Yeah, starting on desert is definitely an additional challenge as you need to figure out how to climb up the plateaus for most of the unlocks. At least with forest you will most often find a path to the entrance up a hill. Also, wood is a lot more rare of a resource until you gain the ability to open a portal to another realm.
Dexerto posted an article saying the release time is "1 pm GMT / 8 am ET / 5 am PT". Not sure the accuracy but we'll find out soon~ Very excited and thanks for all the guides!
The only reference to a release time from the devs is the Twitch drops announcement, so that's what I'm planning my stream around. Although I definitely wouldn't mind being able to download it earlier!
Wow, thanks for double-checking! Dexerto did not give a reference beyond "devs said so", clearly that's not the case. So who knows where they got that, if from any source at all.
I can't wait. this is one of those rare releases these days that I fall in love with even before it's out. I tend to not get excited anymore about new games as they often come out and you find out something that makes you realize game doesn't live up to the hype and your massively bummed so i tend to wait to look at games these days only after they came out and after i see people with actual good amount of playtime talk about. this one on other hand I am crossing my fingers hoping and praying is good and lives up to the hype. Although i am sure there will be plenty of updates in early access to continue updating game and that is ok with me.
as someone that's been able to see the process over the past year, I am very hopeful that this game will live up to their original vision! it may take some time to perfect, but the potential is there!
So glad I stumbled on your channel while waiting excitedly for Nightingale. My main question though, is can we (say my wife and I) share a single estate? Cairn / Respite and all? My wife is a much better builder than I am and she really likes that I efficiently gather stuff.
Yes but you'd each have to have one of your own what's called an Estate Cairn built within range of the structure. I had a party of three on the same realm with all of our Cairns 'attached' to the same build affecting our Estate score.
Will they add more to the story eventually? It looks like it'd have some pretty cool lore. But someone said on another video there is barely any plot/story to discover. 😮
They're most recent trailer mentioned an endgame place called "The Watch" and they made it sound like it was a lobby that would matchmake or something? Any idea what that was about?
It's kinda the 'endgame' for EA until they add more content. It's a special hub for up to 30 players (still 6 per party) where you can venture off into dungeons and take on some of the Apex creatures
This is going to be a rough week. I am also pretty excited about Pacific Drive, which is out 2 days later. I am still wrapping up the EA content in Palworld, and haven't bought Enshrouded. This is a great month for survival game fans.
After the Main Story like, what hours are realistic to keep playing after? Is it like Conan exiles where you could Do Things almost like endlessly or would you say that someone would invest like 100 hours and thats it, and restart the game after some months With New changes/content?
I don't think people will want to restart every time new content is added, it seems like new content will be more realms and more quests so you'd probably just pick up your existing character and push on! The big draw after finishing the content that's currently in EA would probably be unlocking more decor and build sets to make your perfect base.
Is there a way to move your base? I’m leery of the different biome feature and having to build new bases in each area. Is that an expectation of the general progression of the game? I’ll be watching your twitch channel tomorrow!
You'd have to move your base 'by hand' by bringing things over to the new realm and then eventually placing a new Estate Cairn there to make your new Respite point! I peronally do very bare bones building (like to rest or cook on the go) while I'm out exploring the realms and keep my Abeyance realm for the 'main estate'
Thanks for the reply! That’s a little disappointing to me as I don’t like games where I have to build, find a new area, rebuild. With the way the realm system works, we might not find our preferred area til way later in the game - and I’m not a fan of building once I’m about done with a game. Hopefully it works out. I plan to buy either way- everything else looks fantastic❤
Do you know if the islands themselves are completely randomized (ie locations and shape of hills etc.) or does each biome have a handful of configurations they pick from?
the environment is all procgen, I didn't notice any repeating patterns or duplicate areas in my playthroughs! That said, some of the handcrafted POIs obviously will look similar, but those are usually quest locations, etc.
You can visit each other's realms, or even decide to build your bases together on the same realm. You can party up and invite a friend over to the realm you're currently on, or once you've unlocked portals you can give them an 'address card' to be able to visit your home realm even if you're offline. I hope that answers your question, the term 'server' gets kind of confusing with this game because it's almost structured more like an MMO with always online servers hosted directly from Nightingale.
The CEO said he estimates about 30 hour at least for someone trying to hard focus the main questline, but I think there's going to be plenty more to keep us busy!
@@the_dorknessthanks for the answer, after the Main Story like, what hours are realistic to keep playing after? Is it like Conan exiles where you could Do Things almost like endlessly or would you say that someone would invest like 100 hours and thats it?
I like the answer about progression. Valheim got that one wrong. The game would progress at the rate of whoever got there first. This messed up the progression for those playing less or started later.
@the_dorkness Oi that sucks... It's bad enough we can't make our own dedicated servers or play offline. I was going to wait a bit to see if they end up adding those but if they add a cash shop of any kind I'm not sure if I'll buy it. I mean it can start as innocent as cosmetic but who's to say they don't change it later 😞
When you say "Absolutely no PVP" Is that really absolute tho? I thought they said there's PVP in this game back a year ago or something. That's the only reason I looked for a Video like this.
Pretty Dissapointed about the servers tbh. Means we are not able to create our own Dedicated Servers. "we don't have to rent a server to play with our friends" This is a really strange take tbh. All Survival style games i know don't "require" to rent a server to play with my friends. BUT for the people that actually have the infrastructure and the know how to run Dedi Servers this just means being heavily limited by the Devs. I really hope they change their take on this.
Agreed, people can lose internet, or have bad connections, Long queues if the server are overcrowd, which are going happen on day 1 of EA. "People should wait until server are stably before you buy this EA Nightgale on day 1" Server updates can cause crash and hours or days to fix. Each realms are all server base which is why the game is like this. They could make the game where you could host only one realm (Not connected to any other server) no need to rent server unless you want the server connected. More options for player can be good Also another game has done, is make each realm level base instead of server base so you don't need another server. It's not impossible to go down road as well
Enshrouded was a nice game, but the progression really killed the game for me and the group i played with, So that game is dead for us until they fix progression.
I haven't played Enshrouded yet, and it's probably for the best because I usually no-life games and would have accidentally left my usual group in the dust 😅

