Woud love to see a full series of this game from our glorious emperor Pravus, first of his name, conqueror of the post nuclear wasteland, Stronkman of Poland, Explorer of alien worlds....
Interesting setup in that there are two "layers" to the game between the seafloor and the domes. You need to be mindful where the stuff is built on the seafloor, because though the supports might not take up much space, the domes relative to each other will dictate where those supports go. The fact that the infrastructure and population happiness are essentially two different zones you're working in, and can therefore be mentally subdivided because they're physically divided, feels like it really changes how you look at the game. The ability to recolor buildings seems like a small thing, and yet it's not. There are many games where, especially color wise, buildings can blend together some and make finding a specific building tricky. Being able to color buildings seems that would make things so much easier, as I think it's easier to remember and spot color differences than shape differences, at least in a city builder. Certainly seems interesting.
Looking at the way we have been handling Covid and climate change... "An asteroid is heading for Earth!" "Fake news." "It won't affect me." "Who is going to pay for that." (Deflection) "Liberal conspiracy."
They ran out of rare earth metals and thus were unable to produce a sufficient number of computer chips leaving the detection system unfinished. This however was not disclosed to the public and was the utopia's darkest secret.
That is pretty realistic actually. Nearly any feasible detection strategy relies on detecting reflected sunlight from the asteroid, which means only a relatively small angle of space can be analyzed
The premise of the game reminds me of another underwater strategy game, Submarine Titans. The difference being that there's no alien minerals (or aliens, for that matter) are involved in this game. Yet.
Personally, I'd like to see them tune down the sound effect when you move the cursor over icons; it is really intrusive and "drills" my ear with that high-pitched sound like a tooth drill at the dentist's Other than that it's a pretty enjoyable colony sim it seems.
okay, the sound that the game makes when your cursers goes over a button or over a slider HURTS my ears. for real. (this is at 1:00) I hope it doesn't get worse 3.16 oh no it als ohappens on EVERY SINGLE BUTTON?! please tell me it's just the video or my headset cause it hurts my ears
Hm. It looks like one of the decorations are blocking the inner houses. The citizens there appear and disappear repeatedly like they're cancelling their pathfinding.
I barely understood this game last year because its early access there are new buildings too and I also have to correct what you said at the end your not barely scratching the surface , your barely scratching the SUB surface cause your underwater
I'm sorry the only thing i think when i see this game right now is. If your looking for me You better check under the sea Cause that is where you'll find me Underneath the Sealab, Underneath the water Sealab, At the bottom of the sea
The illogical stupidity of the story is making the game even better. (for context, if humans were so advanced that they could have flown into space, surely they would have the technology to see ad destroy the asteroid before it hit the earth)
Space is stupidly huge. It would take an immense amount of resources spread all over the gobe to watch the sky with enough coverage to reliably see an object able to do this kind of damage and still have time to anything about it assuming you could do anything about it.
@@CowCommando And yet, we are already doing it. And we are doing it wor smaller asteroids too. There is now reason why we couldn't see this in time if we could fly into space.
@@vasilijestevanovic5142 What amount of the space around our planet is currently being regularly observed? When I look online I see articles about us tracking near Earth objects, and how many of them are hard to track for various reasons. I also see articles about us hoping to see the unexpected in time. I don't see anything about us actively monitoring everything at all times. I also saw a couple places where funds were moved away from monitoring to other projects. I'm open to there being lots of information I missed though.
I just hope Overseer games didn't meddle too much in the game development cuz Patron was such an arse of a game they released it half baked. Everything about this game as I saw in the demo screamed Patron but underwater with extra features.
I want to enjoy the video, but my monkey brain just hears the confirm sound or whatever in this game and goes "wait, Honkai?" It's so distracting and it's only because I recognize the sound XD
My critique just from watching the game is that the UI is just blue.. everything is blue.. its really hard to understand stuff for a new person.. why would u make everything blue its so hard to differentiate things
Looks really good But is buggy as hell and is Not really that good, shame as this looks awesome, the idea is great but is lacking Anno and Frostpunk playability & Functions to make this great. wait until you get so far and all your residents just randomly die or leave, they don't come back (didnt even know why they left), you have to constantly research to even get stuff, and alot of stuff that the residents ask for is quite far up the tree. the research tree could of been alot better managed.
the sound from mousing over the different buttons literally cut into my ears ... it hurts to listen to and gives me a headache... the game and the setting sounds cool but i cannot watch this ... not with that sound going all the time when you mouse over any and everything. that sorta high pitch noise just... doesnt sound good

Hum... Seems like this guy has a lot of rep...I'll have to take over a few more contents...
And Destroyer of Worlds (P.Inc)

Looking forward to a series of this. I think a massive city builder by you could be really cool
You think that an advanced human society would have early warning radars for asteroids and aliens but nope. Totally realistic not going to lie 😂😂
Our current detection systems cover around 8% of space around earth

Or complain about the economic impact to do anything about until.....it actually happens

was i the only one hoping he would name the city Rapture?
I need a series out of this....plz.....just to relax and all
i demand series of this
kinda similar to Surviving Mars in a lot of ways, real nice
a series would be nice
With the game "surviving the abyss" published by Paradox is releasing soon I wonder how well this one will hold up.
Please do a series! Praise Pravus.

