I'd like to see your reaction to Aretha Franklin stepping in for a sick Pavarotti and singing Nessun Dorma. Supposedly, she even sang it in his key. Your reaction would be very interesting.
I’ve loved ELO since they first achieved fame in the 1970s. Leader Jeff Lynne, is a very talented singer/songwriter. And the repetition in this song doesn’t bother me because the sound and the beat are so good. Great reaction, Maggie.
Jeff Lynne was, unbeknownst to them, my kids hero on long road trips. I would pop in ELO greatest hits, followed by the Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 and after a few hours they were joyfully singing every word.
Been a fan of ELO since I heard them do Roll Over Beethoven in 1973 or 1974 when I was 10. As I got older I figured out it was the depth and layering of their songs. Their music is in its own class of progressive rock.
ELO is one of the favorite bands from my youth. Please consider reacting to their song All Over the World. Another great ELO song is I'm Alive. That was in the movie Xanadu.
There are 2 bands from this era that are criminally underappreciated: ELO and Chicago. They both put out music that after listening to it, you just feel uplifted and happy. I just about wore the grooves out of "Out of the blue" on repeat on my turntable in the early 80s.
Poker Rockaria!* Tightrope Evil Woman* Fire On High Eldorado Boy Blue Twilight All Over the World* Strange Magic* So Fine and Do Ya* *--in the set list, Over and Out tour
Good Lord, she should *_not_* react to anything from this summer's Over and Out tour, Jeff is a shell of himself from 7 years ago at this Wembley show. smh
@@Cosmo-Kramer Well, I caught the band a few weeks ago. His voice isn't what it used to be, and he relies heavily on others. Nowhere near the energy of Jagger, who I also saw recently. But still good. The graphics and musicians were tremendous. He is packing it in, at least on the road.
You have to remember that this is actually Jeff Lynne with a swathe of session musicians, the original ELO is long gone with most members either retired or passed away. I suggest you have a look at footage from the time (1976) of the original releases of tracks from Out of the Blue. The Out of the Blue - Live at Wembley (1978) also gives a true representation of how incredibly good the original band really were..
Concerto for a Rainy Day from their Out of the Blue double album - an ambitious four song suite culminating in Mr. Blue Sky. Referred to as the happiest pop song ever written. It will have you bouncing in your seat. 😂
You might like hearing Jeff Lynne's solo version of this song from 2012. He re-recorded many of ELO's hits. The album is called Mr. Blue Sky. Jeff plays bass, drums, keyboards, lead and rhythm guitars as well as singing lead and background vocals. The strings follow his original arrangements. Nothing seems amiss.
Maggie, I think you would really enjoy reacting to another great ELO song titled Shangri La. Has one of the greatest outros you will ever hear. You will really appreciate it being an opera singer.
This is favorite ELO song, and that's saying a lot. Maybe it's the more use of strings that makes me love it so much more than the other songs of theirs.
Two songs you will really like by ELO: "Rockaria!" and 'The Diary of Horace Wimp'. The second one is not only great musucslly, but it has a touching story to it.
Hey Maggie, you should listen to ELO's biggest hit Don't Bring Me Down(original music video)!! You're gonna be bobbing your head up and down the whole way through sweetie!! LMAO
Jeff Lynne left the Move to form his own outfit, and got red-hot in the later Seventies. ELO wasn't art rock, a la Yes, King Crimson, or Emerson, Lake & Palmer; group was far more pop-oriented. Lynne got George Harrison's career going again, and, along with him, was part of the Traveling Wilburys. He is retiring from touring with the band, but certainly not giving up music.
Maggie ..when you were reacting to Don't Bring Me Down, you kept going to the lyric"What happened to the girl I used to know?"repeatedly! Could you please not do that in future reactions? Thank you.Much appreciated!
It's too bad that he gets away with calling this ELO when the only member of the original band onstage is Jeff Lynne. It's gross how he treated the original band. Now Kelly is dead and Richard is dead. I have boycotted this sham of a tour and will always remember their 1981 tour with opening act Hall & Oates

