Interesting comments on how these outfits would play in "corporate America". I am an attorney who appears in court on an almost daily basis. Before I was an attorney I did account and international conference sales to large financial institutions in the heart of NYC financial district. I have been a working professional for over eleven years in what is stereotypically "corporate America". I can tell you, without a doubt, that whatever you all are learning in school or being told by "mentors" is wrong in this changing and competitive market place. Other than the grey dress (for personal taste reasons), I would wear each and every one of these outfits to work and or court, and have. Shirley was wearing pencil skirts and blouses, slacks and blazers and knee length dresses. I would have personally added a pop of color to these pieces, as color is inviting and has been psychologically shown to make people more open to you. Drop these ideas of ill fitting pant suits to hide what in white American used to be taught as "too sexy" Your body is, as your body is and people of other races are paying a premium to surgically emulate what you have. Try jewel tones suits, as you are not going to a funeral, you are not a villain, you are going to work. By clothing, in your size, not a size up because your body is "too sexy". Lastly, let your WORK be what defines you.
I know this comment is old, but I'm currently in a professional development class for my major and me and everyone else in class agreed that what they make us wear to class is very outdated. It's like they are stuck in another time frame and refuse to let it go. When I got the "dress code" I was like is it 2014 or 1984! 😒

Folks need to understand, every work environment is different. If I wore something like any of these outfits to the office I would be over-dressed. This is INSPIRATION meaning you pull from it what you like. If you can't wear then so be it.

The amazing thing Shirley, is that your hair is pulled back, you are all covered up, and yet you are working the sexy. It's all sleek, well fitted, basics, but your body does the clothes justice and you look finished and polished. Pay attention ladies! I'm taking a lot fro this simple video, focus on the fit and finish first of the outfit, not necessarily the length of the weave or the severity of the facial contour. Beautiful!

There is a lot of sexism and ableist words in the comments below. Take care in the way you express things. She is blessed with the body she has and that's that. I, honestly, don't see why it's bad to be BOTH sexy and professional. (TBH sexy didn't even come to mind, it was more like DAMN you DID that) Having confidence in yourself and in what YOU like to wear is a blessing. Stop trying to beat down what she and most of us do believe are outfits that fit her and literally have me up out my seat clapping because she SLAYED!
I hope when I enter a professional setting (or, anywhere for that matter) that I look as good as you in my own way. She and her style are something to look up to and I appreciate you sharing Shirley.
