It is. According to many of the creators Cover works with, such as Polka's and Luna's illustrators, this is extremely common and Cover is actually better than most about it. But it's still not a great state of affairs and Cover making sure to avoid a repeat before the law even comes into effect is a good thing.
@velveteensallet949 feels to me that it's not really a punishment and more like "new rule will take effect so be like Cover and pay your subcontractors early and fairly" they needed a big company to be the example and standard moving forward. Why not niji, you may ask. I'd gather JTC would have found more violations and no guarantee yet niji would reaolve it on time so even if they we're technically the bigger company, in reality Cover is the face of the whole vtubing industry so might as well work with them.
And its a good thing. This ensure other Vtuber agency to be more vigilant and mindful to pay up their artists. Hit the biggest guy in the industry and smaller ones will more or less follow up what Cover did and be mindful of future artist commission and payment.

Graduation queue is merely just one of them, the clique stuff is still behind the scenes unknown information yet, until further information, let's not start something yet. We might end up messing those wanting to leave.
remember that leaked termination/graduation thing we saw? we dont know if that was the final form offered to livers, and whether the ex-livers have signed them, or whether they're in a position to legally dispute it, or whether they typoed their name and never fixed it so the liver isnt legally bound by it. they might have to wait for the graduation queue whether they want to or not, and until the queue is empty we cant tell who might be part of a clique. they seem to be jumping ship as fast as they can already, have patience and dont cause trouble
Aw, I liked Eien! Though with Kilia leaving it's not entirely shocking, they had a number of talents I enjoy and follow. Wish the best to them whether they use new or old IDs
So i saw a clip about Vivi saying "don't be to mean to Claude" and when i see the comments section, Holy is Unhinged..... Saying Mika is wrong etc...... (About the play button)
You can find Nijisisters here on this video, coping to the point of lunacy. "Unhinged" is really an understatement. It's at the same point as religion or politics to them. We're living in reality, and they're living in Meet the Pyro.
Its a shame that so many smaller corpos are shutting down but it is something to be expected given the major saturation of vtubers on the internet and the burst of the bubble that was built from covid endlessly expanding. Here is hoping Idol gets to keep going well and doesn't end up another victim of Sony in the long run.
The whole graduation queue reopens the whole leverage issue from Doki situation of if the company has enough leverage to prevent talents from leaving then they also have enough leverage to make talents do and say whatever the company wants. Thus the question of who said what willingly and who if any was forced to defend the company despite not wanting to
Ahh its kind of sad that anyone that leave high probability wont collab with their ex agency friend that still in the company anymore other than the friend use her personal acc but its still rare
In order for Vivi to have a graduation stream on Nov 8, two things must both be true: she needs to want to have a graduation stream, and EN management needs to allow her to have a graduation stream. The odds of both of these things being true is extremely high, but not 100%. Also I hope she turns off supas for her final stream, as one last "fuck you" to the company on her way out the door. 50% of zero is zero.

I think it was implied by Matara and Michi that Niji managers ghosted their talents when it came to requesting granduation, so that they would miss the contract window and have to keep on working for them.
Ghosted or just pure incompetence as Michi also never got a proper NDA, just like kurosanji messed up NDA's with artists
I mean Minto said she had wanted to graduate back in May of 2023 but wasn't allowed to rill January 2024. She was likely getting ghosted and slow walked for that happening.

Common Japanese occurrence. unfortunately. There are agencies people pay to help them detangle themselves from the jobs they don't like (agencies like Exit and Albatross).
I am so glad Vivi got out of there. She doesn't deserve the soulcrushing that company gave her and if she comes back to streaming I'll catch her streams but can understand her reticence on doing streaming like Mint was questioning after she left.

Why is there a queue anyways? If they want to graduate just let them. If it's to keep appearances because it'd look bad if 10 livers graduated at once... well it's kinda too late for that, their rep is already in the dumps so may as well get over with it as fast as possible instead of drag it out.
Yea it's a rep thing. Sure their rep is int the toilet but all leaving at once draws a lot more attention to it, and it also discourages people from quitting knowing it'll be a drawn out hassle.
It's probably to prevent themselves from looking bad to investors, not the general public.
^this. Almost every shareholders meeting seems to have an investor asking the question concerning graduations and why there's so many of them, and Riku's blatantly fabricated response is usually along the lines of "we're sorry that our talents decide to leave after we realized their potential, but it's their choice. We still have plenty of active talents and more coming in." He can't spin that bullsh*t if an entire branch walks out at once, it's irrefutable evidence that the company is failing. Even the most gullible investors will see the writing on the wall.
It might be related to severance pay as well.
theyd need to explain those in their financial report to their investors😂

@Kinzoku_jp Nope. She found out around when the current members were told, somewhere in the first couple of weeks of October, a month after her graduation.

The Cover Corporation situation feels like being made an example of less than them being the only ones

His Gen only showed up a year ago, and both of his gen-mates have left with less than positive goodbyes. TTT is now just T.
Also, as a Kunai fan, god does it sting seeing her model being no longer used. Her model was cool.
I hope Vivi is able to move past this, and I hope Mint and Doki give her some encouraging words.
From my perspective he never cared much about his wave mates. He did more collabs with other people than with TTT, not to mention he knew 'the clique' from before Niji times, so....
claude is probaly hoping to be the only EN liver left so he can have riku all to himself.
I think he's doing fine sucking up to the powers that be... He didn't seem too attached to his gen mates.
But vivi seems to care about him since she try to protect her saying not to bully claude and not talk bad about him live on her stream

see my original comment. twitch 'says' that the attire rule is for everyone but in implementation or enforcement, they do not crack down on irl streamers. said creators are using a kiddie pool in the far background of their stream to allow it under the pools category but anyone with a sane mind can tell that this could be categorised as violation evading.

Man if she did that it would be hilarious and a big W for her, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's not allowed though she could Forget that part lol.

I didn't know amelia was going indie I don't really keep that much tabs on stuff but word I heard at the time was her looking to take a behind the scenes role in the EN branch still working for hololive.
