Long visit in August to Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, then the long term goal is relocating out of USA. Im a student of Eastern Philosophy, and student of martial arts. Interested in Muay Thai , and have retired as a Master Metaphysical Teacher. Letting go of material objects is a big challenge.
I first came here 1989 Backpacking. I visited 6-7 times in between until moving here permenantly in 2007 retired at 47. Been here ever since, now with a family 2 teenage kids.
But I did ireland alone for 12 days and the manners and kindness of the people shined through. It was a great trip! Just stay away from the white house hotel in dublin by the airport. Scam central! The Irish grannies warned me.
@Jam.thebam no, but I am going back to Ireland soon. You are absolutely right about expensive. The south dublin hotel has gone up in price 100 euros. Was in St. Andrew's and Dunfermline. On assignment spreading my brothers ashes in the places he wished to be.
then you could indeed commute between the UK and Asia. but I think that also costs a fortune on an annual basis. I'm from Antwerp, if you work on a ship you should definitely know that 😉
I have also thought about moving, but a holiday and actually living there is a big thing. We are about the same age, I will follow you, good luck in advance.
