"Sticking only to photo manipulations" Honestly this has been a big problem for me since I started using Photoshop.I stopped web desing, logo desing and more and i did not pay attention to other works because i thought it is right. But this video will help me to stop it. so thanks you very much bro.🙏🔥❤️
I started with photomanipulation back in 2014 & I completely agree with all the points you said in this video. Specially the last one. I still do photomanipulation sometimes but I focused on many other aspects of graphic design, 3D & motion design as well. While learning 3D I got to know a lot more about shadows lighting perspective and everything which eventually helped me a lot in photomanipulation.
I'm an aspiring photo manipulation artist. All your tutorials and guidelines are one of the best. I'm going to start my own journey by this month. You deserve more followers because you are one of the best tutors and guiding as new ones
Thank you bro!You helped me a lot for my “works” I just started a ps and this is one of the nicest program for today Good bless you Great from Germany(a hungarian boy)
i saw a man make everything desaturated in his composotion THENNNN started to colour themn. i found this soooooo logical and made so much sense. im yet to try this.
Start with small projects and slowly move up to large projections. W.i.p. and save your artwork bits by bits and sometimes when you take a break from creating a composite and come back you can tell what looks wrong and what you need to fix or work on better as well.
Thanks for the great video my friend. Hope to be as good as you one day and Benny .. and many others, both with photo manipulation and drawing, just.. love it.
I’m literally just getting into this now and have only so far practiced cutting out some mountains and putting a horse on some grass lol. I am such a beginner (at photo manipulation not photoshop) I now feel completely overwhelmed and not sure where to start, so this list has been helpful. I will now just start trying to put 3-4 things in one image. I have a cat, I want to put her in a scene, but I have serious doubts I will ever get anywhere with how hard it all looks. Subscribed anyway and checking out your other vids, love the work
Thank you so much! No worries! The more you do the more it will seem easier. Just start with basic compositions and practice everyday if possible. You will see the improvement in no time 😊
Great video, with some very good points. I only started photo manipulation little over a year ago, but have been photographing for much longer and there really is a lot you can learn from different style. Also i think a video on shadowing would be good. I see some beginners and intermediates just use a soft black brush and then let that be the shadow, but shadows aren't always black and aren't always soft. In photography there's often the focus on hard light and soft light and what effect it has on shadows. My tip would be, if you use a bigger background image (and not just build your own background), then take a look at that image on how the shadows are. How hard/soft they are and what hue
Thank you so much for your suggestions! Yes you are right... There is a lot more than a simple black shadow... Will try to do a video sometime in the future...
Hey am new to channel and I like your video it is useful, that is my I subscribed and liked the channel and thank you for your correction it help a lot .
Great video mate! Also getting yourself stuck in loop of Photoshop tutorials on youtube or online courses is another thing I did for longest time. I think after a point it will just get boring and instead focusing on creating an artwork will help more. Of course it will have some mistakes here and there but the thing is, we will get comfortable with workflow. I still watch tutorials, and specially the quick breakdowns and speedarts, but it's good to balance it with actual practice.
I find myself currently in this situation and realized recently that I can watch and subscribe to all the channels in the world but if I don't actually spend the time to practice or start on some of my own projects, they aren't doing me any real good. I can honestly spend hours passively watching PS tutorials without ever opening the software itself. Just watching tutorials is no good (at least for me, as a beginner).
PhotoManipulation is definitely an amazing tool to create artwork, but there is so much crossover between what makes a successful painting and photomanipulation! At the end of the day, they are both ways to create your ideal image. I like your wholistic approach! Great vid
Great information man! I hope this helps a lot of people who see this. I also agree of surrounding yourself with different forms and styles of art. You can gain various perspectives from others which could help inspire you and your future projects. It's a full circle really, which is amazing. Funny, I talked about this in my last video too 😂😂
Thanks a lot and well said man! Ah.. I need to check out your video then 🤗 Yes traditional painting is all over me and many a times I refer to cinematography for compositions. Its all the very same...

I don't do photo manipulation or creation but 3D designing and I always wait for a good idea to come to mind before designing, I look up for references from photographers, other 3D artists, traditional artists, concept artists, etc or get up and look around for something interesting, when I find it I begin sketching and placing objects here and there to see how they interact with the environment, sometimes the concepts just don't work so I either quit or work around, so even if your piece doesn't work I'd advice to test but if the idea doesn't work, it doesn't work
