After trying the 860V2 and the 1906R I was impressed with the retro runners from New Balance! So I wanted to try an entry level pair at $100 and I am impressed, great pair for the price.

90s-00s New Balance were bulletproof. I ran 5K a day in them and they'd last for 1-2 years. Very comfortable. I liked them better when they weren't trendy and you got them for $39-$54.
you should rank all the lifestyle looking dad shoes by comfort for a video. would be cool to see this ranked against all the 99x models, the 2002rs, the vomero 5s, etc
We should coin a term for said style shoes since dad shoes are clunkier. MMR (Metallic Mesh Runners) or PKR (Pre-Knit Runners)?
Good idea. But I’d predict the 99x series would win out on comfort and build quality. But are also expensive at twice the price of the 530s.

Soft and comfortable are two completely different things. When compared to some more soft and premium 👟 in my collection (ultraboost 22, yeezy 380, puma rsx, foam rnrs), the 530s is the only pair I can rock day and night no problem
Got myself a pair of Puma Nitro Teveris recently. Has the look of NB dad shoes for a fraction of the price here in Japan🔥
530 silhouette is really trending in Asia.
Those collaborations are the 530 encaps so are essentially a different shoe, as well as being limited edition model.
I love your videos, love your content, probably one of the best sneaker youtube channel... but, why do your sneakers always look they are two or three sizes up? I've found out the NB9060 are not as long as they looked on you... well, just my thoughts. Keep it up, great work apart personal details!

The quality looks better then most all leather made in USA pairs Iv bought. The painting applications are so botched
How much height do they give you I’m guessing 1 inch? I’m 5’11 and I always want to be at least 6ft
So, it was my understanding that the higher the number of the shoe, meant the more technology it has..... Hence the 574 would be more technically advanced..... 🤔

They’re not made for long term use, the mash over the big toe will break through very quick…

Adidas Strutters are nicer, probably last longer, have the same '90s vibe and are half the price.
530>860v2>1906 tbh ... I do like the 860v2 best from a strictly silhouette POV but 530 has better colorways available.
also, as you mentioned, the 530 came out in '92 and its funny NB markets it as a "2000s" sneaker

Why (almost) nobody makes this style of running shoes anymore? I find them both comfortable and good looking at the same time. Modern style running shoes are plain ugly.

@@RobLewis3 Yeah.. there is also Adidas Response CL, but that's about it.. not really a lot of options, and quite expensive too, at least where I live in EU they are all over 100 euro a pair. It's a pitty.. dad shoes are cool! Especially if you're a dad 😅
