If you get a violation, call support and they will tell you the restaurant you picked up from. That will help you figure out which delivery it was. I fought and had all my violations removed in a couple days after appealing through the door dash app.
#MrBetonyou , I got that email 2 weeks ago texted me he got the wrong BK order while I was there. I called, texted (no answer) trying to hear his logic but kept quite. Finally I told doordash that I have evidence of picture including the named receipt on the food, they said DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT THE CONTRACT VIOLATIONS will go away after 100 deliveries. BUT WHY THE HELL AM I GETTING THAT WHWN A CUSTOMER STEALS FOOD, and I kept calling and emailed because I was furious. Guess what happened next, my account was un-loggable for 3 days. Finally I opened it day 5 and now I'm getting 2 & 3$ dollars to discourage me because they didn't have any legal way to terminate my account. Now it's almost not worth going out as I ONLY get 3 orders throughout the day. Was I wrong naging them that I have evidence and asked them to remove the violation? Idk. I appreciate your channel, and I will subscribe ✌️
What happens when you have a dasher scamming you of your meal? I’m a dasher myself, so please give me grace. But I had one lady who took my order and she was in the parking lot of the restaurant. (Believe me when I say this is not our first encounter with her delivering to my hometown) Then she was telling me, “I’m getting gas”. Minutes later tells me, “I can’t afford to get to your order to ‘blank town’ can you cancel the order.” I asked her, “Why don’t you go to the support group and request to back out of the order” As said before, I’m a dasher myself so I know how it works. She claims and swore to me she can’t back out of the order, even though I showed her what to do. And just kept DEMANDING I just cancel the order. I also was contacting the support group to try to help with the situation. But I just got frustrated and told her, “Then why did you accept the order?”. As I was backing out from the order, she made one last comment saying “Wow, when I accept the order I don’t know where it’s going!” EVEN THOUGH SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS DELIVERING TO ‘blank town’!!!! I end up reporting to her to DoorDash and they gave me my refund back and an additional $5 for the inconvenience. Anyone else have this experience??
Right? And then they have the nerve to send us a message saying do you feel safe we should all start replying no and giving them a taste of Their Own medicine.
I can usually smell when a customer is going to claim they never received their order. Sketchy delivery instructions, won't answer their phone, won't answer their texts, want to meet you in the parking lot instead of "Leave it at my door" etc. Buyer beware.
Yeah, first day I ever did DoorDash I almost would of had a CV. The instructions for the order was leave at the apartment door but she came out to the parking lot to meet me. I basically said to her what's the deal? I said you don't get the food unless I take the picture. Oh okay, yeah sister not happening. I took the picture when she walked away as well. I contacted DD and explained the situation later when I got home & the rep told me I was reported for no delivery on that one. I said I have proof and I sent the pictures to them, so no dice. Stupid lol. Yeah, apartment orders with jumping through hoops with gate codes & trying to find buildings. Then you going to try and get free food, nawh. DD has GPS so they know you were there and then you have proof with pictures, no ma'am. Always protect yourself with pics & screenshots.
I take 2 pics every time, 1 for the DD app and 1 with timestamp app. I know it may seem a bit much but it's just a few seconds to protect myself later. After so much time, I'll delete those "old" DD photos. I also write down every delivery, EVERY one of my over 3200 deliveries are in journals. This has been SO helpful!
The company can see you drove to the home. It seems ridiculous they would accept the scammer's version when they can see a driver went to the delivery location and how long they were there.
I had a dashmart order that was kinda weird last week. I took it to the exact apartment that was listed on the app but wouldn't let me complete it because it was pinned at the next building over and I even showed pics to support. When they contacted customer they changed address and then canceled the order right after so I just took the dashmart order back but I feel like this person was trying to get a free order hoping I would leave it there
It happened to me too pinged a different addresses so i called the customer they claimed they cancelled. Support said keep the order. It was junk food from 711
I always tell the hand it to me customers that “I have to take a confirmation picture “. Then send that picture to the customer in the in-app chat. Than support can see it, and the customer knows not to fuck with you.
Yeah, I was doing that for every hand to be also, but some of the customers were getting. P***** because I was asking for the picture and gave me a low rating because of that.
I actually take a picture with a free app called timestamp. It has the delivery address and the time of the delivery right on the picture, then take that photo and post it as the photo in the app, so that both Doordash and the customer know that I was at the correct address and what time I was there.
I so much appreciate all the gigtubers that share all these scams so we are more aware. I havent had the didnt recieve my order(knock on wood) but did just have the customer having someone trying to pick up the same order I was their for and saying he meant to do a pick up order and can I just cancel it. Nope not doing that because fortunately I knew what was happening. I couldnt imagine jeopardizing someones way to make money for some Chipotle. Some people just have no morals it's sad!
