You will go along way, young man, not being afraid to get your hands dirty and with practical applications. I hope you have a wonderful journey in life!
Nice build, great to see a younger kid getting into building stuff. I was looking at the power sports kit, the rascal $900 with no engine or clutch, yeah it seems a little beefier than this, the foot peg was a steel bar welded to the frame, which could easily be done to this before paint and you just pushed the rubber pegs on, and the brakes were a caliper and disc. But this is certainly all you need to have some fun and it`s around $500, it`s a great deal. Mini bikes were all over the place when I was a kid in the 70`s, $20 got you a decent running mini bike, it was nothing to get a mini bike in front of someones house on garbage night, all it neede was a motor. Great video, nice build Eric.
Really enjoyed your cool Mini Bike Video! Now I see what my Dad had to quickly do with the Mini bike my Parents got me back around 1969 or '70 (for Christmas or my B-Day - can't remember which). I'm sure my Mini probably came somewhat pre-assembled in a box, but I bet my Dad still had to mess with the wheels, cables, and 34 or 36 cents per gallon of gas. I could swear around frames 8:35 that was the first time I saw any Washers (preferably lock washers)! Happy to see someone doing physical activity instead of flipping the controls on an xBox.
Right on man! Yup it was a very good video. Thank u. I was waiting to see how u aligned the back Tire with the engine but with your video I think I can figure it out thanks again stay strong and be positive. PEACE 👊💥🕺✌️ PS I like you one man army
"Maybe get a friend or something" ... Clamps and weights are your friends! ;-) Another idea for "next time": you could put the frame on its side, stack the bushing+wheel+bushing sandwich then pound the axle in from the top.
I would lower that gear reduction so that it goes faster but doesn't accelerate as well, so you won't be doing wheelies every-time you give it the beans. Great video none the less :)
7:08 Chain stretch. It happens with most every chain driven machine and is a fact of life but with motorcycles, the slack is taken up with the rear wheel, adjusted outward or to the rear.
Hi Eric. By chance, do you remember the bolt size and thread that screws into the Predator engine shaft? Also, if the bolt was standard or metric. Many thanks!
Cool tutorial and nice looking bike. Looks fun. Only thing I would have done differently is put the back wheel on first...would have put the weight on the rear end and kept it from tipping forward. either way, you did a fine job. got any plans to hop it up?
I have the same Azusa bike and predictor 212 engine but I'm having trouble with lining the pre drilled holes line up because when I do I can't get the gas cap off! Any solution?
I have a question about your go kart build I am making one and was wondering how you get the bearings on the back wheels to stop spinning so that they will spin together THANKS!! Good video btw
how did you put the engine in the right place did you just slide it in and also when you bought 3542 did it come with the frame or do you have to buy the frame seperatly
@@calebzapata9879 Lots of engines have a kill switch but it is on the engine block (he uses the switch at 11:44) and hard to reach while the minibike speeds out of control. You would have to take your eyes off the road and look down to find it and if your hand slips, you're touching a very hot engine! Some older Briggs and Tecumseh engines have a kill switch on top of the engine that you press against the spark plug to stop the engine, it is just a metal tab. A cheap kill switch is tying a string or zip tie to the spark plug wire so you can pull the string to pull the plug wire off the tip of the plug and stop the spark. Don't touch the spark plug wire while the engine is running or you will get a nice shock.
Hey Eric, wondering if you are able to take the gas cap off with this frame. Looks like it is being covered by the metal beam. Wanted to know cause I plan on building one myself. Thanks!!
Basically I think you're basically going to be having a lot of basic fun! Might want to put some lock tight on all four of those front and rear axle bolts! I built a similar one many many moons ago and one of the bolts backed off due to vibration (and me not checking them before each and every ride) the axle came off and well...... Let's just say I'm lucky but I still have scars!
Good afternoon friend. I really liked your video, your mini bike was very good. I'm from Brazil and as you know here things are a bit more delayed. Good without getting out of the subject, what's your name or what is the model of this type of wheels? ... that you used. 👏👏
Hi, very good videos, I'm envious of your minibike. Here in the Czech Republic it can not be bought, so thinking about own production. Would you be willing to provide any information?
Hi Eric Lindberg your videos are very cool and entertaining. I got an Azusa minimize kit and my rear and front wheels wobble SO MUCH and also my rear brake rubs quite a bit and I can't fix it. any help would be awesome thanks.
Hey mate, i don't know… I have wanted one of these, but i don't have any mechanic experiences. Is it really hard to build. And have you bought a frame and fork on that link?
I got the same kit and I'm having issues. the brake drum/sprocket rubbing against the bolt that's welded on. It's the bolt that the fork of the brake assembly hooks onto.
I thought that was my problem. In the assembly guide it said the shortest bushing goes under the brake assembly rather than the middle one. So I did it the order you have it and it is still scraping. I feel like I should just saw that bolt down.
I hope you do a follow up and show any improvements you make to your Azusa Mini Bike project. BTW: Go Kart, AKA Azusa Mfg. made the first mini bikes ever. The West Bend powered version was branded "Big Bear Scrambler."
We just got one of these bikes and are trying to mount the same engine (predator 212) and can't get the gas cap off. It is under the top of frame. How do you work around that?
Im also curious about how that would work. Im thinking going to harbor freight to get help. But I would imagine removing the gas tank from the engine, mounting it to the top of the frame, and getting a longer gas line.
8 years pass and your video quality is still better then most today.
So great to see a young fella doing something constructive and mechanical in this day and age. Well done Eric!
It's great to see a young guy building something instead of playing video games 24/7.
Everything's banned now including these bikes though
true
You will go along way, young man, not being afraid to get your hands dirty and with practical applications. I hope you have a wonderful journey in life!
I had one just like that when I was a kid and that was back in the 70's :) I guess if something works you don't change it. it was tons of fun to ride

