Our Story:
We are four years into a seven year effort of transforming 20 acres of "Piney
Grove" in Northwest Florida into our dream homestead/mini farm to be filled
with animals and joy. We plan to have a variety of miniature critters on our
pastures, raise free-range chickens, grow fish in our pond, garden
organically, plant fruit and nut trees, and harvest wild game. Our goal is
to escape the stresses of corporate life and embrace all that country living
has to offer as we enter the next chapter of our lives. Follow along on our
journey!

Thank you for the terrific and comprehensive video. I am clearing a lot of brush at our property in Maine. Best regards!
Thanks. We use this all the time....I need to order a new one!
Great looking blade Brad. Looks like it did a fine job on that brush.
It's a game changer to us for keeping the property kept up! Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb
Great video pal.
Glad you enjoyed
Love Canada Merci 😊❤merci
No one has shown pieces of wire in place of plastic ties or string. String breaks off too easily. Plastic ties take a bit more punishment. But what about using pieces of wire which can probably be used on the ground and among stones and gravel?
I don't usually comment but that whole video is well presented clear and comfortable to listen to I really appreciate your time that you put in that video as I quite enjoyed that your pace of speech and the clarity that you brought into it and you're considerate nature keep up the good work and you do you
Thanks for kind comment. We try to get better with each video!
Still. My weeds alone will jam your trimmer up solid. No matter what you Attach to it, won't matter. My dry weeds will lock up any and all trimmers of every type with every gimik attached.
Just a bad design to begin with.
How’s it work on ground vines?
It chops up anything especially when it's new. We have lots of kudzu and it eats it up. Once you have a blade setup like this, you'll wonder how you did without it!
Can I use the kit on my Black Max ?
They have adapters. I think they will fit most any brand...the shaft should be the same size. Take off your string head and measure.
I literally put a blade on my FS55 for the first time last night. I had the guard on initially, but per your advice, I took it after after just a few minutes. That made all the difference. Briars weren’t getting clogged in the guard and slowing me down. Great tips. I may grab one of those Red Razor blades. 👍
I'm glad you found it helpful, Lucas. It's amazing what that blade can do! I put it third behind Precious and the L3901! Take care. B&D
DUDE, absolutely fantastic presentation...........................👍👍
Thanks so much. Here's another blade we tried out: th-cam.com/video/PiFn1hg6EWs/w-d-xo.html
Looks like that blade will cut through anything.
When it's new and sharp the results are incredible. It's getting some wear on it now, but I'll run it until it's round!! Thanks for watching. B&D
Had to look up if you can use a blade instead of a string cause my back yard has little trees now and i need them gone. A string just won't do it
It's a great tool. Here's an updated video: th-cam.com/video/PiFn1hg6EWs/w-d-xo.html
Folks. You need to be careful about putting a saw blade on a string trimmer like this. A normal radial saw blade on an electric saw spins at about 2500 rpm. If you mount it on a motorized string trimmer it is going to spin about twice that much. If you get a kick back or the blade breaks you could be seriously injured. Stihl reccomends that you only use their saw blade attachment with their units that have a handlebar. Beware and be safe.
You're very good at explaining things!
Thank you. Sometimes it doesn't feel that way when the camera is rolling!! Thanks for watching.
Safety first people.
Good stuff. Thank you for the info. Going up against a 22 acre farm, neglected for 13 years. This will be a start.
This is a great tool to reclaim your land.....and also a tractor with a brush hog!!
how much power do you think a trimmer should have in order to accommodate the forester?
I did a video on the Forester with a 1hp Stihl trimmer: th-cam.com/video/PiFn1hg6EWs/w-d-xo.html
Really informative and well presented.
Thanks. That was a while ago. Hopefully we are a little better now!
Is them Blades one size fits all kinda Situation
I think the arbor size is pretty consistent for all trimmers.
That works extremely well for you! Thank you for sharing this with me Brad!
Those blades are a game changer for property management!
Bout had it with all these GD invasive weeds and vines, ready to build a flamethrower
Can you do that on worx ?
I am not sure
Good Job Aaron 👍🏾
Thanks, I think. Who is Aaron?
Hi Brad, well done on the brush cutter blade. I'm looking at getting one as well. Thank you have a great weekend.
