As a 40k player you're really tempting me... especially because the whole reason I chose Tau was to recreate the sleek Clone Trooper look in my army. Great models, great camerawork, great gameplay. Fabulous! Really brings back the childhood memories.
Highly recommend as someone who plays both. Rules cleaner and faster than 40k and you don’t need four large books to constantly flip through, and don’t need to constantly consider 30 different strategems. Alternating activations is also very cool and more tactical than 40k

Clone Wars did not appear anywhere near my childhood - and yet its genius was too undeniable to ignore - these battle reports are giving me serious flashbacks - to rediscovering Star Wars in middle-age... 😃
I ship out for basic training in a month and I’ll be honest one of my biggest fears was that I would leave before part 3 came out and I’d have to wait months before I could even check if it came out. Thank god it’s here

As I commented on the first video, this is the first time i see Star Wars Legion Battle reports, and wow it is high quality here I love everything ! From the minis to the editing to the scenarios (very interesting variations !), including the way you play which allowed me to understand a lot of rules for a game I haven't yet bought I think i'm falling in love with this game though, been playing warhammer age of sigmar for some years but wow, a (affordable) star wars wargame will get me instantly back to childhood ! Hyped to see how this campaign continues !

Whilst I am not a huge Star Wars fan, always preferred fantasy over sci-fi, I have really enjoyed this narrative series and the way you have presented it; not only showing the action but explaining the thought process throughout so there is more understanding for non Legion players like myself. I wish there was a big interest in this game locally to me as I would probably jump in and start playing.
Had such great fun watching this one as always, all through the lockdown here in the UK without being able to game your vids def been helping me live vicariously through you guys, loving the legion stuff so much, hope you keep them coming!
Dude you have so mastered the art of a battle report intro, just love it :) And the sound effects during the game just bring it to life. I generally find bat reps a bit boring sadly but I could watch these all day :)

The fact that the entirety of the Republic gets those obnoxious red dice for immense durability while the droids have to suffer with white dice or a few reds. Really makes it an uphill battle for separatist players

Now here's a question for the man himself: as a fan of both the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game and Star Wars: Legion, why hasn't anyone tried to come up with "Battle Companies" rules for Star Wars, yet? Narrative Campaigns would be astounding, with a good spoonful of Progression for those nameless Clones, I daresay!
I reckon it's possible, but as someone who has never actually played LOTR myself, I admit I'm struggling a bit with how such a progression system would work. I'm trying though. 🙂
It would almost certainly be too grand an endeavor for any one person to undertake alone, knowing the complexities of the Battle Companies system; I'm just shocked nobody seems to have considered this before!

Good touch! *spoilers ahead* As a sep supporter, I will admit I was a bit disappointed obiwan survived by the nick of his skin but Ey, he’ll probably be in a wheel chair next one, can’t wait for the next one. I got an idea for a future Star Wars legion video, since you guys like doing custom campaigns I think it would be neat if you guys did a heroes vs villains themed battle where the big names of each side (light and dark) from each era come together to combat their rivals, I think that would be a great idea.
Bosskin you're a bloody mind reader haha, I've actually just written an entire overlay ruleset to amplify saber duels and create boss fight scenarios! But shhhhhhhhhhhhh secret stuff for now :) :)
They made a point of mentioning that Jacko did an aim on the first stap unit before shooting obi wan then proceeded to completely ignore it when it could've changed the outcome. That's gotta keep you up at night 😬😬😂😂

The AAT looks amazing especially with the tactical droid commanding it,I'd love it if you did a painting guide for the AAT that included the C.I.S paint scheme for the AAT
I dont want to be that guy, but comando droids werent a thing yet in the battle of geonosis. they came a few months into the clone wars and even than there were only a few which were used for assasinations and personal security, not for vield battles
We thought the added troop variety would be enjoyable for players using the campaign and getting to field more of their models. A stealthy ambush suited us just fine for their character. Plus who knows? Maybe these are the prototypes the Republic never knew about! :)
@@i_am_stil_nameless. We don't mind bending the canon a little to make the games for fun for the viewers and importantly those playing through our scenarios themselves :) And it's not thaaat crazy :) They're such cool units!!

I do not actually believe canon actually says when they are first used. remember 'new' is relative (and also they were old enough for simple captains to have heard about them, anything new that a captain knows about that isn't specific to their current mission isn't new), the T-14 tank is new by tank standards despite being revealed years ago now. the episode of the citadel test (CLONE CADETS) shows commando droids being used en-masse by kaminoans, they must have been used alot by that point for the republic to have that many (possibly even before the war). and that episode takes place months before their first appearance in the series, which itself is only a few months after Geonosis. it is thus entirely possible for them to have been on geonosis.

As a sep supporter, I will admit I was a bit disappointed obiwan survived by the nick of his skin but Ey, he’ll probably be in a wheel chair next one, can’t wait for the next one.
I got an idea for a future Star Wars legion video, since you guys like doing custom campaigns I think it would be neat if you guys did a heroes vs villains themed battle where the big names of each side (light and dark) from each era come together to combat their rivals, I think that would be a great idea.
Bosskin you're a bloody mind reader haha, I've actually just written an entire overlay ruleset to amplify saber duels and create boss fight scenarios! But shhhhhhhhhhhhh secret stuff for now :) :)

I dont want to be that guy, but comando droids werent a thing yet in the battle of geonosis. they came a few months into the clone wars and even than there were only a few which were used for assasinations and personal security, not for vield battles
We thought the added troop variety would be enjoyable for players using the campaign and getting to field more of their models. A stealthy ambush suited us just fine for their character. Plus who knows? Maybe these are the prototypes the Republic never knew about! :)
@@Zorpazorp this is kinda not 100% canon accuracy but dont get me wrong, I absolutely love it that they appear and they make for a lot of fun.

I do not actually believe canon actually says when they are first used. remember 'new' is relative (and also they were old enough for simple captains to have heard about them, anything new that a captain knows about that isn't specific to their current mission isn't new), the T-14 tank is new by tank standards despite being revealed years ago now.
the episode of the citadel test (CLONE CADETS) shows commando droids being used en-masse by kaminoans, they must have been used alot by that point for the republic to have that many (possibly even before the war). and that episode takes place months before their first appearance in the series, which itself is only a few months after Geonosis. it is thus entirely possible for them to have been on geonosis.
