Y'know, the Unmoored World and thus Dragonsplague is basically all caused by the Brine in the first place. Keep the irony in mind when you throw your Pawn in the river to cure it. Also I'm definitely talking too loud now. Probably because of the deafness thing screwing with my perceptions.
Thanks for the video and your help over on the Steam Discussion boards. 400+ hours in DD2 and never had DP in my Main Pawn. Then the first time I went to the Unmoored World and my Main Pawn got ill, I freaked. I could just see my MP giving me her final sweet "talk" and stating how meaningful our time together has been, in between red eye flashes and hocking up spit.
Yeah, I was all primed to res everyone and have them climb out of their coffins, but apparently the thing for bringing everyone back from the dead doesn't work in the morgue.
Good vid mate. I reckon they should've made the dragonsplague event a boss fight, with a chance to revert it if you meet very specific conditions that majority of players wouldn't be able to. Would make for more interesting story if you had to be the one to kill your pawn.
I think it would be lessened by the ways the Pawns can get possessed and end up having to be beaten down by the Arisen already. One of my fights against a Dullahan and a bunch of Wraiths in the Unmoored World on my 2nd account ended up a 2-on-2 fight between myself and one of my pawns against the other two. I think what would work better is if your own pawn triggers the Genocide Event, they're just permanently berserk until you travel without them to complete a quest to cure them.
Ive played for 261 hours and still have yet to encounter it organically, yet to see the tutorial message pop up even, so why did they nerf it? I very much wouldve liked to have experienced it blind or without expecting it but its literally never even shown up in my game outside of that one situation where it cant actually affect anything
The panic posts really set unrealistic expectations about it and I suspect the nerf was completely unnecessary. I expect most people could get through the entire game without ever really encountering it. Or at least not encountering it at infection level 5 or above when the symptoms are visible.

That bit with the wake stone cracked me up. The animation was so epic then the stone just fell to the ground 😂

@@SotiCoto ah, I like that, make a huge arduous journey with the pawn that you sculpted yourself.
