Somehow stumbled upon your channel and this video convinced me to take the few minutes to look into modding AMS2. I had always assumed the cars wouldn't be up to developer standards in terms of feel, but holy smokes are some of these mods amazing. The BMW Z4 feels fantastic and is my new favorite pairing for multi-class racing with Le Mans, which is saying a lot at the moment. Thanks for sharing!
Another convert! Go throw the mod group C cars round le mans, Jag or the mazda ;) oh and the Z4's have colour tinted headlights, looks amazing on track!
HI, Recently found you. I've driven Asseto Corsa for years and just got AMS2 on the winter sale. Love it. And love the Radical! My son and I got to watch them at Road America these last 2 years and they are really neat to see in person. Off to get the Bannochbrae track. Cheers!
Hi Owen ...Having been inspired by your videos ,I spent this morning downloading content manager and various cars and tracks ...what a simple process ...Big thank you for making me aware ...1 question whilst driving Brno circuit do you find that the garage doors are shut whilst in the pits ?
Not driven Bruno recently? It's not all perfect, you will find an occasional issue with a mod but fingers crossed I've only had 2 issues, one with a ferrari with no sound and alpinia with the same issue. Glad you've come over to the mod side :)
@@hereward1971 Brno works fine for me, the one that I have a big problem with is one of the 3 variations of Sonoma. The top (longest version) one in the page doesn't work at all. As soon as I press 'start' it spins violently out of control and ends up upside down somewhere. Oddly enough this doesn't happen with the two other variations of this track. Can someone confirm if this happens at your end? This during free practice.
@@nativerezmedia It also happens during races. Tried racing that first/longest track last night and sure enough all the cars in the grid in front of me were crashing into each other while spinning around. It was neat! What's more: for some reason your car shakes but is still driveable. So you can drive past the carnage and race solo. Great way to say you came from dead last in the grid and finishing first, for those whose bragging is a thing. Fortunately this doesn't happen with the two other versions of the track, and the only variation on the next track in the list is a slight variation of a single corner. So we can still very much enjoy this classic track.
i did this last night but with the ford RS 200 ,, pity nobody races the mods online well if they do its never when im on , or id race with you on this track all night mate its my fav track of them all
I have fallen in love with this track, I have been testing all sorts of cars on it having fun, DTM's, old GT Classics porsche & Corvette, the formula juniors, vintage G2, copa classics Next is the GT1 and then Group C but I usually use them on Willow Springs which is so good with them.
@@JohnvanderGeest558 Yes I think it loads the default trees for non mod tracks and mod trees for mod tracks. I haen't had to turn my graphic settings down on mod tracks or cars and it automatically sorts the trees out so you just don't notice.
I am just wondering is the AI coded into the circuit? I believe it is. Do you know if the mod cars have, at least, a close approximation of the tyre model as the cars in-game?
Not sure on the Ai but they work equaly as well on mod tracks so possibly no as for mod cars, we race multiclass and the feel and performance feels and looks right in the timing charts.
Great driving as always I have been immensely enjoying these mods, however I have only scratched the surface as to what I have added to my ASM 2, BTW what VR headset are you using? Lol, you had me on the edge of my seat..... that was one action packed race.
Nice of you to put up links to the mods pages. For anyone reading this and haven't ventured into these yet, I strongly recommend it. Easy and quick and so very rewarding. Curious if you managed to grab the Aston Martin Valkyrie? I don't see a d/l button for it. It's a gorgeous car, would love to add it to my collection.
@@hereward1971 Possibly, but that page says THESE are all compatible with 1.5.5. So perhaps the creator forgot to add the d/l link, is what I'm thinking. He may not even be aware if that's the case. Hopefully someone will inform him and it can be fixed. That car looks fabulous.

Such a good car and track combination, so much fun. The Mods are a must for AMS2, a no brainer.

check metz vr hes hosting mod races and lie streams them, usualy a good number on the track :) jump in and enjoy!

It has a nice flow, bit bumpy for gt1 and c class IMO?

Are the trees of the regular AMS2 tracks also replaced?
If you use mod tracks then yes, theres a tree pack you download, top of the page with the mod track downloads
And are the default tracks with PC2 trees still compatible with other normal default AMS2 tracks online?

Using the oculus rift S, it's about as higher resolution as my 1080ti can cope with at medium settings and 80fps.