The merchants are also partially at fault for that scenario. They should be verifying that you actually have the order on your device, by either scrolling back to the dash and return to the order page or move it up and down so that they know for sure that you are the person assigned to the order.
@@SamanthalovesFlowers I agree. They know who is supposed to get the order and should follow how it came through on their system. Problem with places like Chipotle is too many people handling one order and they also just dont care.
I've been lucky and have not had this happen to me since I first start doing doordash. First week ever doing it I got my first violation saying they didn't receive their order. I was able to prove it and the violation was removed. Now im finding more in the past week my customer rating is dropping. It was 5.00 now it's 4.8. Something fishy is going on with doordash. But I will continue to do my job the best I can.
Slander and defamation of character lawsuit against anyone who falsely accuses you of taking or not delivering the order. At least 80% of those orders would magically appear or accusation retracted once they find out "someone else in their family grabbed the order." We are independent contractors and our character shouldn't be allowed to be smeared because someone decided they wanted their order free.
Happened to me for the second time. So upsetting , what's even more sad is when there is a kids meal or kids size treat involved in the order. I've started taking screen shots of the drop off pictures , and if it's a hand it to me order , I try to take a pic of the food with the address in the back ground or before I hand it to them. The picture is sufficient so long as your GPS shows you were there is when it is investigated by a person , hopefully with a brain , I always tell them to ask for a picture of the customers house. Door Dash values their honest drivers.
@@user-ny7vz9fh5y kb photo vs 100s kb video, same out come. You're right !! Because I would atleast spend $120 on a body cam. It ain't trickin if ya got it. 😁😉💪 I don't dash in a warzone out of 1400 deliveries I've only gotten 2 violations thrown out. I think I'm 👍🏽
I still ate a contract violation even though I had pictures of the delivery showing the address and they knew I was there by GPS. I was a newer Dasher at the time, it was supposed to be a hand to me, the customer had messaged and told me to leave it at the door instead. I ate the violation because although I followed his instructions which they could see the notes, the in-app instructions were still hand to me. I ended up eating the violation because I didn't follow the procedures and start the 5-minute timer and go through the steps. I did have photos from timestamp app. But doordash didn't care.
New update just hit my market where when you are heading towards drop off, it will show a picture of where the last driver successfully left the food at to help the driver find the exact place, and so that the customer doesn't lie about it not being "their door"
I got my first CV today after nearly 700 deliveries, honestly who steals some McDonalds? I tried to eat some a few days ago after not having any for years and I felt aweful all day the next day.
Never leave an order unattended if the notes say meet the customer!!! I know as a shopper we are rushing to keep it pushing ! But don’t leave it unattended unless you get there approval through the chat ! Also take multiple pictures of the delivery the address etc
I know it's probably bc they want to scam, but living in an apartment bldg, I get groceries delivered from Walmart at least once a week, I'd never click leave at door. That's just silly to me, anyone can come along and snag my stuff and I have to sign for it. That's how it should be for everything. I did delivery for a local food delivery app and they just had you hand it to the customer and they rely on no one being scammy, but some people just suck. The only time we'd take pics is if the customer said to leave at door. I always tried to get the address in the Pic, but even handing it to someone, there's no protection. I don't understand why they all can't have the customer sign for it.
I had a contract violation as soon as I dropped of an order and completed the order, it was on there. I sent the customer the order of the picture with the address in the picture, I appealed it with DD and it was removed the next day. I think some of the people say leave at the door, then they come out and get the order from you. The last few times, I been taking a picture of their house anyway.
I usually get a second option that i can click ‘handed to customer’ but i mark that & take a pic of the house & sometimes I’ll tell them i need a picture & they’ll be in it 😂
My biggest red flag is when customer puts leave at door but they come out and want me to hand it to them. I make sure I take a pic of the food in thieve hand.
Got a contract violation for being late and was stuck in traffic on 370, bad accident.. called the customer and door dash support about it and said they marked it on a note.. yeah still got the violation for being late even tho there wasn't anything i could do about it.,.
I take photos of all deliveries even when I hand it to them. Last delivery tonight was a hand it to customer. When I got there he wanted me to complete the order instead of waiting the 5 minutes. When I told him I submit photos of all deliveries to DD he told me to forget the 5 minutes, complete the order & leave. Everything is CYA!
Hi I’m one of the older dashers( 73) with more than 5k delivers. As a retiree it works me so thanks for sharing Pedro and others. I stay on point as result of your sharing. Very Interested in a membership! Stay safe people and let’s continue to make $$$
I take screen shots of GPS when I get there and take pic of person getting the food even if it's a hand to me. 1 girl asked the other day told her to many say they didn't get it. So now we document everything
I have noticed the app now asks if I am at the right address even though the map takes me to the correct address. I take a picture of the house #, submit it in the text then do the photo of food delivery. When the app sends that push it makes me wonder if it is a customer that reports regularly they didn’t receive their food.. 🤔
When I deliver, & I have the person on video, it would be hard to say they didn't receiver the order. Maybe I should record all orders that I deliver. But, the "Hand it to me" I do for sure. We got the body cam after out first "Violation" I handed the 40ish guy his Starbucks order, & he said he didn't receive it. Now the body came is plainly visible, & we have had no more of those complaints...