More good info Stevie... really appreciate you for doing this... great for people just jumping in!
thank you so much💞

looking forward to checking the game out this week! (:
Can't wait to get that lil dapper dog!
I have a feeling that your channel is about the blowup lol🎉 in the best way possible. Can’t wait to join you on your live stream today.
How did I learn about this game 2 days ago and I'm this obssessed with it?!
you found it just in time it sounds like!

$29.99 USD with Steam's recommended regional pricing!

There's definitely more realms/quests planned for throughout early access!
Oh nicely informative, appreciated! Prob gonna wait and hope they add offline mode along the EA or at full release.
You're my new favourite content creator

Thank youuuuu ❤❤❤❤ just uploaded my Enshrouded base video as a goodbye as we have finished it, fully ready to jump in to Nightingale!!!
I have been so busy with prepping for NG that I missed Enshrouded, I'll have to go back and check it out when I have time!
@@the_dorkness it's a great game, was lot's of fun. Just found it a bit to easy, but amazing 150 hours of building, exploring and crafting :)

same, i've been holding off on getting too deep into anything because I know this is going to take all of my interest for a while
@@the_dorkness the upside is that I will probably watch content for Nightingale in between sessions of playing other things.

There is now an option to play offline,
Can you swap out the umbrella for another type of glider?
The only gliders currently in game are umbrellas
In which biome do I find "Harpies?" thanks, I enjoyed your videos. You give thorough explanations. It's much appreciated.
Harpies are in the Swamp biome! I'm not sure if they're tied to a specific realm power, though!
Their meat and hide help with agility. Or so it said in the 8 minute trailer.

comes out 8 AM EST btw
nope, it's 12 noon ET! the devs have confirmed that on twitter and in the discord server since I made this video
So my friend's can be in the same server but different biomes? And if so is it easy to travel across?

What beautiful imagery 💖💖💖
First step is admitting you have a problem. Work the steps and the steps will work for you.
the only steps I'm working are the ones I take to walk the realms 😏
I like the answer about progression. Valheim got that one wrong. The game would progress at the rate of whoever got there first. This messed up the progression for those playing less or started later.
also, the fact that progression is tied to each character is great so you don't need an alt for each friend group you might want to play with!
it's highly likely that this game is gonna take LOTS of my time and i don't mind.
saaame, I'm probably gonna play it for 12 hours straight tomorrow
What about third person playing?
I've played almost exclusively in third person. Use F5 to toggle between modes!
Thank you, it's good to have optional third person with all functions.@@the_dorkness
Wait.. what did you mean by you can get a pet for "free" via twitch. Does that mean there's confirmation about there being a cash shop?
I don't know if there will be one on day one but they've said there's a possibility of a cosmetics shop.

$29.99 USD
Are there any Mounts?
unfortunately not right now, but I think that there's so much potential in the future with the fae creatures and steampunk mechanisms!
@@the_dorkness Are the realm cards reusable or one time use?

yes, but it's a dash as a secondary action tied to your knife
