This story is about a complex relationship between Secret Service Chief Chen Mo Qun and an ordinary soldier Lin Nan Sheng. Having been chosen by Chief himself, he becomes a new agent. Initial boss/subordinate relationship grows to become more like father/son relationship.

Omg I already see the chemistry between these characters. 👍🏻 Why do I have the feeling there’s a misunderstanding between them?! At the beginning he looked like a patriot who is ready to die at his job and the very next minute he’s a traitor. I don’t believe this nonsense. 🧐☹️
The scriptwriter messed up 100 percent.

I totally agree with you. I don't know why the scriptwriter screwed up this wonderful complex character. We haven't got to figure out why Chen Mo Qun hated communists so much. And of course his ending was very weird and illogical.

@@worldofedits3641 Yeah. Also, Lin says that he betrayed his country because he was afraid to die. What a nonsense! If he was genuinely afraid to die then he would have behaved like Wang Shi An whole the time. If he was afraid of death then he wouldn't have participated in those dangerous missions where he could die any time from catching bullets. He simply wouldn't have risked his life at all. Instead he could just sit in his cabinet and give orders like Wang Shi An did. So it is a complete nonsense.

I feel like the scriptwriter screwed up his character intentionally to make him look like a bad person. Because Chen Mo Qun was a nationalist and opposed communists all the way. And we all know that China's current political power belongs to communists. So there's no way a good portrayal of Chen Mo Qun would pass the censorship. So, probably, that's why at the end, the scriptwriter made him absolutely out of the character, making him look like a feeble stupid coward. I truly hate that to be honest. Because he is my fave character. ❤😍