That rocks Eric! I had one just like that when I was a kid. I wore a dirt trail around our back yard with it. So much fun.
I’m getting here late but nice job. The world needs more of people like you
Eric, great video. I laughed as you drove around the house on the grass. Keep up the good work.
Super super helpful video! Putting mine together tonight and i would be lost without this video🔥
What website did you get yours off of
Way to go, I hope you are still riding it and having fun!
Wow that turned out awesome great video dude!
Smart kid. Lucky parents.
I built one of these about six years ago. It never fails, every time I ride mine, someone either ask to buy it, or where did I get it.
Where did you buy your kit from? :)
@@liambegley you can buy them from bmikarts.com and Azusas website
I've been waiting for this all day!!!!
My gas cap hits! I’m trying to finish it today! I’m stuck? Maybe get a small Honda gx200 gas cap?
Wonderful job my friend!
You are very creative I love the things that you make keep up the projects!😁
Remove ur profile pic...

That a really nice job. The bike looks great.
Cool build dude.
My kit is on the way, great video!!

great job man. awesome.
Hi friend very very amazing cool video 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
outstanding presentation young man.....well done...

Nice work young man!!!
Great job young man now you need to put on it a chain guard to protect your leg and a kick stand. Keep up the good work.
Or just dress responsibly. Pants and some decent boots but a chain and clutch guard is a good idea.
Looks like a nice little bike
Good for you, kid. Have fun and be safe!
That's a sweet build, great job!
Nice job on the build now just finding a place to ride....are you in Michigan?
Very impressive explanation and build!
Hello young friend continue great informatio., greetings frim panama republic.
Love the bike 😮
Cool tutorial and nice looking bike. Looks fun. Only thing I would have done differently is put the back wheel on first...would have put the weight on the rear end and kept it from tipping forward. either way, you did a fine job. got any plans to hop it up?
I need the brake cable kit that goes with that same brake assembly. Where did you get it? Thx!!!
Your amazing. u seem young but you know what ur doing
How did you get the rear tire on? I’m having the same trouble I think you had.
Nice Job man 👌
Hey do u think if i was doing a very similar build that the 6” tires would be fine. Im going for a shorter look.
I have the same Azusa bike and predictor 212 engine but I'm having trouble with lining the pre drilled holes line up because when I do I can't get the gas cap off! Any solution?
Hi! Great build...great job! Was wondering if you knew what size bearings are in your wheels and the part number of the Tristar wheels
Looks like what I need for a pit bike. Cool.
That is what the inventors said, "I need something to get around the race pits" and voila, the mini bike was born
I have a question about your go kart build I am making one and was wondering how you get the bearings on the back wheels to stop spinning so that they will spin together THANKS!! Good video btw
Would this be big enough for a 5 10 person if it only had the five inch wheels? And did it come with instructions?
use the bmx trick and flip that frame when putting on wheels.
+Jjj 543 i do that
Awesome dude
Where did you get that frame from?
how did you put the engine in the right place did you just slide it in and also when you bought 3542 did it come with the frame or do you have to buy the frame seperatly
It's working! It's working!
I would recommend a handlebar kill switch in case if the throttle ever gets stuck or if the brakes fail. Anyways nice video. I loved the series.
How do u turn a mini bike off if u dont have one??