Electric Light Orchestra "Tightrope",, An absolute MUST HEAR Classic. ❤

I don't think Jeff Lynne gets the credit he deserves

I enjoyed their vocals and also the string section, and surely I favor listening to more songs played by them. Nice reaction from you too. So long.
ELO is one of the favorite bands from my youth. Please consider reacting to their song All Over the World. Another great ELO song is I'm Alive. That was in the movie Xanadu.
I remember seeing them in concert on October 26th, 1981. Heck of a good show, and it didn't hurt that Hall and Oates were the opening act.
A Super Group!! Hands down a true Rock Band. Pioneers 👊🏻💪🏼🎸🥁!!!
ELO are a UK treasure and one of my favourite bands ever.
Great song and reaction
First time I'm finding you and I have to say how much I love your natural speaking voice! So beautiful and soothing
I was so fortunate to see them live at the Tacoma dome in 2019, it was incredible, they are phenomenal live!
there so good! i never get tired of them!
Saw them 3 nights ago in St. Paul. Incredible!
Maggie, given your musical background can I respectfully request that you react to ELO's Rockaria.
Yes, and is that aria from an opera or written for the song?
The song came out in early 70s and this concert was in 2017 . Also ELO are on their final tour . Still filling the large venues .
Great song, terrific reaction Maggie!
GREAT REACTION LOVED IT VERY COOL😎
I’m seeing them tonight!

Very underrated and underappreciated band here in the US. Great song.
Also in the set list of the Over and Out tour, which I caught recently. Band still sounds good.
I like them. A lot of good songs. Great reaction 👏👏👏

Maggie has finally confirmed what we suspected all along, she's not normal.
When ELO IS playing everything shines even in stormy weather
That crowd is rockin!!!!
ELO rocks! Loved this video. And loved your reaction!
Maggie TurnS Me Stone Cold in LovE ❤❤❤
Great song from a great band

Jeff Lynne Comes From Birmingham. England, The City I Was Born In!
Midlands produced some big hitters Black Sabbath and Led Z Robert Plant .
Also known as Birminghamistan.
You must do Mr. Blue Sky and Tightrope!!!! Probably their best examples of what they became!

My understanding is that Jeff Lynns ELO is the group after the band broke up. If its just ELO its the original lineup.
Grew up with this kind of music.

You can't listen to an ELO track & not feel happier afterward. 😎

Strange Magic, Rockaria, Evil Woman , All over the World Would be the 4 that I recommend You react too.
I recommended before and will again.. ELO's "All over the World" either from the Xanadu soundtrack or the video of him performing it live in concert.
He's also 80 odd Years old at this stage of life.
I was there
Hey Maggie, you should listen to ELO's biggest hit Don't Bring Me Down(original music video)!! You're gonna be bobbing your head up and down the whole way through sweetie!! LMAO
Again? She just did it some days ago.
Luciano Pavarotti, James Brown - It's A Man's Man's Man's World ... REACTION...
Out of the Blue (1977)
👍❤️❤️
You should hear this when it’s not interupted every 20 seconds!
If you love opera and rock ......You need to react to "Rockaria" by ELO(if you haven't reacted to this song already).
A shout out for REO SPEEDWAGON please!
Can't be bad if it has 100k people dancing.
Good point.
👏👏👏👌🫶🫵
Where do u think Freddy got it form
ELO was a leader in what they did.
You should try the studio version. Much cleaner
Maggie look at the doobie brothers live.. long train running
Got excited until I saw "LIVE".

Hi there maggie pls react to these videos
BROADWAY MEDLEY - Regine Velasquez and Martin Nievera
HE KNOWS - Almira Lat (Wedding Song)
I thought you would do Rockaria first....or is that too obvious?
Maggie ..when you were reacting to Don't Bring Me Down, you kept going to the lyric"What happened to the girl I used to know?"repeatedly! Could you please not do that in future reactions? Thank you.Much appreciated!
How come you seem to miss the lyrics of wat hes singing about the emotion they put behind the song its not just about the arrangements so robotic
To much vamping can be annoying in pop music.
More ELO👌🤘🤘👈🇦🇺