I take a pic on every order, I have also stated putting address and restaurant. I only use the in app navigation. I have a few who requested to leave certain place or the describe a vehicle, I try to get that in a pic. I've had 2 CVs and both I simply disputed them by saying I use in app navigation and camera. Also Google maps has street view, so if all else fails they can see the house from street view and get identifying features.
I do customer service at REI and we use the street view all the time to see if it looks like the package was left at the right house, and let me tell you, we are talking$300-$1000 orders that people state are missing! It's nuts!
Easy solution- mandatory PIN code- you can’t get around it because it’s something the customer has to give you. If the customer refuses to give it to you- then the customer shouldn’t receive their food and get charged- PERIOD!!!
Uber has a pin system in place and it's garbage (unless it's been changed). From what I remember the way it worked was if they didn't have it you dont leave the order, but that itself is saftey issue sometimes especially when they don't "know the pin" and are possibly desparate, miserable human being who knows what trouble could come from that if you walk away with the order. That puts the delivery driver more at risk of other problems and safety issues because when you standing there waiting on the pin time is ticking. Thankfully I haven't had saftey issues arrise from that part but know fellow drivers that have. It's the whole moments of looking at your phone entering pin that is problem imo. But then again, I don't delivery with Uber anymore because of that and the tip baiting issue.
I try to take a wide picture to include windows, doormats, etc. If the house/building number doesn't show. Even hand-off orders take a picture of your location or their hand when handing over the food
Super frustrating to get contract violations. I had 2 in one month for no delivery, and the most frustrating part is that DD hasn’t even reviewed my cases.
One scam I have seen is, not the right order delivered, so I take a close up of the bag with the name at the door..........close up, I save that one for 30 days and then I take another with the app. If I can't get the address number in the app pic I take 2 more on my phone, they are dated and timed. So far 2 times this has saved me from violations!!! Both times "wrong order delivered"......ha got them both time!!! Protect yourselves
Today DD kept on sending me the same EXACT order over and over even after I declined it. It kept on happening all day today, anyone else experiencing the same issue 😮
Yes it happened to me tonight. 3 straight Chipotle orders followed by 5 straight Chick-fil-A orders and 5 straight of Grill Kabob (a local Mom and Pop place in our mall). I logged off shortly after.
YESSSS! I uninstalled and reinstalled the app (iPhone) reset network settings thinking it was on my end. It happened 3-4 times and then settled down. One thing I noticed is it didn’t hit my AR for each one like it “threatens” when you decline an order
@@DarrenWorldW1deit started to annoy me so much, like omg didn’t I just decline this order? The same order got sent to me 5 times regardless of me declining it. I wasn’t paying attention to AR so no comment on that.
I had one on Uber eats on Monday. I usually don't drive on Monday but for some reason I got on the app and noticed two messages in my inbox and one was for a customer saying did not receive order . Notice was sent 19 hours before I saw it so that should have made it sent to me around 10:30pm. I don't drive after dark and I knew I hadn't accepted any orders on Uber on Sunday. I called trying to figure out what customer on Saturday said they didn't get their order and Uber wouldn't tell me anything other than it wouldn't affect me because my rating was good and they'd look into the customer. As far as I know the no delivery was for someone else's account and got put on mine! They should at least be able to tell you time, date and restaurant name.
Take pics of food on chat description thank rate in text be on the up and up final pic ALWAYS be address/street view my violations always came down when I did that 2 times I didn't bc I was in a hurry both times waiting on their order boom they got me
im giving up with door dash currently im looking for work, I keep getting crappy orders and its demotivating me to go out and drive. It's just not worth my time and energy any more. What sucks is that I even live in a good market but the app is always dead for me. To many drivers I guess, my last order i got was 6 bucks for 11 mils. I was like nope im done with door dash, il still watch your videos man! you motivate me to get out and hustle!
After receiving a CV while dashing in bflo NY last month I now text every customer that I'm on my way with the name of restaurant. This ensures the customer knows I'm on my way. Especially "hand to customer" when I see that I text I've arrived.
I got a message from UE a customer tried to say I was not the person who delivered her order. The only people i had any contact with was a delivery to a nursing home which required a pin. It was a hand to me order . Cannot go up in nursing homes in my area. Anyways she gives the receptionist 2 different numbers they dont work. I am done with the game so i am leaving with the food to call uber and suddenly i got the right pin. She couldnt say she didnt get the order and get it free. So shr tried to say someone else was using my account. This was the only place i had any contact with any human. I was on to her game so she tried another route. Did not work uber flagged her account or they said they did. People will do anything to get their food free.
