The bakelite cake cutter is actually for angel food cake. Instead of using a knife to saw back and forth on a slice you poke holes repeatedly where you want to cut the slice. Angel food cake will crumble or flatten if cut with a sawing motion. Nice find!
Partly correct, you have to cut angel food cake WITH a sawing motion with a cake knife with a scalloped or serrated edge. If you try to slice angel food or chiffon cake with a regular knife without sawing then it will flatten. I'm lucky enough to still have my Mom's scalloped cake knife she got in 1935 by sending in box tops. It's never been sharpened and cuts all types of cakes beautifully including the banana chiffon cakes I make for every birthday .
You know so much about whats worth buying to resell, maybe u could also find a book also that guides u what glassware is valuable. But u really know alot and im learning from you even though im not a reseller. Good job on your finds 🌸🌺🌺

Why didn't you take those two silvered tumblers? I took a screenshot and searched, and those exact ones aren't even coming up, which could mean they are worth something to somebody 🤔. Also question on the dishes you got in the beginning - you said they're PY? I was curious why you grabbed them? Is it a popular pattern?