Thanks Ross. That red blade in the video is 🔥and I highly recommend it. It will change your life! 🤣 Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb
Excellent review! The type blade you demonstrated, I put in my save group on Amazon. I do have the steel type and have been using it for a while. It is a bit dull and I recently purchased one with more teeth than the previous and the one with the saw type you showed in the video. I should get that this weekend. I plan to use them on the bushes on my neighbor’s side of the house. Loved how you demonstrated the use of your blade. I thought about removing the guard, but I’d rather stay cautious and keep it on just in case. I use the Kobalt electric separate brush cutter attachment to give me the option to use the string attachment when needed. Thanks again! 👍🏾
Awesome! Here's my follow up video: th-cam.com/video/PiFn1hg6EWs/w-d-xo.html
Good video I got same weedeater I used a 10 and 12 in bench saw blades there heavier had mine weedeater for 10 yrs just changed carburetor still kiks but God bless 🙌
I will be so sad when that weedeater dies...but after 20+ years, it owes me nothing! Thanks for watching.
I like this tool. I would prefer to see you cutting branches and twigs and grass at regular speed.
Here's another video: th-cam.com/video/PiFn1hg6EWs/w-d-xo.html
Well explained! Thank you!👍👍
Glad it was helpful!
Best video on this so far! Thanks! Ordering products off your store now.
Thanks so much. Here's an updated video: th-cam.com/video/PiFn1hg6EWs/w-d-xo.html
Great watch ,very good tutorial ,thank you!!!
Glad you liked it! Here's another: th-cam.com/video/PiFn1hg6EWs/w-d-xo.html
Thanks Brad! I need one of these. Love the blade and ability to trim bushy weeds and tree suckers and low branches. You explained it very well.
They are so useful. We use ours all the time. We need to put a new one on order....ours is getting dull after a couple years. thanks for watching.
Piney Grove is rhe best! Love Brad ans his commentary! I ama fan!
Thanks so much!
20 acres in Florida!!! Didn't know people still own more than 1/4 acre in Florida 😮
Here's a good story about our land: th-cam.com/video/mxcfQL-4FRs/w-d-xo.html
@@PineyGroveHomestead can't say where we are, but with all the exodus going on from escaping yankees from the shit hole democrat states, I can't blame florida from having a system of protecting their sacred agricultura land. Maybe not you, but others might try and build 20 houses for sell in your 20 acres. Good luck to you and your family.
Once the carbide gets knocked off it don't cut it for me. It is kind of like putting on off road tires that big junks of the tread falls off of the first time you go on a gravel road.
We're still using this same blade often. It's duller but still cuts well.
"It's duller but still cuts well." Nothing like a good cuttin' sledge hammer.
I like how it cut hanging branches.
We use it all the time for that! Thanks for watching.
Thanks, very informative.
Glad it was helpful!
I didn't like the chainsaw blade but it will run it God bless 🙏
It won't appreciate me though! I'll slap it on there one day and give it go!
@@PineyGroveHomestead it does good just walk around 5 or 6 in tree God bless 🙌
Awesome tool! I want one!
It really is....so useful for that stuff the string trimmer can't handle!
I have been considering doing this to clean out my fence rows. They have been neglected for years and all overgrown with brush. That is going to take me weeks to accomplish the task. Not really looking forward to it but once I get started, it is hard to get me to stop.
Great job on this video Brad. Lots of great tips. I was looking into a Diablo blade. I watched a "Project Farm" you tube video last winter where he did a comparison of various blades. It appeared to me that for price and performance, Diablo came out in front of all the others he tested.
Thanks for sharing Brad. Better let you get to work. Catch you on the next one.
I'm sure a skil saw blade would work, but for the same price or cheaper you can get the Renegade Hybrid blade made for brush cutting. amzn.to/3ASYIju I really like it and always take it with me to the farm. Good luck with your fence line....after 4 years of clearing, we've got ours pretty clean and can maintain with the sprayer now!
Thank you. Well explained and showing how to cut through thick grass, weeds and branches was really informative.
ALL round great video. Thank you ❤
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching!
? 👉 Dose Anyone Know If I Can Mount The Blades To A DeWalt 40Volt String Line Battery Opperated Unit?
If the arbor size fits the blade, it should work. Amazon has easy returns!