If i feel suspicious every photo i take includes the address rather it's on my phone or through the app! Because these trash human beings won't get over on me when I've done nothing wrong
The way I feel on the ones that claim they never got their food? It happens. Lately I've not only been taking pictures, but doing screen shots of each order because I tend to forget where and what on each order.
DD and the others MUST put the responsibility on the customer WHEN it's a contactless (drop at the door) selection!!! If they say drop it, then it's on THEM!!! When you hand it to a customer then take a picture of them getting it and then 0 (ZERO) problems with orders that don't get delivered !!! THIS MUST STOP or drivers will QUIT!!!
This whole time I thought acceptance rating is what gives you good orders if it’s high, but it’s actually the customer satisfaction rating. It took me about two months to get mine back up to 5.0 and once it changed to 5.0, I’ve been getting way better offers for the past few days, it was like this before somebody gave me a four star rating. I guarantee if you bring up your rating to 5.0, you will see better orders, I promise!
I had the same experience, but let’s be honest. A 5 star rating is just pure luck. I held mine for more than two months until I got a revenge rating from a customer who wanted me to bend the rules in an alcohol delivery. I have appealed it but who knows when or if it will ever come off? Never been below 4.96 in 2200+ dashes. But you cannot control customer ratings, and therefore they should not be used to prioritize our offers. So depressing seeing any number other than 5 on my ratings page.
I have a good bit to say regarding this video's info. First, I love this new tier and how you're thinking about it. It might be biting off more than you can chew, but I hope not. Also, I've (or Gary from Mid Tech) has solved our problems regarding indescript photos, with the camera option on DUH. It gives not only the address but your coordinates and the time and date in the photo. Some will say that can be photoshopped, but in the amount of time it takes from arrival to picture taken, no. Glad you're re-monetized bro, here's to many more monetized years of making helpful content.
WingStop in Okc is an auto decline from me. Wendy’s also. Taco Bell is hit or miss. Idk why WingStop is so bad at every location here. They make you sign in and what name your picking up and still people report never getting their food.
We all know that "hand to me" are the most volatile deliveries, especially if its "Leave Door" but customer comes out before photo and ends up "handed to customer" So i always make the comment such as "hey u look familiar, or i like your lawn gnomes".That way the customer knows you will remember them. Who wants to fraudulently get someone fired when u know they know where u live?
Hey Pedro thank you! Maybe other ppl have mentioned this, but I’ve added a couple new defenses to my toolbox. When the GPS clearly indicates the delivery location but I can’t get a visual on the number, I screenshot the location from Directions and drop that in the customer chat with the ubiquitous upbeat “arriving!” Also, I scrutinize my zone, esp if I’m dashing in a new market. Some zones will not allow you to avoid getting constantly thrown into bad karma situs where fast food and scamming customers tend to coexist in major numbers. If I’m in a zone where high paying orders are possible, but I keep getting thrown back into these unsafe zones, where I feel too exposed to potential scammers, I pause or end my dash and switch zones. Finally, I am not yet disciplined enough to screenshot every order showing the merchant AND the name of the customer with address. Knowing that stuff makes appeals sound way more authoritative. I’m working on this as my new goal this Fall. Thanks again!
This is the reason why i dont take orders without tips. Every since then , never experienced negative customers again 😂💯 plus im been doing doordash for 5 years💯 honestly last time i had a violation which was 4 years ago customer lied about not getting the order , best believe it was a no tip delivery trip
To all the other drivers in KC did Doordash constantly send the same order back to you today even after declining it multiple times? I had to decline the same orders 10 plus times in a row today before they stopped resending. WTF? Never seen that before and thought it was illegal. They did this all day long with every order.
Same in Nevada. Either it's a bug everywhere or DD is testing out ways of getting their trash orders taken. Or trying to get rid of the drivers who won't carry trash...
EVERY ORDER, I take a pic. If it’s hand it to me, I ask them to smile cause I need a photo. They get aggravated but they can’t deny if they holding the damn order. 😂 I’m not playing w my money and my time. I keep a folder of pics in my phone for a few days of past orders.
I definitely understand people lying about this has caused me to put dash cams on my vehicle and I do wear a police bodycam while doing deliveries. People are a lot less likely to lie when they've seen a bodycam while you do a hand it to me, and are afraid that you have footage of the delivery. Since I've started wearing it I have not had any contract violations. Worth every penny I spent on it.
Hey Ricky, have a recommendation or link for a good body cam? I think a phone is okay but a body cam would add an extra layer of protection! Smart to protect ourselves out here w/scammers and the food delivery companies not willing to remove violations. Where I live you can't get the address number in the pic with the food left at the door option. The address is usually on the garage or at the opposite side of the front door & garage etc.
