I have tried to translate them, but I am not sure if this is correct in detail: Benzin - petrol (UK); gasoline (USA) Kerosin - kerosene Petroleum - petroleum, paraffin, kerosene Not in the song: Leichtbenzin (literal: light Benzin) - gasoline (USA); benzine; light petrol Schwerbenzin (ilteral: heavy Benzin) - heavy fuel He sings “explosiv wie Kerosin”: as explosive as kerosene. Also an interesting word is Kraftstoff, at least I like the word. It means fuel for an engine, but the literal meaning is “power substance”.

They must have took the idea of setting the ''fan'' on fire from Metallica, they did this during the song Enter Sandman fom their Cunning Stunts show. It is well worth checking out as more than just the ''fan'' being set on fire takes place : )

Benzin means Gasolin. The song is about his love for Gasolin (and fire), and that he don't need alcohol, drugs etc. as long as he have his Gasolin(fire). To the "Fan" he is saying "get out of here"...piss ant (or something along those lines). The Chorus is translated into "I need oil for gas" Explosive with Kerosine With lots of octane without lead A Fuel like...Benzin. SInce I'm not German, I please correct me if I'm wrong, but it should be something along those lines.

The idea for the song came from Paul (the rhythm guitarist). He said Rammstein is still missing a song about the theme.

The German letter "z" is pronounced like the "ts" at the start of words like "tsunami" or "tsar". Hence: Benzin = BEN-TSEEN
