He resigned on Thursday morning after his audience with the Queen on Wedsnesday evening. Maybe she was the voice of reason he needed.

@General Pershing continuing to push an agenda of austerity and cut backs after 10 years of the same party doing so, resulting in millions being plunged into poverty, having to rely on food banks and some dying as a complication of being in poverty, it only requires a little critical thinking to realise Johnson could easily be held responsible for the deaths that happened while he was prime minister. I’ve watched three videos on this and I still don’t understand what he did exactly besides everyone resigning.
You don’t need to understand. The people closest to him have been leaving for the last 2 years. First Downing Street, then the backbenchers in the no confidence vote and then the government vote - the ministers, junior ministers, etc started resigning on mass. These are the people who are closest to the PM and can see how he behaves close up. They can also remove him via the 1922 committee which is due to have their elections soon and can remake their rules to get rid of a PM. In short BJ could see the writing on the wall and jumped before being pushed. No doubt more will come out in time as BJ no longer has power. I hope I live long enough to read the history books on this episode of politics