It happened with me too man on DD. I saw them come outside and get their food. Also had someone who I gave a Lyft ride to make a false claim. He was under age and smelled of pot. I think he told his parents that it was my car that made him smell of pot. Lyft contacted me and I told them my side and they lifted the hold on my account. I’m 5 star on Lyft so it’s really hard for them to get one over on me… thankfully!
I recently had a message saying i did not deliver an Instacart order. Lucky for me i had a timestamp photo on deck to prove i delivered the food. And here is the kicker. The house is in a high end area of Jacksonville FL south San Pablo. 😂😂😂😂
I've gotten 2 CVs. One was because a college student stole the order from another student at a dorm. The other one was to a ghetto neighborhood and the people just lied and said they never got their food. People are just horrible.
Brooo I’m getting the same order over an over. Was on a roll $200+ an now this bs won’t stop 🤬🤬🤬🤬tried restarting app an my phone an it’s still happening
I ended my shift early and went home. Sometimes that’s the best thing to do when the app gets wobbly. For me, door dash isn’t as fun (or profitable) if I’m aggravated with the app.
FYI, Doordash will compare Google street view to the photo dasher uploaded. When someone claims the order wasn't delivered. Support will verify address, then look at that address on Google street view n the picture of drop off. They will ask customer something like. Ok so your McDonald's order was left on the porch of a blue house, dasher set it on black chair near the front door. Cause even if we include the address in the pic, doesn't guarantee I'm on the right street only that I'm at a house with same numbers
Screen shot every customer, also a pucture of the whole house if you can't get the address in. I've also taken pictures and short video of the drop off. I really agree that a body cam would be best.
Be careful of those orders that are ordered directly from the restaurant and not thru the DD APP The default is...."hand to me"...with comments usually stating.....Leave at door I specifically call the customer stating they have to come & receive their food. This type of order should be handled methodically as it has the potential to come back and bite you! If they respond ..."just leave it at the door ..I reiterate that they have to come to door to receive the food!
So if they do that before you hit complete delivery which would close it out automatically if it's a hand it to me in the system open up the chat take a picture of where you're putting it so it's getting sent to them and doordash will see that in the chat and if anyone tries to say or I didn't get my food you had the proof right there in the chat after you snapped that picture and send it to him then hit you deliver the food that's how I handle it
I don’t work areas with broke people, at least very few Why does everyone keep saying times are tough, people have been saying that for as long as I can remember. I don’t think times are ever tough, I think people make stupid choices and don’t get their choices caused their problems
For those thinking of trying to commit fraud against a courier or delivery driver, whether those delivery drivers are an independent contractor or employed with a postal (heh) company such as UPS or USPS: 1. GPS apps used by delivery companies use real world tracking to track the driver and their destination. Companies will know about where the driver is going and some GPS apps, such as Waze will also save a history of where the driver’s destinations were. This happens even if you haven’t been “caught” lying. 2. Couriers and delivery drivers, especially more experienced delivery workers, can and will screenshot any interactions they have, including GPS locations and text message interactions. 3. Company trucks and cars of IC (Independent Contractors) use dash cams or security cameras that record front and back and newer vehicle models also have cameras installed in them for security/safety purposes.
Sucks that there are so many thieves out there. Have some morality. At least a small percentage of society but that stupid small percentage of people has an awful societal impact.
Pedro I had the same thing happen to me on a Taco Bell order it was a contactless delivery took the picture and always make sure I get the address number on it and later that night a saw I had a contract violation and I contacted support and disputed it. Was told it will get reviewed took 5 days and it just got removed today.
Also they claim getting the wrong order. That's one I've had issues with twice. Also there's one that is like they'll have it you drop it off where they work in the back section and you take it to customer service rather than leaving it outside because it says leave at door and then they say please give to customer service and then before you can complete the order they've cancelled the order. I had it happen twice in one day, but fortunately I had time stamp app photos of both drop offs, so I got full pay on both of them.
I got one this morning. I only did one delivery yesterday , Taco Bell $8 .So half basepay, half tip of $4, it was a leave a door, found exact house and it had a mesh table by the door, took pic, texted customer and left. The customer still left her tip of $4. So?….What else are we supposed to do? Hide in the bushes and video tape them grabbing the food? Is is video time for everyone?
Happened to me on August 25th. I was tracked to their home address yet they were able to get a free meal. I now have a dash cam I am installing due to holiday scammers.
One of the rewards I think I get from continuing to cherry pick despite getting crummy orders not being a top dasher is by only taking decent tip orders I rarely get CVs. It's been over 2 years I had 2 the first 6 months that existed and both were overturned and none since. It's you guys doing the by the hour stuff with non tippers or those chasing top dasher that get hit by this the hardest. On Doordash anyway.
