the crab tail, possibly a fossil, or even traded from east coast. i have found one in washington dc, not sure if natives used it or it's just a fossil.

Beautiful orange color blunt, and thank you for showing the examples of the way they were hafted to a handle. I was wondering how they would have used those. Also, it looked like the person who left all that trash maybe had plans to come back eventually, leaving a whole pack of cigarettes there.

I'm glad to see you pick up trash too, its never pointless man. I think it goods luck to get a bag of trash picked up every time i go out (i pulled out a tire to go to the hazard waste drop off the day i won your contest haha). Plus i hope it will inspire others to do the same or be more careful with their trash.
I remember you talking about getting a rock tumbler in an old video, if you haven't already grab one. I've had mine for almost a month and its a lot of fun. Might want to try magnet fishing too, i'm going out later to a fishing dock since my body ain't hurting too much. I've found lures, a knife, pliers, and i get a lot of trash out of lake too which is nice.

It is like this anyplace people fish here. People are pigs for the most part. I may hide a trail camera on this spot and get them on video.......and turn them all in. I go there a lot. This is just the first time I have shown the trash. It has been much worse on other occasions. One time I went and some people left like 200 beer cans on the same beach.

I cannot tell you how many trash piles I come across like that. It’s just gross. Not sure why people leave their perfectly good fishing tackle either. I’ve found countless line reels, bags of hooks and sinkers, bags of lures.

I think the fishing gear left....is because the fishermen.....we drinking while they fish....and were intoxicated when they left. I have found 2 poles...and a tackle box full of lures that was left before....with a pile of whiskey bottles and beer cans. LOL
