I used to live in Byron. Miss it so much. There's a lot still the same since 2005 but a lot has changed as well, less restaurants and cafes and more banks and clothing stores by the looks. Good memories. Glad to see its still a cool beach town and not modernized too much.
It is a lovely place - this was my first trip there - so I don't know how much change it has gone through, but I am looking forward to going back again in the near future - this is a good documentation for future I guess. Something to back to over the years.
@@toseetheworld How long did you get to stay there? It's the nicest place I've ever lived but its expensive which is the downside. Yes that's great you captured the moment so you and all of us can look back to again 🙂
@@cal-king We took a day trip there from the Gold Coast. Haven't looked at the prices but I would expect that it is an expensive place, given the beauty of it, the beach was just amazing.....
It was my first visit - I had heard about it many times, it was different to what I expected. I don't have a before and after to compare unfortunately, but can imagine it would have been much different 30 years ago. Thanks for stopping by.
I grew up here ..our family had houses at Wategoes back when Raes was the Argentine Ant..Barry Crocker had his restaurant and il duomo was the place to eat. We used to slide down the lighthouse hill on cardboard with the wild goats chasing us. I worked for Stropp at the Top Pub for many years and also for vincent at Raes . John Murray was the publican at the TP and life was good. Now I see this and i cannot stand what has become of my once beloved Byron.
Sounds like an awesome time you had when you were growing up. Unfortunately the same goes for a lot of places. Unfortunately change cannot be stopped. Still pretty though. I do like to Lighthouse location very much too.
Things would have been much different then I gather - things have certainly changed everywhere when compared to the 80’s. Are you still living in Byron?
Good NOT to see masks anymore. In my opinion they ruin the filming and viewing. Very well done. Plenty of fresh air, sea and surf! We are still not allowed to go and holiday though. 😭 So good that you can give us the views - big thanks for a very helpful, informative description page too 💖 😍 👍 👊 🇬🇧
Happy to hear you enjoyed it- we are doing well with keeping on top of pandemic here although Victoria has gone into lockdown 4 and back to wearing masks again for the last 2 weeks due to another break out from a returning overseas citizen- so sad and frustrating- not sure when the state will win this one. Which country are you in my friend? I keep praying for the world to beat this virus in the near future 🙏🙏🙏
I haven't been but I'm sure they are. Sorry to hear you didn't like our Byron - it is popular here - if all the countries coastal cities and towns looked the same, that might be boring to some. Gotta have differences I guess. Have an awesome weekend dear friend. Thanks for stopping by.
Wonderful Walking tour.. have a great day
Thank you my friend 🙏🙏🙏 you too. 👍👍👍

We own a shop in byron bay in the industrial area in the mid 80s locals were fair

Açai is the best fruit ever@
I totally agree. And so good for you.
@@toseetheworld there´s a state in Brazil that the people eat açai with fish

13:34 is what attracted meeeeee
😎👍👍👍
I don´t know what´s the hype here, except surfing?!? Just a small unremarkable town or a slightly larger village.
It's probably a little overrated, but nice for a visit nonetheless.
Byron used to be cool
I think it still is somewhat - I don't have anything to compare it to, so to me it's still lovely.
The coastal cities and towns in california look better, i am not impressed with the byron, boring.

Are you Vaxxed?
?? Not sure how to answer that due to privacy. Why do you ask?
