its always been a nightmare to drive on this stretch from the 50s , my brother lived opposite flower shop on leek road ,i visited him every weekend weather permitting in winter
it hasnt stopped me going back to area of bucknall , bentilee where i grew up, before marrying and moving to longton to then moving to matlock , that after divorce i finally moved to bakewell to settle down, mostly on my own with two kids before i remarried after kids left home to lead their own lives i still have two sisters , one in meir the other in newcastle so it hasnt stopped me driving in the now busy spots of stoke on trent , ive family buried in carmountside crem so as long as i can i still will be coming in this area , happy memories of brookhouse green school , and berryhill junior high, and living on dividy road , walking up to tops of bentiliee in heavy snow for a bag of coal pushing a pram with my brothers in 1962 /3 going to shop at dawlish drive shops , hanley and longton working at paragon china after leaving school and having cheese on toast from a shop over the road from factory , all gone now most of it , but best times ever ,
