I agree Nate. Genie Plus is not good. We have been coming to Disney World since 1976 and we have seen many changes but this one is not good. I have heard several people say they don’t want to go to the parks because of that. They don’t understand it all and don’t want to spend their time on their phone looking for ride times.
Disney needs more rides to accommodate the crowds.

That is insanely busy for mid-January! I guess Rock’n’Roller sucked up more crowds than I thought! You are totally right about Disney being fun even when you can’t do all the rides - I have a heart condition and can’t do most of the big ones but I still love it there! Wish I could visit more often but I’m from the UK and it’s sooo expensive!
Nate, a year ago i met the Disney Junior characters outside the Disney Jr dance party place. At 67 years old, never having seen Disney Jr, i had such a great time!

My husband and I want to retire near Disney so we can just walk around the parks. Rides or no rides. We just love the atmosphere and the "magic".
I bought a small place in Winter Haven for my rapidly approaching early retirement, and I love it.... I will officially become a snow bird November 2024. I am very pleased with my decision, and when I visit now, going to the parks with my "resident" pass is a whole different experience.....

We visited the parks last Easter and struggled getting Genie+ to work effectively, and it even swapped out one of our Lightning Lanes to a whole different ride an hour before it was due! Cast members were helpful of course and changed it back for us but it shouldn’t have to get to that point. Plus if you have a large family the extra cost is scary.. maybe if the park tickets themselves were cheaper it would make sense but it still just seems greedy on Disney’s part, especially with the food and drink options being expensive and the merch. But definitely agree it is just not user friendly, we really struggled with it.

Gotta comment again - thank you SO much for showing us your ToT ride. I haven’t been able to do it since my 2011 neck surgery. You are right - even when you are unable to do many of the rides, Disney is still a wonderful experience!

When I was there in November I got to have a solo Hollywood studios day & the cast members of Starbucks gave me a free birthday coffee because they saw my birthday pin. Once I experienced their kindness I was dancing down sunset boulevard I was so happy just enjoying the music and atmosphere of the park. There’s something so magical about Hollywood ! Love you Nate, and your slow dance with a sausage 😂

Lightening Lane is a mugs game, a total rip off. I bought it once, at Hollywood Studios, at 9am. The first available slot was for 4.30pm.!!! Never again. Disney should be ashamed for ripping people off like this.
I visited DW when I was 10-11 yrs old… Hollywood Tower of Terror was the best ride! I love watching the re-rides on you tube, so thank you. It was 1994/5 ish and Toy Story was the big thing that year, and 20 years later, lol

Let’s go back to fast passes you can reserve on line. Everyone can get a few without charging extra. When you start adding another cost for shorter lines, it adds up quickly for families. But, the parks are packed. Disney will keep letting people pay. Love your content Nate! I think the videos of just chill days are great. I especially appreciate info on the places to relax that might be quiet and out of the chaos. Keep smiling!

We have had that happen with Genie+ both in Disney World and our home park at Disneyland. Same with mobile order sometimes. What is happing is dozens (or hundreds) of other people are seeing those times pop up and all go for it at the same time and the system updates in seconds while that is happening.

When the time changed on the lightening lane for Tower, that just meant someone got to that time before you. We say you "got got" by the system....but as proof, keep trying, and you'll find something. When I get it at 7am, I have great success with it, and I've used it maybe a half a dozen times since it came out. I like using it, it ensures you get a lot done. Buying it early is definitely key! Also, thanks for the video!:)

We just returned home on Sunday and didn't get on Runaway Train, it never worked out! Anywho, it was nice running into you in Epcot and saying Hello. (I mentioned how cold it was in Pennsylvania ) you said your Mom told you 😅.

Everytime you go to that banquet room at pizza Rizzo I just know you're going to dance with food. Last time it was sausage I believe. The music takes you away up there. Love it!
Same thing happened to me except with an ILL. Clicked on a great time but it shifted to a time conflicting with my granddaughter's appointment at Bibidi Bobidi Boutique. Guest services made an effort to find a better time but couldn't. They did refund me. That said I have to say that Genie+ served us very well over the Presidents Day weekend last year. Thanks, Nate. You're one in a million and much appreciated.

Genie+ is getting way to expensive and at HS you gotta be up and booking Slinky at 7am or you struggle to get a LL! 😬 but start stacking them early for when you get to the parks later! 😄
We just left today and had been there since Friday. The crowds were 4000% more than we were expecting 😂 lots of time relaxing at the resort.
I work at a preschool and think it would be so much fun to wear Mickey gloves at the end of the day to wave to the kiddos when they leave. But I can never find them when we're in the parks. Maybe next trip.

I had this same issue last week at disney. It was very irritating. Plus All the good rides had like 7pm LL choice when it was only 8am lol
Those POV glove shots gave me major flashbacks to late 80's/early 90's Disney Channel bumper videos 😂 you should use those in the videos from time to time!

Oh this is fun. We were at Hollywood studios the day you did this video. We’re actually outside at the pizza place watching you do your takes/recordings eating the cookie. Probably didn’t notice us but we were the family few tables off to the side in the courtyard with few kids and stroller.
My husband and I will be in Disney next week for his 50th birthday. Our wish is to finally run into you!!! Thank you Nate for always making me smile! 😊
PMM is NOT alone in his sentiments about Genie+. Most of the people that I know that have gone to Disney agree that Genie+ is NOT worth it! It's NOT user friendly and requires way TOO much micromanaging. Disney has taken most of that magic feeling out of it now. AND, to add insult to injury, they've stacked on additional fees and costs, on top of the already sky high priced park tickets! Walt's dream of a relaxing, family friendly amusement park has unfortunately turned in to a nightmare.

Hey Nate, are you going to try going to MK on Friday to see what the crowd for the final show of the original Country Bears is like? I should note that while MK is open till 11, CBJ is listed at stopping at 9 if you wanted to plan on trying getting in line for the last show.

Nate, great video and I agree on Genie Plus. It’s really only worth getting at MK. Not really needed at AK or Epcot since it doesn’t even work on Flight of Passage, Remy or Frozen Ever After. It is needed at DHS but just like what happened the day you recorded the video, everything good was sold out probably early in the morning, which makes it not worth $25. You got to use it only on 2 rides and even had to wait a long time for Runaway Railway. I would honestly be complaining at Guest Services and ask for my money back if I could only use it on 2 rides. Also the return time changing after you selected 4pm happened to me a lot a few weeks ago. Instead of refreshing the previous page I will click the time slot shows and then it may bump up to a sooner time. Great video! Also I met you last September at the D23 event at the Contemporary and we took a selfie.
Genie plus is not that bad, I got to use on Thanksgiving and I got on so many rides. It does get some time to get used to it but it can be worth it. And as always I loved your video!

Make sure you always just grab one and modify. To start your 2 hour cool down if your picking one a few hours out.
So… we had the same experience at Hollywood Studios the other day! We actually gave up and left! We also agree that Genie Plus is not a great help. Thanks for the honesty!
It works if you buy it first thing.. right at 7am. No gaurentees you'll get it all done, but will increase chances. Of course, depends on how busy the park is.

I long for the days when you didnt have to be glued to the cell phone, I find the whole genie plus to stressful. I am surprised the parks are still so crowded. So basically there is no more down times.
