I went to Falmouth uni from 2014-2017 and watching this has brought back all the memories. I moved into uni on the 11th Sept 2014 and remember beign the only one in my flat. My roommate moved in the next day, and then the rest of the flat over the 2 days after that.
I miss Cornwall a lot, even though I lived there for 14 years in total. I'd love to go back and relive my uni times. Do some things differently, take part more, but at the time I didn't realise that I struggle with anxiety.
I did Creative Writing and loved it, made some great friends, and it was purely because I wanted to do it, not because I wanted it to help me for a job. I think that made the difference for me.

Hi! I’m thinking of doing creative writing at Falmouth too and I just wanted to know if you’d recommend it some pros some cons? And also I has some questions about the pitch for the interview. Mainly if it is just a pitch, like pitching a novel or a series or something like that. (Maybe this wasn’t around when you applied I don’t know) It seems like you really enjoyed your time which makes me feel a lot more secure in my choice! And of course you’re not obligated to answer I’m just a person that likes to know a lot about a situation before I jump into it :)

@@roease6674 I'm exactly the same... I like being prepared too. From what I can tell, the course has changed a lot since I did it, but it seems like there's a lot more opportunities now for writing, podcasts etc. My interview consisted of some normal questions like why I wanted to study, and then the main question which was totally random but designed to see how creative you could be. So for me, the question was "what happened to the aeroplane?". (Historical point:the Malaysian flight that disappeared had just happened). I talked about time travel and worm holes, but the idea is that you can thinking your feet and create a story from barely anything.
I wish I could be more help! But the staff are amazing there, and Falmouth is beautiful

hey i'm looking to possibly apply for falmouth uni for 2020 just wondering if you recommend it. I literally live 30 mins away from falmouth so im really use to cornwall and love the area. i know falmouth has loads of different accommodation so would you recommend on campus accommodation or in falmouth town (maratime, tuke, the view...etc.)

hiya, would recommend it 100% !!! I lived on Campus in Glasney and loved the student experience, but had friends who lived in town as well and also loved it, depends on what you want to be honest :) town is great for being close to everything, but is annoying to get to Uni but you can live there for the next two years or whatever you fancy. Living on Campus is so quick to get to uni so that's a perk x