Thanks for the quick response! Phew, that eliminated a lot of stress about the build :)
awsome video keep it up.
That thing is badass. Should have painted it ODG.

Ok, Yes they SHOULD....but please get in the habit of checking them (2 second look) before each ride. Have fun!
BASICALLY
MRrwmac can u come india and tell me how to make it
MRrwmac okiiio
I built one using all the same parts but has a problem with the gas cap...
Did your cap have enough clearence??
I think the new predators have a thicker gas cap on certain models. I believe there is an aftermarket low profile one that you can get.
Good afternoon friend.
I really liked your video, your mini bike was very good.

Guilherme Alves Silva they are called azusa tri star
Guilherme Alves Silva 8 inch ones
hey eric, i follow you from italy, how much is the cost of shipping to italy for this kit?
Hi, very good videos, I'm envious of your minibike. Here in the Czech Republic it can not be bought, so thinking about own production. Would you be willing to provide any information?
Did it come with mounting bolts for the engine? Do you remember what size they are if not
Did they lower the price? Or which model is it right because there's two models.
Great job!
Did you have to drill holes on the motor plate or did the stick holes line up?
Hi Eric Lindberg your videos are very cool and entertaining. I got an Azusa minimize kit and my rear and front wheels wobble SO MUCH and also my rear brake rubs quite a bit and I can't fix it. any help would be awesome thanks.
mini bike*
Cool motorcycle! How fast is it?
pretty amazing project awesome well done
I am buying the same engine and I was wondering what clutch you used. I know it was 3/4" but how many teeth? Oh and by the way cool videos
10t
With this bike kit is the engine included or do I have to buy the engine separately?
Great job. What size wheels and tires did you get?
Those are the 8" Azusa Tri-Star wheels and 480/400 x 8" tires. Comes with the Azusa mini bike kit with 8" aluminum wheels
Eric Lindberg what clutch did you use? I searched the comments but I didn´t find anything. Thanks.
+Eric Lindberg Thanks and good job on the bike
Super bike 🏍 👌
Eric how much did the whole thing thing cost including engine and what website did u get it from
Hey mate, i don't know… I have wanted one of these, but i don't have any mechanic experiences. Is it really hard to build. And have you bought a frame and fork on that link?
Pan Sirka it’s not that hard. I did it and I’m 14
When I go on the website I gives no information it only gives you the option to buy it did it do that for you? And how long did shipping take
Nice one!
How long did it take for the frame and the engine to be shipped to you?
That was a nice video thanks.

Is it a 12 or 13 tooth clutch. Also on ebay it says #41 chain for one clutch and #35 for another, which one did you use.
It comes with #35 and is a 12 tooth clutch
Is there a specific size, not of the tooth ratio, but to attach it to the wheel?
I really appreciate this video. Great job all around. Also, your Mom is really cute!!!
I hope you do a follow up and show any improvements you make to your Azusa Mini Bike project.

I live in Germany and I don't know where to buy such a bike. I can't find any company in the US that ships to Germany. Please help!
great video
How did you mount your predator engine to the bike? Like I think there is a mounting plate on the predator but do they give you bolts to mount it?
I was wondering the same thing the Motor dosnt come with the bolts
I believe that the screws for the engine mount are 5/16 -24 bolts.
+Lucas L thanks
Good made bro I like it
How long did it take for you to build it?
You are fearless. In my country (Greece) this bike is called "matrakas". :)
How about your frame were did you bought it?
This is awesome. I have the money to buy a kit but my parents don’t let me Carrie out my dream to make one of these so they don’t let me buy it
What's the biggest rim and tire I can run on this bike
Nice! Where did you get your foot pegs from?
Mum is helper .
Eric Lindberg I’ve built one of these but it seems the gas cap is right under the top bar and can not be access. What should I do?
The Last Schmuplet get a smaller Honda gx200/gx160 gas cap from amazon