Timestamp Camera the free version is boss. Shows address and date/time on lower left. Also found adding " Customer address logged" makes CV disapear. You have option for it to say anything like that. Get it!
Great video! But I must say… it’s not that people are desperate. It’s that people are really just mischievous. Most have the money to pay. But if the company makes it so easy to request a refund regardless of if the delivery driver is put in harms way, people will file for a refund. Plus, they give refunds so easily to keep people ordering. It’s a crazy game and protect yourself
Did a very strange Doordash order the other day. Little Caesars, under "Hand to Customer" it said n/a (not applicable/available) so when I deliver the pizza, I leave it at the door, and upon completion it didn't prompt me to take a picture either. I cringed, and took a photo of the mailbox/address. Nothing came of it, but it was strange, so I took an extra step. Don't need the hassle. No tip order too *eyeroll*
Dashing is a choice. I have made that choice and everything is on me. It is bad, though, when you hold your breath everytine you log on knowing a deactivation notice or contract violation possible. Also on addresses, it should be a law that the address is on the front door. Of course, that would fall on the Home Owners Association to enforce that.
I had a customer that said they didn't get their food and the funny thing is I even took the picture with their door address in the picture and sent it to them, anyways, that clown lives in the same complex I was living in also and these apartments are not cheap, I though about printing out a sign and putting it on their door that said "This person loves to steal food from DoorDash and is a miserable human being". I didn't though, she isn't worth my time and I have video proof, but, if I had I think that would take being petty to a whole new level lol.
I've been delivering since April. I've had one and only one customer who reported their food was not delivered. I disputed with DoorDash and they removed the contract violation. Turns out the customer had several previous orders that mysteriously never showed up. Now I look closely and if I see it's going to be delivered to that particular area (which is in a shitty, unsafe part of town anyway), I just reject the offer.
For now on im gonna take a photo with f the address if it’s on the mailbox and texting it to the customer then I’m gonna leave the food at the door and take the regular delivery photo. A lot of times the address is not on the door. That way rhere is a record right on the customers text messages of the address. I don’t need a bunch of address photos in my phone. The customer will see their address if they look at their text messages and might think twice about being a scam prick. I must add that most of my customers are Not scammers and are very nice . It’s just a few.
Pedro, I love your channel and I am an OG watching you. I’ve watched you thru all the shit you have had to endure in the gig community. I appreciate you in every way! BUT, I need to tell you I can’t financially support ya cause I got my own shit going on, but I’m hardcore supporting you. I just lost my daughter who was 28 and pregnant. She was killed on duty as an EMR 3 months ago😞 I’m trying to get from day to day right now. I do enjoy your channel. It helps me to keep dashing and stay motivated. ❤ from Louisiana as usual.
When the order says "Hand it to me" Click couldn't hand it to customer as soon as you get the order so when you get there you can take your photo and not have to wait 5 minutes.
I take pictures of all of my deliveries but the thing is the way places are addressed here some people have mailboxes that are out on the road but they do not have a number on their house or wear the number on their house is located you can't get a picture of the food showing the house number in it sometimes you're delivering to an apartment so you not getting the street address and some of these apartments don't have a number on the door
Here’s how I do it. I photog the mailbox number and text it to the customer with “arriving!” Before I roll up the drive with my flashers on to deliver.
I just noticed in unauthorized transaction at a local gas station, and now my account is overdrawn. I didn't even know that you could go below zero dollars on these dasher cards! I went into the gas station at like 12:30 a.m., and the attendant said no. I haven't seen you in here all night and the transaction was supposedly made after midnight, so I just can't understand what happened.
I had a contract violation recently. I have the address in the photo I disputed it with door Dash and believe it or not, they removed it! First time I’ve ever happen, where they remove the violation for me.
Hello, thanks for sharing this information. My question is, when you get a contract violation do you still get the tip? Are you still able to get future orders?
Check the Membership Tab of the Channel if you are interested in a Personalized Experience and Ready to Level Up 💪🏼
If you get a violation, call support and they will tell you the restaurant you picked up from.
It's sad that we are not more protected
Happened to me. But they never msgd. Me that they never got their order. If it is true they would msg you to ask a about their food.😂😂
This has been SO helpful!
i dont think we are paid enough to journal every delivery.
but if its works for you, good for you. i hope you are making great money.
I like the idea of the second picture. I’ve done that a few times
Interesting! When do you write them down?
The company can see you drove to the home. It seems ridiculous they would accept the scammer's version when they can see a driver went to the delivery location and how long they were there.
I've had 3 CVs on DoorDash and none of them stuck! And miserable pieces of trash human beings got life all the way messed up!
I hear you Karl
@@itsasecret2474 Doesn’t matter man. Would you rather get a “bad rating” that means absolutely nothing, or potentially lose your account!
