Dhyaan is not concentration. Meditation is *self realization* means swayam ka aehsas (aatmik anubhav).
Close your eyes *Practice observing your thoughts, slowly slowly thoughts would disappear now you are observing thoughtless mind experiencing deep silence. Now open your eyes. You would feel very light & relaxed. Observer🧐 is your self. This is Dhyaan / Meditation i. e. Self realization. Àatmik sthity.*

Dhyaan concentration nehi hai. Concentration chis pe kiya jata hai jor se. Dhyaan vichar o ka aant hai. Vichar hi nehi to tum bhi nehi. Thinking, thinker se alag nehi. Mai bhab tabhi ata hai jab vichar ata hai. Vichar nehi to mai bhi nehi.
Kaya deep sleep mai concentration ka jarurat hota hai??
If you experience a thought less state, there is an experience. The way you describe dhyaan is good exercise but not help you

(1) Meditation means to be aware of observer - observed phenomenon.
(2) Meditation means to be
aware of self presence.
(3) Meditation means to be
aware of self consciousness.
(4) Meditation means to be aware of anger as observer - observed
phenomenon.
(5) Meditation means
to be aware of one's
own presence in every
happening moment to
moment.
(6) Meditation means to be
aware of I-am ness moment
to moment.
(7) Meditation means to be aware of body activities in present moment as
observer - observed
phenomenon.
(8) Meditation means to be
aware of all thought
activities as observer - observed phenomenon moment to moment.

sensations/emotion

division that results in to self forgetfulness due to ignorant belief that observer is different than observed.
(29) When we forget observer - observed phenomenon, we slip in to illusion of illusory individuality as real self.

who am I?
This is real meditation and Real vipassyana .
