My parents were true Christians, however my mom would dress me up at 5/6 and try to get me to go trick or treating and I told her no, started crying and stayed inside. I still remember this vividly. Down through the years all my friends thought I was weird because I didn't want to participate, but I know now that I had discernment even as a child and I thank God for it! We even had the adults Dress up and decorate their vehicles based on a Bible story….BUT ohhh BUT Our 12 YEAR OLD JUST TOLD US LAST WEEK “MOM I DONT WANT US TO TRUTH N TREAT WE SHOULD JUST HAVE CHURCH! I thought it was harmless because the children was in a safe environment. 4 years ago I began to question it to myself never talked to anyone at my church about it. I chose to stop participating and throw away ALL halloween decorations ,stopped giving candy to the children in my neighborhood. Thank you for this overdue message. We have to look different than the world NO COMPROMISE!!!! It’s warfare time. Children are the future. I've been trying to tell my children not to celebrate Halloween but my husband thinks its okay and he doesn't want my children to be left out. I told him I don't want them dressing up at the school because that's where it starts. He thinks its okay because its at the school. I'm trying to explain but its so hard.

I was just talking to my husband about this. I heard another man of God on TH-cam saying that he lets his children participate in Halloween and dressing up but instead of wearing scary they would wear nice things like a polar bear or a lady bug and minister the word to people while collecting candy. I’m not sure if I still agreed with that… thank you for confirmation!! I never been a fan of Halloween. It always rubbed me the wrong way.
Thats like a satanist showing up to a nativity event, dressed appropriately for the occasion, at a church trying to make a statement. It would be far more likely that the members of the church would evangelize the person than the satanist getting anyone to turn from God at an event designed to honor him. What do you do when you have a step parent who proclaims they are a witch? I have been at odds with this my entire adult life. She believes she is on the right path and I pray and intercede for her. My father was killed and she is a widow now. A large part of me is telling me that his death was my time to cut ties, However I feel sorry for her knowing how lost she is. Do I continue to deal with her and pray for covering over myself or do I just cut ties completely. I have been at war with myself over this for a few years now and I do not want to be at war with TMH over this. The word teaches us to help to care for the orphan and the widow...but she actually was divorced from my dad when he died. So is she still considered a widow? I went through so much nonsense in the spirit realm growing up and I blame it on what Sue practiced..but now I am in my own marriage and we follow the word of God and only worship and honor him and I have been set free. I do not want to go back into spiritual captivity. I took my children out of all pagen/secular holidays a few years ago when the holy spirit woke me up to the truth.

Some churches do trunk or treat not for the saints but to reach ppl who normally would not go to a church on that night (Halloween) because they would be out trick or treating ….I agree with what Tiphani said about saints because Saints should know this is not a holiday to take part in and some saints need to be reminded/aware of why true Christian should not celebrate…. That being said I’m not totally opposed to churches having a trunk or treat to reach ppl who don’t know Jesus/ppl who need to come back to Christ because for some ppl the church may have a sermon with alter call before the candy is given out …therefore introducing ppl to Christ and getting back sliders back in the fold and after they accept And claim salvation from there this message definitely would need to Be shared with a the New believer so they can understand this Halloween thing is what you use to do but now that your are a born again child of God it is not wise to celebrate because it does not glorify or offer worship to God …. I tried to bring this up to the leaders at my church and the challenge said was were in the bible does it say coming up with an alternative is against God.
I know u said no substitute, but wouldn’t a great thing to happen in the future is the church comes together in fasting and prayer until the Holiday is changed to like “worship day” because the name has “hallow.” I’m saying like eventually if the holiday was changed. For example like people these days celebrate thanksgiving as a day to have dinner with your family as opposed to celebrating the pilgrim dinner.

The less your body controls you the more the SPIRIT in you takes control. Fasting is a command for any believer. Do not over eat at night. Take light meals healthy ones. You do not want to be DIGESTING FOOD as you sleep when God wants to communicate to you. Eat early and light and stay in the word and in prayer. Dreams / Visions are just one way God communicates and you need to be alert to remember. Though satan can send demonic dreams too.

He didn’t tell me to add all the other holidays in it to. Be careful lest you attempt to be the voice of GOD in a prophets life. This was a tough one for me cuz this was our favorite to celebrate and decorate! My friend told me before but i didn't believe her. It's not what we have always thought as kids. I didn't think all this witchcraft was real. One day HS convicted me to get rid of the decos. It still tics me off that they taint everything 😡. What should be what most think it is...fun for kids and adults to dress up they tainted.

What do you do when you have a step parent who proclaims they are a witch? I have been at odds with this my entire adult life. She believes she is on the right path and I pray and intercede for her. My father was killed and she is a widow now. A large part of me is telling me that his death was my time to cut ties, However I feel sorry for her knowing how lost she is. Do I continue to deal with her and pray for covering over myself or do I just cut ties completely. I have been at war with myself over this for a few years now and I do not want to be at war with TMH over this. The word teaches us to help to care for the orphan and the widow...but she actually was divorced from my dad when he died. So is she still considered a widow? I went through so much nonsense in the spirit realm growing up and I blame it on what Sue practiced..but now I am in my own marriage and we follow the word of God and only worship and honor him and I have been set free. I do not want to go back into spiritual captivity. I took my children out of all pagen/secular holidays a few years ago when the holy spirit woke me up to the truth.

Some churches do trunk or treat not for the saints but to reach ppl who normally would not go to a church on that night (Halloween) because they would be out trick or treating ….I agree with what Tiphani said about saints because Saints should know this is not a holiday to take part in and some saints need to be reminded/aware of why true Christian should not celebrate…. That being said I’m not totally opposed to churches having a trunk or treat to reach ppl who don’t know Jesus/ppl who need to come back to Christ because for some ppl the church may have a sermon with alter call before the candy is given out …therefore introducing ppl to Christ and getting back sliders back in the fold and after they accept

Be shared with a the New believer so they can understand this Halloween thing is what you use to do but now that your are a born again child of God it is not wise to celebrate because it does not glorify or offer worship to God …. So again I agree with the main point expressed in this video … just shedding light on the fact that some churches do it not because they are bad churches but because they believe this is a way to reach souls and once again share the Gospel … of course they (the church) could not have anything that night of Halloween and I see optimal value and wisdom in doing that ….and remember each person should pray and seek the lord because he knows you better than you know yourself and he will always tell you what you should participate in or not as far as if your church is having a trunk or treat and whether you should go or not … pray about it.

He didn’t tell me to add all the other holidays in it to. Be careful lest you attempt to be the voice of GOD in a prophets life.
