😊 Memories of childhood and family gatherings around the television. Fantastic series from a sadly bygone era. Hannah Gordon truly beautiful always loved her presence.
Being reminded how beautiful Diane Keen and Hannah Gordon are is never a bad thing. Always enjoyed CMB and in particular Frank Muir and Robert Robertson
Thank you for this of course. We used to watch the series around this time and it was most enjoyable too. Robert Robinson and the team captains did so very well then too. After the series on BBC2 of course ended in 1988, as we know it returned in the daytime on BBC1 later with hosts Bob Holness and then Fiona Bruce so then too. Well done as well.
I watched C.M.B when it was Frank Muir and Patrick Campbell as team captain's. Loved the show for its simplicity of format and trying to guess works I had never heard of when a young child. Very catchy theme tune too!
Brings back memories. i worked on this show as a runner between 1998 and 2003 when Alan Coren was one of the team captains (Victoria Coren-Mitchells farther). Very nice man! Would be great to see it again and perhaps Victoria could captain one of the teams? Interesting that Jeffin now seems to be a term to do with interval running.
I was an avid watcher of this show and nine times out of ten, I would listen to a definition and say: "Well, that's BS , for a start!", even if it was right. But I can't remember an edition when EVERY SINGLE definition - even the true ones - smacked of such complete bollocks! I'm convinced we've just watched a special April Fool's Day edition!! Brilliant upload, Charlie!
Case in point: Robert Robinson at 1:16 and for the rest of the episode doesn’t stop the vibration of the bell after ringing it, as is it custom in the show. Maybe because I’m an Aspy perhaps I’m the only one that I noticed that.
They did actually make a couple of radio series on Radio 4 in 1968/69, but not with Frank, Paddy or Robert Robinson. Humphrey Lyttleton and Fenella Fielding were in some of them. Can't remember who the chairman was. I will try to find out.
Imagine, if you will, a far off, long gone time when dear old England still held traces of the inter-war years, and genteel persons gathered to tease each other with peculiar definitions of archaic vocabulary........
I had that Diane Keen in the back of my Uber the other week. Now, when I say ‘had’ I am not talking here in the biblical sense, although ‘coffee’ was mentioned … 🧔🏼♂️
Gentle, well mannered amusement. An age gone by.
How middle aged, how middle classed, how clean, how cerebral, and how absolutely wonderful.
and white
@@royfr8136 That's wonderful too.
Hannah Gordon & Diane Kern ….I’m in heaven 😂

Hannah Gordon truly beautiful always loved her presence.
Call My Bluff. 17.10.24. I think we'd have had only fools and horses on....but I like Hannah gorden. She's sweetly pretty....

I'd forgotten how lovely Diane Keane was.
Oh, dear -- you should never do that! (in fact I thought tht was impossible).
Brilliant programme.
I watched it as a kid and the bull meter and banter had me in knots sometimes
Doesn't Hannah Gordon look absolutely beautiful?. Elegant, classy English rose.
She is Scottish and it doesnt really matter what she looks like ..
@@spmoran4703It obviously matters to her, do you think she fell out of bed looking like that?
Thanks for uploading this. Brilliant TV back then.
Diane Keen...WOW...!!!!
Used to watch this with my mum. Always a favourite, especially if Frank Muir was in it.

Call My Bluff. 17.10.24. Stalko? A pretentious hooker?

Call My Bluff. 17.10.24. I often wonder when will the wonderous Diane Keane cheer up.....?
I loved CMB, especially during this era.
Just found my new binge watching addiction.
That theme tune is really very catchy

Those were the days my son, when we were number one!!
Now _that_ is a comb over.
Impeccable broadcasting, as it doubles up as a "radio" show if you just wanted to listen.

@@alangiles2763 Well, Robin Ray was the original host of the TV series, so maybe him?
this episode is from 22 April 1982
I blame Trudeau for legalizing cannabis , but I've been watching back episodes for 3 hours
I think this show is great .
Ian Ogilvy was a regular on CMB around the late 70s.
30th July 1984
Robert Robertsons comb over. Marvellous... Diane Keen was a crscker.
Robert Robinson with his comb over . SEX GOD !
Thank you so much for this! Do you have any more episodes of this wonderful programme?
A Mark Goodson-Bill Todman Production.
Imagine, if you will, a far off, long gone time when dear old England still held traces of the inter-war years, and genteel persons gathered to tease each other with peculiar definitions of archaic vocabulary........
So strange seeing a programme with only white middle class people. Bygone era.
Sad to say, it is indeed a bygone era.
Ogilvie ponce ........

Another reminder of how TV can “educate, inform and entertain” as John Reith meant it to. Sadly we’re fed trivia and pap nowadays.
Just the one "b" in Jib, for a first year at Trinity
@15:24 "Mick and Pat and Mike" - that dates it. It would be Senan, Ciaran and Tadhg these days.
Robert Robinson didnt he look gorgeous ?
Did the BBC wipe most of the tapes? There are precious few episodes on YT.
Muir kicked ass . .. .
Yes, Dennis Norden’s mainly …
This shows nothing is completely original. Call mt Bluff is basically a softer and perhaps more intellectual version of Would I Lie To You
Diane Keen... fwor. Kurdaitcha isn't what they define it as true.
Robert Robinsons comb over fwor
Bring this back. Stephen Fry as host. Team captains mmmmm
No, he's happier with smut.
Does anyone know the name of this guy? 0:48 Thanks in advance.
Arthur Marshall
Thank you, sir.@@charliebowser8553
Ian Ogilvy at 0:48.
@@Seminal_Ideas Thank you so much.
