Ars poetica is poem written by Horace 209 bc in which he advises poets on art of writing poetry and drama . Ars poetica has exercised great influence in later age on European literature, notable on French drama , has inspired poets and authors since it’s was written. It’s though has been well known since middle age , it’s has been used in literary criticism since renaissance. Thank you for your wonderful educational literary channel.
Interesting question, Hassan. We would say the two terms mean pretty much the same thing. Tone is generally understood as the author's (or given character's) attitude towards a subject. So "tone" is a kind of attitude. Hope that helps!
