    The reason I hate playing with buttons is I feel like the second you change anything everything you already checked was a waste of time if you had to change something, should be able to get it pretty much rugh the first time

    • @TheTexanDetector
      @TheTexanDetector  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree! Spend more time digging and less time playing with buttons. I like to run things as wide open as I can comfortably and just go with it. In my opinion the more buttons you press and filters you play with the more you might miss.

    I am turn on and go Detectorist. I might noise cancel on the Nox I might adjust the Sensitivity. I will Adjust the Volume of the speaker depending on if people are around and or it is noise like on the Beach. I also like having the extra bells and whistles just incase I feel like doing some playing around with the settings. Factory reset is a great thing they put in the detectors. I like that saying K.I.S.S Been using it a lot over the yrs ..lol Thanks Brother for another Great video Adventure and Info.. Happy Hunting .. And Gold Luck.. Peace

      Sorry about that. This video wasn't really meant to be an instructional video. I just got tire of people asking me what settings I used. These people were already pretty familiar with the legend so i was just trying to help them out. I do plan on doing another in depth video on settings soon. I was just waiting for this last update in case anything changed. I'll try and get that video out soon.

  • @jons7834

    thank you. for the most part i don't care what settings others are using, but i did wonder what settings you were using to get so close to the tot lot equipment without interferance.
    did going to the smaller lg24 also help with that?

    • @TheTexanDetector
      @TheTexanDetector  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The LG24 is great at getting close to the equipment on the tot lot, but it can be done with the LG28 or the LG30. When you bump up your recovery speed you can definitely get a lot closer. Now the LG24 is great because you can really get it in tighter places, but there are times I've been using one of the larger coils dirt detecting in the park and decided to hit a tot lot real quick and it still worked well. Recovery speed at 8 and sensitivity at 15 and you'll do fine. Bump it up to 10 and you can get even closer. If you do bump it up to 10 you better listen close because those small targets are going to be a quick beep lol.

  • @digginggopher
    @digginggopher ปีที่แล้ว

    I keep my recovery speed at 6 but I have trouble discerning size

    • @TheTexanDetector
      @TheTexanDetector  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try bumping it up a little. I used to keep mine at 4 cause I was afraid of losing depth. Then I saw paystreak running 8 and 10 at the tot lots and I started doing that too. After a little while of a higher recovery speed you start to pick up on the size difference. 6 is as low as I can go and still hear the difference, but it wasn't till I ran 8 for a while that it really sank in.

    Does the coil affect these settings? or they work on any coil

    • @TheTexanDetector
      @TheTexanDetector  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's a very good question. For the most part no. The only real exception is the larger the coil the more emi they pick up. So if in an area with emi a smaller coil may not be affected much where a large coil adjustments may have to be made for it to run smooth.

    Hello! I’m just new with the Legend, saw your video and may I make a suggestion? Make a bracket or some kind of camera support so that your video’s are more steady and professional, use your camera closer to your object because you use 1/6th of the video screen; you can reduce this to at least 1/3rd, newbies like my self can then see beter what you are doing.., took your setting over to try-out… Best regards from Rotterdam!

    • @TheTexanDetector

      Thanks it probably would have been a good idea to crop in on the detector as I programmed the settings. I'll keep that in mind in the future. I am about to switch to a new camera for some parts of my video to get my live style detecting shots as well. Good luck with your legend if you learn it, it will treat you very well. The gegend is actually pretty easy to set up for the beach. I mostly use MW, recovery speed 6, discrimination pattern g, DT on 1, IF on 4-6 depending on how hot the beach is, BC 0, and sensitivity at 25. 60 tones and rock with it.

    A good tip in pitch tones is to keep your audio gain at 1, a higher audio gain will confuse pitch tones deep stuff will sound shallow

    What you said about leaving tone brakes and pitch makes sense I haven't heard anything like that before it's good to have but it can throw hunting off if left on and very little noise did you think of trying Park 2 or multi 2 with these settings ?

    • @jefferybernard4800
      @jefferybernard4800 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      How about a program for deep coins 12 inches to 15 inches or more

    • @TheTexanDetector
      @TheTexanDetector  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I use these settings across the board with pretty good success whether its M1, M2, M3. Also my beach program is very similar. Now as far as a deep program basically switch to field mode, lower your recovery speed, and turn up your audio gain. Adjust your filters as low as you can and still be stable and that will pretty much be your best depth program. At least until beast mode comes out.

    • @TheTexanDetector
      @TheTexanDetector  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you use g discrimination patter and 60 tone in my opinion tone breaks are a complete waste of time. Now that being said very small gold can ring up in the iron range 3-11 VDI. That's why you'll see me dig many bobby pins in my videos. I do have an email its on my channel in the about page.

    • @TheTexanDetector
      @TheTexanDetector  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well Pitch does give you more information about your target and can be helpful. Personally I just don't care for it, but a lot of people love it. I personally think 60 tone is the sweet spot. 6 tones is nice, but 60 gives you more information. I think in the end what's most important is what is more comfortable to you.

    Its good to keep tones the same sound in park and field, so same objects make same noises in either program

    • @TheTexanDetector
      @TheTexanDetector  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah but when you don't notch anything no need to change to tone break lol. I understand people will do different things. This is my starting point you never know when the field will require a tweak here and there.
