Taching it in the beginning real quick on my fourth flight with the new SAB Goblin 700! Working great so far! About 2000 rpm w/ 4525-520LE motor and the Scorpion 130A OPTO ESC.

It definitely does and if it's done well even better though on the phoenix sim it was under powered so I had to do some tweeking. Mine has soooo much power to spare with stability but I also made no compromise on my setup. I shall soon do a vid on it. Happy flying

That makes more sense. I WAS running the Xera 4530-500 and CC 160A, governed at 2000. When properly setup, it'll hold the 2000 under load no problem, but will naturally fluctuate with pitch changes.

Depending on your simulator (I have Phoenix RC) the Goblin needed tweaking on phoenix, not because it was too good, but in fact I needed to add more power and tweak it to get a faster/smoother result such as real life. I'll be honest here, this heli flies way better than the simulator! Most heli's do however, but if you get a chance to fly one out, go for it, you'll be hooked!

I should change the title, but I tach my helicopters a little bit different. Under max load (where I normally fly) the rpm is ~2000, however under no load (ie: hovering in one place) the rpm can reach about ~2150. I run +- 12.5deg pitch. Depending on your setup your machine may differ in power, if you gather all combinations of electronics (more importantly motor and esc/gov) put them in a controlled RPM of your choice. The speed, sound etc. will of course be different. What is your ESC/Motor?

It's more of a preference stand of point (Too each there own) Myself, I enjoy high powered electrics since you can do very hard 3D or fast flying, while turbines are a little too expensive and they're strictly for scale flying. Don't take this the wrong way though, turbines are cool, but I'm in the hobby for 3D! :)

This looks and sounds like 2100 but I won't argue it. I fly mine at 2000 with +/- 14 and it definitely doesn't move or sound like that. What pitch are you running?
In this video it was just the stock setup from the first batch, I believe they have new rear tail casing pulleys to increase the RPM because mine also had blow outs, in this video I had one slight blowout so I quickly adjusted. It's a good idea to add around 8 degrees of counter torque in the pitch slider as well.

Depending on the person, most will find flying a plane much easier than a helicopter. I personally think landing an airplane for your first time is harder than landing a helicopter for the first time, since you can use training gear, but flying wise heli's are harder. Not sure what you mean by helis are not built for 3D? The technology/Engineering behind helicopters are much more advanced VS the RC plane world. This is strictly talking through RC and not real life as it's =/= each other.