Brilliant...through the app
By the way, Wingstop is for the connoisseur scammers. It’s the high end dinner spot for the most miserable people out there scamming Dashers!
Agreed that's why I stay away from accepting orders there..
I actually take a picture with a free app called timestamp. It has the delivery address and the time of the delivery right on the picture, then take that photo and post it as the photo in the app, so that both Doordash and the customer know that I was at the correct address and what time I was there.
You’re not wrong people are broke. Every time I do a shopping order I hear people complain about the prices.
Biden’s America! 😂😂😂
Door Dash values their honest drivers.
imagine being like u and not spending $60 for a body cam in 2023
@@user-ny7vz9fh5y kb photo vs 100s kb video, same out come. You're right !! Because I would atleast spend $120 on a body cam. It ain't trickin if ya got it. 😁😉💪
I don't dash in a warzone out of 1400 deliveries I've only gotten 2 violations thrown out.
Just make sure you go through the can’t hand to customer steps with the 5 minute timer and you’ll be good.
I take a picture with my phone and send it to them in the chat!
If you take a picture of the front door. DoorDash can compare to other previous orders and confirm that’s where you dropped it off
Hi
I’m one of the older dashers( 73) with more than 5k delivers. As a retiree it works me so thanks for sharing Pedro and others. I stay on point as result of your sharing. Very Interested
in a membership! Stay safe people and let’s continue to make $$$
I had one on DD last week and it was a “leave at the door”! A picture was submitted! It was removed after a couple of days.
@@mipassionanime why would you send me money?
@@sara31773 because I like you
I take screen shots of GPS when I get there and take pic of person getting the food even if it's a hand to me.
I had not thought but that makes so much sense. And if that's the case my God we've got some lowlife people where I work.
I also invested in a nice body cam & 360 cams in the vehicle. Not playing with these liars and thieves.
Whats so crazy these people act like people dont where they live and never know how far a person will go if they lose they job from stupid people
Exactly, anything someone does is justified for messing with someone’s livelihood
YES !!!
Except then you have to wait for some asshole who passed out to open the damn door. No thanks
I try to take a wide picture to include windows, doormats, etc. If the house/building number doesn't show. Even hand-off orders take a picture of your location or their hand when handing over the food
I started doing this too, not of their hand but of their house at least. And especially if it says leave at the door and I end up handing it to them.
Super frustrating to get contract violations. I had 2 in one month for no delivery, and the most frustrating part is that DD hasn’t even reviewed my cases.
I’ve had 2, both times had proof. They never reviewed my dispute.
And yes the same address under each one.
Yes happened to me on Tues...fixed Wednesday
60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. I had 3 bait tips back to back a couple of days ago.
I do it every time.
I have been sending a picture of their house with the food directly to the customer after i drop it off also
Yep, it takes a lot of extra work but I think this is really good advice. I’m trying to add this habit. Tonight!
I always get the address in the picture when I deliver. That helps to prevent these fraudulent claims.
Keep the acceptance rate up to.
I’m in AZ and all Wingstops are an instant decline
People of a darker skin persuasion scamming their wings because they’re broke! 😂😂😂
When the GPS clearly indicates the delivery location but I can’t get a visual on the number, I screenshot the location from Directions and drop that in the customer chat with the ubiquitous upbeat “arriving!”
Also, I scrutinize my zone, esp if I’m dashing in a new market.
I got a CV today from a miserable lying customer..
To all the other drivers in KC did Doordash constantly send the same order back to you today even after declining it multiple times? I had to decline the same orders 10 plus times in a row today before they stopped resending. WTF? Never seen that before and thought it was illegal. They did this all day long with every order.
I had that happen here in Huntsville, AL. It got so bad that DoorDash started sending quadruple-stack order offers for $8 (yes, $2 a piece).
Happened to me in PA today.
Happened to me multiple times in Kingsport,Tn too
Same in Nevada. Either it's a bug everywhere or DD is testing out ways of getting their trash orders taken. Or trying to get rid of the drivers who won't carry trash...
Doordash was back to normal today. It was a glitch or a one day test.
Whenever I have a "Hand it to me" order, or , I think they may pop out to receive the order, I tune on my body cam, so they are recorded...
When I 1st started I thought the no tippers would be super appreciative...WRONG!😂
Pedro, keep up the great ratings!!
Karma will hit those customers right in the ass!
Same thing happened to me earlier
Same to me I thought I was losing my mind lmao
I heard about that on Facebook earlier. People were complaining about it.
The remedy for this is screenshotting your gps position from Directions and putting it in the customer chat. Worth it sometimes!
Screen shot every customer, also a pucture of the whole house if you can't get the address in. I've also taken pictures and short video of the drop off. I really agree that a body cam would be best.
