I saw Grand Seiko in person for the first time a few weeks ago. A local jewelry store is now an AD. I have to say, I was blown away. Pictures and video don't do them justice. I was scared to hold it just there in the store. The finishing is definitely all it's hyped up to be. I'm in the Grand Seiko fan club now and I can't wait to add one to my collection.
I had the opposite reaction. The designs are sterile, nothing pops, and they feel light. Overall, i prefer offerings from omega, breitling and tag heuer
@ the titanium one was very light. I admit I did not like that one and don’t think I would like any titanium watch. I prefer the heft of feeling the watch on my wrist.
I have a larger wrist size at over 7 1/2 inches. Even so, the 37 case size of this Grand Seiko will be too small for many others with smaller wrists than me. I also think Grand Seiko needs to make some improvements with their bracelets. Aside from that, the dial on this watch (like so many others from Grand Seiko) is great!
We were told years ago by GS UK that the micro adjust issue was going to be sorted! All they do is make more silly dials though. I would have bought at least one more GS but the brand is dead to me now and am sure a lot of guys will focus on Rolex availability now that it has improved.
Need some validation Bruce! Really close to pulling the trigger on The Citizen (AQ6021-51E) the most accurate watch ever made with the 0100 movement, in titanium on the bracelet... I've got too many Rolex, have Panerai, GS, wanted something light and different... Pretty rare, and one of the coolest quartz you can get IMO And dont give me that buy what you like BS, you love it or hate it, be honest, I kinda think it's amazing and super minimalist
I've only seen one 'The Citizen' in person before, but it was one of their automatic offerings. I think HAQ is the way to go. The biggest draw to me is the incredible accuracy. The LJP or Miyota mechanical movement architecture just doesn't feel satisfying at the price. As far as getting an uncommon watch that is exciting and breaks the usual suspect brand mold, it's going to be super satisfying. I say go for it and tell me what you think after wearing it a little while. I've heard some collectors like them better than their GS experiences
At this point, I think GS (or the buyer) is suffering from the paradox of choice. Don’t get me wrong, I think most of them look great, but I think GS has to slow down with coming out with new variants, people just can’t keep up.

Make sure you try on the horrid bracelet.

It’s beautiful but it should be 2mm thinner. 13mm on a 37 case it’s too much.
Agree, that's totally out of proportion
Love the brand, need to improve their bracelets for me to buy one
So true, it’s ridiculously poor for such a fine watch.
I gave upon the brand because of the bracelets, and I actually know how to size them properly!
Very nice, but it should be max 11mm thick.
It's wonderful to see a Grand Seiko from someone who also owns a Seiko LX titanium spring drive. Thank you for the Grand Seiko video.
Absolutely love GS... So much watch for the money... Dials pop in real life, too!
I love that it isn't a limited edition
I like how the vertical striping is irregular. Great video
I remember when you had the sbgr053! It’s still on my list 👌
Start putting these dials into the SBGX lineup and GS will be onto a winner. 9f quartz with thin profile

Nice video, thanks for the shots. You're right, though, it's too thick. And no micro adjust whatsoever on a $7k watch is outrageous.
I’d rarely prefer a hand wind but this should be hand wind, 13mm on a 37mm dress watch is silly looking for that kind of coin

We keep hearing the new GS clasps w/micro-adjust are just around corner. Geezus GS, when will that be???
37mm is the perfect size.
Wow! Never been first before

im struggling to see the difference but theyre pretty nontheless
They just need to change the dam clasp
Can er get a new sotc video soon?
Waiting on inbound watches
Too expensive for what you get.
Nice but too thick for my taste
