Thank you for your reaction/review. I was suffering from depression a long time ago. One day, my friend suggested I take up mixed martial arts and took me to his gym. I would listen to rocky music every morning when I went for a run at 5 in the morning. I wanted to push myself and endure like Rocky. I can honestly say Rocky changed my life. I no longer have depression now.

Nothing beats Rocky II for me, it's such a beautiful sequel that wraps up the original story absolutely perfectly. The next couple films are okay, but they change the tone of the series a little too much, the 5th one tries to return to the heart of the series and fails, and then the 6th one brings back the heart and soul and succeeds in every way. 1, 2, and 6 are my favorites by far.

Great Reaction!!! I've seen Rocky II a 1000 times, but watching the movie through your eyes for the First Time made me cry too. The Rocky movie franchise is definitely my favorite movie series. All of them are really good( Rocky V is just OK). Rocky 2 holds a special place for me because it was the first Rocky movie I ever watched at the age of 9. I still love it just as much today. Even though his second fight with Apollo Creed is one of my least favorite fights in the Rockies series overall, the 15th round of the second fight between Rocky and Apollo is arguably my favorite round of a Rocky fight, and the climax where Rocky and Apollo both go down but Rocky beats the 10 count as Apollo falls is probably the best climax out of any Rocky movie! Rocky 2 is definitely an emotional roller coaster where we go from highs as Rocky just went the distance with the heavyweight champion of the world and he marries Adrian and has his son, to unbelievable lows where Rocky is having a hard time supporting his family and then Adrian slipping into a coma after he accepts the fight with Apollo, to finally beating Apollo Creed the best boxer of all time. I really enjoyed watching this movie through your eyes and Hope to see your reaction to all the other Rocky and Creed movies. There are 6.5 Rocky and 2 Creed movies, as there is a 2021 director's cut of Rocky IV, which I think is vastly better than the 1985 theatrical cut of Rocky IV. Apollo's character grows a lot over the next two Rocky films. As I said I hope to see more Rocky reactions from you !!! Great Job.

From all of us, thank you for continuing your Rocky journey. It's very clear that you are an Empath and you feel so much for others, whether it's for their situations or for their safety. Rocky's story of determination and dedication to Adrian and the family is what these movies are all about. The lengths he goes to to provide for them shows the measure of his heart. Just like with you and your husband making it through difficult times shows the goodness and big hearts that you both have. I've seen many reactions to the Rocky saga but yours stands out. I quite enjoy your commentary and urge you to continue with this venture. It's obvious that movies like this are difficult for you but the ones that are great will always elicit these kinds of emotions. Keep those boxes of tissues close by. :) All my best to y'all, from Texas.

I saw all the Rocky films in the theaters since it’s original in 1977. I do know what it’s like to struggle and have spent time, out of work, or working two mediocre jobs and taking care of the baby. I know how you feel.
I’m in 60s and though I am financially in a good place, if I were to fall back, I wouldn’t worry too much. I’ve raised a great son. He’s 30 now. He’s my best friend and that’s all the treasure I need. Money comes and goes but we mustn’t lose sight of what’s important.
I never really paid much mind to how Apollo lost sight of his wife who did support him. If you keep the loved ones in mind, win or lose, we are all winners.
Great reaction video. Great job. 👍

That is so true! Amidst the struggles you don't always kmow which way to go and how to deal with it, and the stress and worries gets a hold of you, but once you're through it and you look back on it, you realise they were minor things and there were bigger things at play that were more important and that those struggles were needed to get you to the place you need to be. Thank you for sharing your story ❤❤

@@unwindreactions6223 no problem. I’ll add that I’ve been in positions where I’ve held two jobs spread out over 7 days for over a year. Had to live paycheck to paycheck, not buy new clothes or shoes for years, been bankrupt, unemployed and underemployed, divorced, fearing the bill collectors who called, pawning my tv and stereo, then having tv break down and not fixing it…. All along with the usual family and friends volunteering bad advice with the best intentions.
And I finally got a god job and crawled back and learned no to ever worry about financials again. My son was and is healthy and so am I. Im blessed.
I wish for you nothing but the best.

Other actors have been stars as long as Stallone (Eastwood, Redford, etc.), but no other star has played the same character in eight films spanning over 40 years. Stallone presents Rocky's character development accurately and believably, because he's aging with the character. I hope you watch them all eventually!

This may be a little long. I love your reactions. I think you have a minor misconception about Apollo. Apollo Creed's character is based off of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.
    >Muhammad Ali had a philosophy: "millions of people will pay good money to see an arrogant person get his mouth shut in a fight". So Ali would refer to himself as "The Greatest" and talk trash to whoever his opponent is in order to hype up the fight.
    >Apollo is not only a boxer. Not only a businessman. But a showman. He wants the audience to be invested in the match.
6:14-6:30 You can see that this is the case. Rocky shows up to his hospital room and asks him if he gave him his best. Apollo is completely calm, because there's no cameras around and no publicity. So there's no need for him to keep up the act.
    >And after the fight was over, he immediately congratulates Rocky for the win.
Maybe in the future if you rewatch these 2 films with these points in mind, it might change the way you view some of his scenes.

