In Steven Universe the future he basically became Spinal. Everyone moved on and no longer needs his help now he needs to deal with his own issues on his own. Pearl finally knows Rose his gone, Garent is married and A (I don’t know how to spell her name) she knows the others care for her. Also his friend is making more friends. Steven knows he is alone.
From an anime perspective this is a good ending. But a happy kids show they used to be so dumb it was genius this was a terrible ending all together. Yikes no wonder it got the boot this is deep man I don't want my 8-year-olds crying because they felt bad for spinel or was traumatized because Steven became a monster. As much as I hate the cartoons on cartoon Network now it's much more suitable for children...Then Uncle Grandpa, generation Rex, symbiotic Titan and Steven universe oof my personal favorites When just turning 16.
