I saw Janet in 1990 at The Rhythm Nation Tour. My son (who was 6 years old at the time) and I were in the 2nd row, Center stage. How did we get those seats? I recognized Rene Elizondo walking around outside the Tacoma Dome. He asked me if I was a big fan. Duh! I was thrilled to get those tickets from him, and gave away the two 20th row, Center stage tickets I had. She was amazing that night. Not everyone in the music industry has longevity, and an appeal to many generations. This woman has been performing since she was 4 years old, and most women who are close to 60 years old don’t look and move as well as she does. Most women don’t have their first or only kid when they’re 50 years old, and at Janet’s age, she is probably in menopause. If you haven’t gone through menopause, or you’re a man, you won’t understand how hard it is to be hot ALL THE TIME, and then she’s wearing all that gear too. Leave Janet alone! She’s up there sweating for her coins.