The loan shark really did have good intentions with Rocky. Apollo wasn't superficial. He was fighting for his pride. He couldn't let it go because deep down he felt like he didn't win the first fight definitively. That's the main reason for wanting a rematch with Rocky.

    Wow. Great emotional reaction.
I kind of always looked upon Rocky 2 as a bigger budget, faster paced, more action, more uplifting, Hollywood blockbuster type movie compared to the first film which I saw as more a slower paced independent style drama. But having watched a few reactions I see how emotional the second film is. Rocky 2 was the film in the series that was always on TV when I was a kid in my country and I guess I didn't really connect with how serious the issues of Rocky being out of work facing the humiliation of being unable to support his family is. I think it's changed my perspective of this film a bit watching TH-cam reactions. I still love the first one the most as I like the love story, the "down and out and almost past it" element and also that it's a film so many people misunderstand until they watch it. But I think Rocky 2 (which I do love too) has moved a little closer to the first film in terms of how good I view it.
Seeing how you were struggling to gather your thoughts at the end I was going to suggest that maybe you should pause a few minutes or even a couple of hours to gather your thoughts before drawing your conclusions on camera. Some reaction channels do exactly that. But then I thought we would miss out on your raw emotions and in my view I think what reaction watchers like the most is seeing that raw emotional response. So not sure really.
I have to mention the music to this film and series, particularly the final bell music. It's one of the best pieces of film music ever created in my view. I don't think it will ever stop hitting me emotionally. Absolutely wonderful.
Anyway, thanks for a great reaction to one of my favourite films. I will watch your Rocky 3 reaction soon for sure.

The loan shark is truly Rocky’s friend, still a loan shark but his friend! I know people recommend to only watch 1-3 but I highly recommend them all! Yes 5 is bad (the studio wanted to cash in)! Rocky 4 is great some peoples favorite and Rocky Balboa is a great end to Rocky’s story! Creed movies are also great! I also recommend "Million Dollar Baby" another boxing movie very similar to Rocky! The boxer (Hillary Swank) has the same heart and determination as Rocky!

I agree completely. Even the wedding scene where Lezy thinks he's trying to take advantage of Rocky, I think he's trying to look out for him. He knows Rocky probably won't be good with money (never having had it before) and suggests investing in real estate as a safe investment. To me, he's the only one other than Adrian in the first 2 movies who is 100 percent on Rocky's side. He also treats him the same after he became a celebrity as he did before. Which I admire. He treats Rocky with respect and friendship. It's telling that he's one of the only people at the wedding. You can tell Rocky knows (in spite of what he does for a living) Tony's true character and that Tony always had his back.

26:38 - Boxers generally jab with their weaker hand. So a right handed boxer will jab with their left hand and throw their power punches with their right hand.
For left handers ("Southpaws") it's the other way around.

I know you said you would only react to the first three, but I would still love to see you react to the rest of the series. After the third, the series does take a small dip. It picks right back up in quality with the sixth and the two creed movies (continuation of the rocky story). Even the movies that I feel like take a dip in quality, they still have some memorable emotional moments in them.
If you decide not to upload your reactions to them, I would still recommend watching them on your own time.

People don't realize, Paulie is an asshole in every way but he is right both times he goes after Adrian.
In Rocky him throwing her out of the house and forcing her to go on the date with Rocky was what made her open up and fall in love.
In this movie telling her that she was the one keeping Rocky from being his best was correct, he was going to get hurt.

I do get your assessment about Apollo. However, in this movie, he is struggling with himself. He finds himself in that turmoil that plagues many fighters that are still on top: "Is this it? Is this where I peak? Is it a downslide from here?" Apollo has always known, subconsciously, that at some point there could come along that one fighter who may just pull an upset & take his crown. The beginning of Apollo's downfall was actually in the first movie, with his overconfidence. It was inconceivable to him that a club fighter who was supposed to be nothing more than part of a novelty or a gimmick, would turn out to be a solid contender & a threat to his title. That disbelief & dismay gives way to pride in this movie. He tries to save face with the public, but most especially, himself, as he doggedly goes after Rocky to fight him again. It's also understandable why his manager Duke would not want Apollo to fight Rocky again, but even as he tries to persuade Apollo that Rocky is all wrong for them, he knows that as a champion Apollo has no choice. Apollo will not give himself a choice because his pride won't let him let go of Rocky, even though he's still in a position where he can let go, & no one will call him on it. Apollo is now questioning his own ability & has no peace. Then of course there's the popular opinion & all the hate mail. Ultimately Duke has probably trained enough fighters to see that too. In this fight Apollo is actually winning by a wider margin than in the first fight; well ahead on points. All he has to do is stick & stay away to win. At this point though, his pride it will not allow him to just coast to a win with a unanimous decision, & he must have a knockout, to prove to himself, mainly, that he is not slipping. As you'll see as you continue this franchise will have a bigger than anticipated impact & be a mainstay in Rocky's life. He really turned out to be a solid character with a lot of heart. This is one of my all time favorite franchises & I've seen this movie through the eyes of other favorite reactors & I have to say your reaction to it is one of the most enjoyable & endearing. Great job. Thank you!
