    You need to rename this video. You did not show HOW to do any of this. You did nothing more than show WHAT can be done.

      Was just about to say the same thing. Have any better videos you can point me to?

    This video didn't explain how to map. It only stated that it COULD.

    but, if I put it on the 2nd floor, won't it try to return to the base on the 1st floor? when does it stop vacuuming the second floor?

    I have the i5 combo. I already mapped the upstairs. Now I want to include the downstairs. Should I have had Roomba clean both upstairs and downstairs before saving the map? I'm thinking this model only has capacity to have one map. Thanks!

      @ErinLawrenceTV  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Each level will be its own map. So you can go ahead and place it on the other level and have it do an other clean and it will generate the map.

      @ErinLawrenceTV It won't let me save the new downstairs unless I delete the upstairs map. I have the i5. It appears that I can only have one map saved at a time.

    Because of you I now feel that the j7+ is worth it. Not even the reps at customer service nor the manuals mentioned this

    is there a way to send the robot back home with the one button on top?
    if so, could you maybe tell me how?

    • @ErinLawrenceTV
      @ErinLawrenceTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean with the button on top of the vacuum bot itself? If it has a button on it shaped like a house, then, yes.

    If don't move the base, it can't empty, mid job. Am I missing something?

    Alex sounds more like a first name than Brooke. Also brook without the e is not necessarily a name, so I think people are just gravitating towards Alex

    But the roomba will try to return to base ( on diff floor ) and just sit theres blinking

    So here's how to add an extra Roomba. Go to your app. There are three horizontal lines on the top left. Press on that. Go to 'Add product' and follow the prompts. Dont know why she couldn't have shown that. 😕

    How does it know which floor it's on?

  • @bhavyabansal1143

    What happens if I move the base along with the robot? Any harm in that? I think it will still create the map right?
    Asking because if we don’t move the base, then if the roomba is out of charge then we will have to move it downstairs again as the base has not been moved. Any thoughts?

    • @ErinLawrenceTV
      @ErinLawrenceTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you move the base, the bot no longer knows how to orient itself and will become lost. It is possible to get an extra base and add it to the system on a different floor.

      @@ErinLawrenceTV I will have to disagree here. Actually I took the risk and did it. Took my base station with robot upstairs and started new cycle. Robot created new map and now I have maps for both downstairs and upstairs. I think iRobot states not to take it and then advice to buy another base and thats obvious because they want to make money. But it worked for us so far so just wanted to clarify.

      @@bhavyabansal1143 I did the same thing and it worked initially, but each time you move the base station it's difficult to put it back exactly where it was so I had to eventually remap the floors since it started cleaning at a different angle and missing things.