Would love to see more against the storm sometimes as it was very fun and engaging to watch.
You know I would definitely watch a movie like this
Can this be a regular playthrough, please?
With the friends? No way!
This game looks amazing!
Can't wait for more episodes!
by the way: sea cucumber is an animal, not a vegetable, which can be farmed underwater. :D
Sponges are animals my good sir not plants! Part of the phylum porifera, the oldest group of animals!
I just got the game yesterday. And Pravus made a video on it wow 👌
You should do another ONI play through!! Either way thanks for the content Pravus!!
cetus sounds like a word for a private part. like "keep your hands off of my cetus!"
This Surviving Mars map looks cool af
Under the sea;
Under the sea;
Darling it's better;
Down where it's wetter;
Take it from me!
Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun they slave away
While we devotin'
Full time to floatin'
Under the sea
Pretty sure everyone can agree with me that it was a missed opportunity to not call it Pravidence.
Welcome to Rapture, where all good things flow too, where there are no gods or kings only man!
Oops wrong underwater game.
"would you kindly..." -Atlas
Calling it a "underwater Surviving Mars" would be a apt summary, I think.
Would say surviving mars meets patron
Make this a series, ive seen others play but fail.
I am Andrew Ryan, and I’m here to ask you a ques-. Oh wait wrong game.
Pls do a series on this Pravus. Also Praise Pravus our lord and savior.
It really reminds me of good old Submarine Titans that nobody remembers to even exist. But with no conflict whatsoever.
Looks nice!
Can you make a series of this game please 🥺🥺🥺
Water for the Water Gods!
Praise Pravus
Lots of breadth but is there any depth in gameplay?
More of this game plz
This is like poor mans Surviving the Abyss
I don't understand how you release two videos a day almost every day that's crazy
23:40 They do be jiggling tho.
if i buy this game i will be listening to under the sea on repeat.
Praise Gimli!
okay, the sound that the game makes when your cursers goes over a button or over a slider HURTS my ears. for real. (this is at 1:00) I hope it doesn't

3.16 oh no it als ohappens on EVERY SINGLE BUTTON?! please tell me it's just the video or my headset cause it hurts my ears
I watch the video with speakers and i flinch everytime Pravus goes over an overlay. Hope he can change that
Would you do a series of this like surviving mars
Under the sea
Under the sea
Darling it's better
Down where it's wetter
Under the sea🌊🌊🌊😉😉
There's going to be tons of rapture remakes in this game
I feel like the guy who made the UI is color blind :)
Game looks beautiful though.
This game popup in my steam discovery queue and my first thought was "huh i wonder if pravus will make a video about this"
Ohh!! At last, another game that can compete with annno 2070 is underwater building
Pravus should play cult of the lamb. I want to see the cult of pravus reborn
Hm. It looks like one of the decorations are blocking the inner houses. The citizens there appear and disappear repeatedly like they're cancelling their pathfinding.

I don't know about you, but mussels are pretty good especially when cooked with spice
One minute in and the high pitch that plays when his curser hovers over a button (before clicking) has instigated my tinnitus, I'm out.
So it's Patron but underwater? I loved your Patron series so this should be fun!
its more of frostpunk
Totally underwater Patron
@@georgiwenckovsky9748 Frostpunk seems to have spawned, or at least encouraged, a new subtype of city builder. It's wonderful.
Subnautica but city builder, cool
Can you say whatever you want or only Paradox does have those restriction?
When i see this game, i thought ,,subnautica but city builder”
Reminds me of Deep Sea Tycoon from so long ago.
I'm sorry the only thing i think when i see this game right now is.
If your looking for me
You better check under the sea
Cause that is where you'll find me
Underneath the
Sealab, Underneath the water
Sealab, At the bottom of the sea
Frostpunk from Space now frostpunk in water, what next frostpunk in the ground?
Pravus should play more democracy 4. i would love to see a hardest difficulty america run. day 113
The illogical stupidity of the story is making the game even better. (for context, if humans were so advanced that they could have flown into space, surely they would have the technology to see ad destroy the asteroid before it hit the earth)
You see, they didn't have Bruce Willis to fly to the asteroid to blow it up, so that's why it hit earth.
@@TheZoomTown XD

Mussels are great, just saying.
Everything is better down were it's under ptavus control
I got rapture vibes from the thumbnail
So, a bad version of Surviving Mars. I'm unconvinced...
you'd think that after cataclysmic climate change we'd get over plastics and crude oil reliance... maybe as the game progresses?
I just hope Overseer games didn't meddle too much in the game development cuz Patron was such an arse of a game they released it half baked. Everything about this game as I saw in the demo screamed Patron but underwater with extra features.
Atlantic?
So.... "Welcome to Rapture"
It seems strange if whole surface is radiated, but somehow the water is not.
Plot armor these days...
This game is big subnautica.
cud you try mount a blade bannerlord 2 it is very good
nice

Subnautica: Advanced edition.
My own personal Rapture
Aquatico = Patron, almost

So it's basically 90% copy/paste of Surviving Mars but only way worse... Very noice...
