I've been in something very like it in Boston (US). It's alright - kind of fun to see your friends in different colors and bounce around, but not worth 3 hours in line.

Yes! It’s been at blue dot festival for at least the last two years! I didn’t go in last summer coz the queues were huge but I went in the previous summer and it was epic! Took loads of time lapses and photographs, the lighting and the curves are so otherworldly. Such an amazing but bizarre place to be

There was a security guard at the back of the queue saying the queue is closed. The sculpture would be closed before you got to the front of the queue.

Yep half ten is a very common way of saying half past ten, 10:30 in English. Though I do know that other languages say similar to mean 9:30 as half way to ten.