Be careful of those orders that are ordered directly from the restaurant and not thru the DD APP
The default is...."hand to me"...with comments usually stating.....Leave at door
I specifically call the customer stating they have to come & receive their food. This type of order should be handled methodically as it has the potential to come back and bite you! If they respond ..."just leave it at the door ..I reiterate that they have to come to door to receive the food!
So if they do that before you hit complete delivery which would close it out automatically if it's a hand it to me in the system open up the chat take a picture of where you're putting it so it's getting sent to them and doordash will see that in the chat and if anyone tries to say or I didn't get my food you had the proof right there in the chat after you snapped that picture and send it to him then hit you deliver the food that's how I handle it
I don’t work areas with broke people, at least very few
Why does everyone keep saying times are tough, people have been saying that for as long as I can remember.
I don’t think times are ever tough, I think people make stupid choices and don’t get their choices caused their problems
I hear you
i mean a bag of Lays is 7 bucks and thats still the minimum wage for a whole hour of labor.. not saying its ok to scam tho regardless
@@manyyoumas a bag of lays is 3.99
For those thinking of trying to commit fraud against a courier or delivery driver, whether those delivery drivers are an independent contractor or employed with a postal (heh) company such as UPS or USPS:
At least a small percentage of society but that stupid small percentage of people has an awful societal impact.
so the picture of the food being delivered is not good enough ?
Pedro I had the same thing happen to me on a Taco Bell order it was a contactless delivery took the picture and always make sure I get the address number on it and later that night a saw I had a contract violation and I contacted support and disputed it. Was told it will get reviewed took 5 days and it just got removed today.
Nice
Doesn't matter you can have a pic scan I'd and they still say it and doordash doesn't care
i heard the next scam is ..saying u didn't receive a item ...thus driver doesn't get in trouble
You can gps stamp all photos and videos
I got one this morning. I only did one delivery yesterday , Taco Bell $8 .So half basepay, half tip of $4, it was a leave a door, found exact house and it had a mesh table by the door, took pic, texted customer and left. The customer still left her tip of $4. So?….What else are we supposed to do? Hide in the bushes and video tape them grabbing the food? Is is video time for everyone?
Pedro looking good with that fresh cut and beard trim 😂👍🏼
Thanks
Happened to me on August 25th. I was tracked to their home address yet they were able to get a free meal. I now have a dash cam I am installing due to holiday scammers.
get a body cam u dummy, its $60 bucks
One of the rewards I think I get from continuing to cherry pick despite getting crummy orders not being a top dasher is by only taking decent tip orders I rarely get CVs. It's been over 2 years I had 2 the first 6 months that existed and both were overturned and none since. It's you guys doing the by the hour stuff with non tippers or those chasing top dasher that get hit by this the hardest. On Doordash anyway.
Burger King, McDonald's, Wendy's, taco bell, and Jack n the box.
Whene you take a picture, isn't the GPS location with the rest of the data?
Timestamp Camera the free version is boss. Shows address and date/time on lower left. Also found adding " Customer address logged" makes CV disapear. You have option for it to say anything like that. Get it!
Ohhh I take a pic of the delivery every time ❤ excellent video thank you!! 🙏
Inhad one the other night meanwhile the security guard had to enter the code in the elevator for me
Dashing is a choice.
I would definitely have done it dude! Are you kidding me? I would have put her on blast and then some!
Does calling support then asking for "investigations department" and submiting body cam evidence etc. really work?
I've been delivering since April. I've had one and only one customer who reported their food was not delivered. I disputed with DoorDash and they removed the contract violation. Turns out the customer had several previous orders that mysteriously never showed up. Now I look closely and if I see it's going to be delivered to that particular area (which is in a shitty, unsafe part of town anyway), I just reject the offer.
Big cities people get a bad rap altogether but I’ve had a great experience with all my customers.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family
I am sorry for your loss. It hurts so much to lose a child. I lost my son back in May. He was only 43. Praying for your healing.
When the order says "Hand it to me" Click couldn't hand it to customer as soon as you get the order so when you get there you can take your photo and not have to wait 5 minutes.
Having a body cam VERY VERY VISABLE stops most of the meet at door issues, I have noticed over time, never had one yet with meet at door.
I’ve gotten a 1 contract violation from a McDonald’s.
And more recently 1 contract violation from a little Caesars. Both received their orders
Only bad thing with not accepting orders is our acceptance rate suffers.
Haven't seen you in a while. Right now I'm out of commission for a few months due to foot surgery.
Get well 🙏
I had a contract violation recently. I have the address in the photo I disputed it with door Dash and believe it or not, they removed it! First time I’ve ever happen, where they remove the violation for me.
Hello, thanks for sharing this information. My question is, when you get a contract violation do you still get the tip? Are you still able to get future orders?
How do you fight this kind of crap? Another problem people like to use fake addresses.
