Thank you for such a helpful clear and concise video! What kind of epoxy did you use for the leather/magnetic clasp? I am thinking of trying the magnetic clasps with a rubber cord.
Perfect. Exactly what I needed. Funny you warned the magnetics can be tricky cause, this was my first project & I was working w/magnetic barrel clasps AND magnetic hematite beads. LOL!
Yay ! just succeded thanks to the little seed bead ! It sticks out, but no worry. The bracelet stays in place . I made a knot in my silk thread on the starter side an wondered how to make a hidden one in this particular clasp . Thank you !
What kind of thread was Rose using on the second bracelet? Is it an elastic cord or non-stretch. I need something that will work for an active man on a beaded bracelet.
The 5-minute Epoxy that was used in this video would be a great one to try: www.firemountaingems.com/search/?keywords=H201954TL We also have a great resource chart on glues and adhesives that you can check out here: www.firemountaingems.com/Resources/encyclobeadia/charts/GLUES? That will give you some great options! Hope this helps. 😊
Hi can I ask what diameter chord & what diameter magnetic clasp did you use in your last part of your video?. I’m looking to use magnetic clasps for some pendants. Kind Regards
Hi Chris. On the very last design, Rose use 2mm leather cord with this clasp: www.firemountaingems.com/itemdetails/h208574fx By snipping the end of the cord at an angle, it allows for the cord to be glued into the clasp.
Hi what was the second glue you used with the leather and clasp? I've tried gs hypo cement and it's not stuck my clasp to my leather bracelet 🤷♀️. Thanks
How do you get a bracelet off your wrist when it has magnetic clasp? All well and good if it is not on your wrist, but getting it off, is impossible. HELP>
Hi Erica. We'll answer your question here too in case you don't see our message back to you on Facebook. Magnetic clasps should always be slid apart rather than pulling them apart. It sounds like you might not have anyone near you that could help you slide the magnetic clasp so you can get your bracelet off so we would suggest the third hand. The third hand has a weighted base and steel tweezer for grasping. Here's a link: www.firemountaingems.com/itemdetails/h203817tl
thank goodness for a straight forward lesson. I am so glad I found this. Cheers :-)

What kind of glue should I use if my cord was like a wire rope? I think it has metal in the middle of it and i want to put a magnetic clasps.
