Thank you for showing the guts and using humbuckers and single coils as well. It would have been useful to hear it before a clean amp but this is the better demo on it by now. The mod switch was announced as a switch between a fuzz face vs a mkii bender, but it sounds more like a cocked wah as you better described it. Your opinion about the attack, dynamics, and openess is priceless. Thank you. I liked and suscribed.
Nice demo job ! I think that “mod-switch” should have been a foot-switch, so that you can easy switch between mides.. Maybe that is doable to replace the switch …(mod it😅)
Well done mister Reeves! Very informative video, as you saw the guts do you thinking they made it dual transistors or triple transistors? It looks like it cleans very well with the guitar volume and at full volume the sound is "overloaded" like a 2 transistors mk 1.5. Also I've heard no "artifacts", "crackles" or anything like a germanium TB. Although, it is a very interesting concept and it sounds good enough to try one... thanks for the video👍🇨🇦
I must have a duff one... sending it back. the Mod switch is awful.. when engaged there is a profound drop in volume, makes it sounds almost like an octave pedal and it sort of cuts out certain frequencies completley. The level and attack knobs do virtually nothing ... and the fuzz only really kicks in on either modes if the volume on my guitar is on 10. Turning the level knob down even a wee bit means a 90% drop in volume.. anyone else experiencing this?
Not what I expected inside. Good way to get into the TB world I guess, they ain't for everyone. I think I'd miss the snarl and lunatic gain of a "proper" clone though, this one is a bit polite
I got mine yesterday from Andertons too, initially I wasn’t inspired by the mod setting, seemed to splutter out on certain frequencies, but after playing again today and finding a sweet spot with the attack it’s really cool. Seems like the attack is a bias control for the transistors. Definitely will mod it out in the future. The enclosure alone is worth £49 😂
Well, bear in mind hearing it on you tube is quite different to in real life. I've bought a few muff clones based on on-line reviews and none of them were close to what I build. Not just in the basic tone, but also the range of sounds available and response to guitar volume changes. Having said that I've just placed an order, a bit of an impulse buy really, I just wanted to see what a cheap silicon TB version was like - but if i was thinking properly I should have spent a bit more an bought the Animals Pedal version of the Skreddy Rover and see what a builder that I respect can do with the tonebender circuit in silicon form. At this price the behringer is kind of worth it just for the enclosure seeing as real TB enclosures are £70. I wonder where they behringer get them?
Damn Andertons already has them but thommans is closer to where behringer is made i think I can't wait until the full new line of behringer pedals get to the USA I'm ordering all of them immediately when there in stock
Part of what allows the price is scale and ease of production. The components are cheap and with everything being PCB most of the process. The most expensive part was likely the case, as it required a new mold, but Behringer have the manufacturing capabilities to make it at a scale where it’s affordable. Remember the price as an Ibanez Tube Screamer Mini and just £15 less than a Boss SD-1. Now we’re not sure how much people are paid there, but my point was more that it doesn’t have to be slave labor that makes it cheap but it’s that they’ve found a way to keep the costs down a lot and to make it in big enough volume where it’s worth it.
@@gabrielledebourg2487 yes of course all those elements contribute to it. As we as a society want cheap sometimes someone else ends up paying for it with poor working conditions and pay.

Make believe playing demo but not making ang sense using a fuzz pedal to cover up your abilities... if you have any!!!
Gee Gary aren't you a "nice" person. Angry because you don't understand electronics & can't play guitar ?
You win the wanker of the year award. Wrong too 😂
@@GaryBertolo are you a real person? Marcus is the real deal - an absolute legend of the pedal community. How is your contribution coming along?
“Peace on Earth and goodwill to all men” 🎉😂hey Toxic Gary. Notice you have nothing on your channel to prove u can do better. Can’t U Not Try! 😂
Do you know of any pedal company owners that actually can play well?
An honest demonstration of this vintage sounding pedal, great to have a look at the inside.
Every demo of these sounds awesome. Can't wait to run it with a Plumes in front.
Cheers for the demo and also having a look inside answered a few questions 👍
god damn... it's literally the best sounding fuzz ive ever heard... yes even better than the vintage stuff
I've found it quite bland and generic sounding
@ ok

Thank you 🙏🙏 The Tweed super is pretty clean to be fair 30w 2x12 however its no hiwatt .... which its sitting on 😊
I guess the mod bypasses one transistor just like the MK1.5
@@miquelmarti6537 it doesn't sound like that to my ears, more like some sort of weird filter thing.
thank you, saved me taking mine apart when it arrives!
Cocked wah is what I thought too. Sounds like it'll cut through a mix
I could see using the Mod side to lead boost an OD with the Attack lowered to taste. Loving the clean up on it. Definitely getting one.
Cheers man. I really taught it was going to be a plastic enclosure.
no its a proper heavy cast thing 😀
Love the shirt!
great review ! 😇 as you say ,for the knockout cost its a
genuine contender and punches its weight 😉👍
Love Behringer already.
I have the Mosky Big Fuzz Tone Bender and it's good and has a tone control for more sonic options ❤
What’s your favorite setting on the Mosky?
love your stuff Markus!
Nice demo job !

Thank you for sharing. 🎛️⚡️🤙
I think your JEN box and a Vox wah get you closer to a "Ronno" mode, but I heard it too.
I was just thinking 'I wonder if this would fit where my Warm Audio is...' thanks! 😊 Intending to get one and turn it into a MKI
Thanks. Was good to see it was actually a cast enclosure. I first thought it was gonna be a plastic one.

Thanks ... like you say "Rono" like. Also had the feedback first note intro off of Width of a Circle off to a tee.
Stupid Question, does it bea cheap option for led Zeppelin 1 tones? Greetings from Germany..
Sounds like a nice overdrive but not very Fuzzy when maxed out 😮
My last name is Reeves. I'm in Iowa. And I am a bit of a guitar nerd. Is there something to that? Great video.
Legend. 🎉

Mine arrived literally 10 mins ago. Just warming it up....
Thanks!
Transistors?? Where? I don’t see any.
they wont be easy to spot if they are SMT. Just little rectangular boxes with three legs/tags. Tiny

Interesting. When it’s that cheap you’ve got to wonder that someone isn’t getting paid very well somewhere along the line.
Interesting, you wrote that on your iPhone or Android? Just because they're more expensive, doesn't mean the workers are getting paid very well.
@ well, yes that’s obviously the case. I wasn’t commenting on everything that gets made.

I had the Lovepedal Bone Tender and it was IC based. I compared it to the MK II clone at the time and it was damn close.
The Lovepedal Bone Tender sounds NOTHING like an original TB. (I own both). They just called it that for marketing reasons I assume, very misleading.
