We are very happy with their service all round. And very excited to get our new drone in a couple of days.

I’m glad your sad story has a happy ending. Bummer that you’re without a working drone for a week or so.
    Keep smiling. 😊

We just got a notification that it’s at the post office, so looks like it will only be one or two videos that we’re without it

      @@nigelandsueadventures That’s good to hear!

While that would have been quite painful, alls well that ends well, as they say. Sounds like you might end up being a lot better off with the new unit. So it might make the pain and effort worth it. It was quite interesting to see the whole thing. Definitely something to be mindful of when operating and maybe even purchasing a drone. Thanks for the video. 🤗😊

Thanks Lynne. It was an ordeal! But definitely worthwhile having the drone

Great story, with a happy ending! Similar to a friend’s (very much more expensive) drone story, although he couldn’t retrieve it, where he got it replaced quite easily on insurance. Must happen a lot, I guess.

Even for an experienced heli pilot!! We had just done a software update, there was obviously a glitch.

      Beware the update!!!

Jeez I love the site you’re in. What a view. Also loved the look of that dragon fruit smoothie. A real bumma about the drone. That happened to me about a year ago. My Mavic Pro was attacked by crows and I helplessly watched it plummet into a salt water rock pool. After finding it and drying it out I finally turned it on only to see it burst into flames and explode. 🥲. I wasn’t insured and now finally own a little Mavic Mini 2. A bumma when this happens. So good to see you guys finally get it going again but sad to see it smash 🥲. Great that you got a new replacement drone 😃👍

Yes it’s worth having the insurance!! That’s why we went with a basic model while we are learning to fly it!!

That's terrible luck, good you got it back, I'm still shocked you got your drone for $500, I got mine 2 years ago and it cost me $1,000.

Great lesson on owning a drone. Just wondering… when you stay at Ellis beach are you free camping?

We stayed at the caravan park one or two nights, but we actually have friends who have a big block in Palm Cove and we park up there. Very lucky!!

As always guys...The drone is dead, Long live the drone..👍👍.. Did they replace it because you had insurance on it or was it just a nice gesture on their part??

They quoted us for a repair (was only over $100) and then they changed their mind and called to say they were sending a new one

Okay, no more flying drone close to trees and water, obviously too many possible avenues of disaster 😢

Fraught with danger! Thankfully that has been our only real disaster
