Wow you’re a special human!! Thankyou for hosting me!!❤
Awesome coverage of The Maha Kumbh 👏👏.
Come back to Bharath very soon for another spiritual experience!
May God Shiva bless you!
Big ❤
It is soo good to see my City is full of crowd and congrats to you that you have been there in a holy place
@@torpidogaming581 a beautiful and energising place especially joining so many for the journey!
I plan on attending the last week of February, just one backpack, one camera body, one wide lens, and extra SDs/Battery; I'm so glad I found English language content ....any recommendations/tips?
Thanks for sharing!
First off…incredible name 😂
Excellent you won’t regret the decision at all…
I had a small room in the town to store my things and walked in over 3 different sessions with just my small @lowepro camera bag.
Enough space for the kit listed in the description, camera was in hand all the time so space for a jacket. Water, wet wipes and sweets.
I had 3 canon batteries, and the option to charge if required at the room or a small power bank - the batteries are solid so only ran 2 a day.
If you have an option to take another lens for variety that would great it depends on the style, sometime you can’t always be that close.

Tips…don’t have any expectations of hero shots…look for the moments in the chaos.
It’s easy to get side tracked thinking MUST get the big bathing moments…as the video shows for one reason or another those didn’t come through for me but…
The moments I did find were a gift and added to the personal experience.
Absolutely find your way to sectors 19 and 20 day and night experiences…another world of human devotion life and opportunity for the camera but also your soul!
It’s impossible to rush anywhere…embrace the adventure, we are very blessed to attend such and huge festival.
Do you have Instagram? @tommyhatwell find me and say hello that’s where images are going
Anything to do with india.. the most important thing is to not to have any expectations and focus more on going with the flow 😅
Theres some special magic in the air: if u let go, miracles happen. Happy maha kumbh mela ❤
Tips :?
Respect the privacy of the hindu pilgrims while they pray and bathe in the holy river.
Respect is the key word.
It's not dip to get rid of sins but in hope to get bit nearer in process of attain Moksha.
About a million places online say differently but I hear you!
Everybody has a different perspective. Some guys go for fun😂
@ so true!
Good coverage

The most unique experience on this planet.

Thanks Kibbs…the mission continues!
Amazing video. appreciate that. Nice jump by the way near by that bridge.
Haha thanks Bhai - for the jump I needed to put everything in the bag… just incase I didn’t make it!
Those was "Hawan kund" not casual or normal fire place & aahuti was put in there (smoke of which is what may probably water ur eyes & nose)
That could be why then 😮

All the best for your TH-cam channel. I like your calm underexagerated way of talking.
What you see is what you get, I appreciate the comment. It’s not a place to be excessive and over energetic it’s a place for exploring, enjoying and experiencing, I just wanted to bring people along with me and also remember the days!
Mahakumbha Mela largest human gathering on Earth 🌎🌍 with 350million already attended excepted to be 500 million by the end of the festival.
It also has Ram Mandir ayodhya model and Tirupathi Balaji temple model .

Cool video, well done for making it there. I was there in 2001 it was bonkers, I had an old SLR with Kodachrome film and lots of Charas.
I bet 2001 was another level, no social media or digital world. Thanks for sharing…how did your pictures come out?
That's right, the world was very different then.
The photos were OK, some nice portraits but I remember it was hard to capture the the enormity of it.
Your getting some great shots, I following on inta now 👍

Don't seek the knowledge then its just weast of time.... 🎉😊 bcz u didn't knew the real age of those yogi 's have... Maybe they were 260+ years... Maybe 311 years.. But u can't get them by just checking or watching... 😂
Amazing ❤❤
You want to see Kumbh Mela history theatre in Kumbh Mela
@@aakashyadav1379 was this the big tenant with the large shiva inside?
Naga Babas share their Knowledge to each other, should have spoke with some - few of them are highly educated (one of them was Aerospace engineer from a very reputed college- IIT B)
@@Hrithik1739 have seen his interview and I did spend time with some of the babas but I didn’t want to film those interactions, just enjoyed the moment. Some have very good English and humour.
@@tommyhatwellOhh, okay! I hope you had a wonderful time. If possible, do visit other places, including South India-you’ll find tons of archaeological sites, architectural marvels and delicious food to try!
That IIT grad Baba was Sanyasi Sadhu not Naga sadhu
I hope you experienced were good.
An amazing time this was 28/29 January. So much walking but every step was worth it. Pictures coming up @tommyhatwell on Instagram

Why 44:01 you didn't take holy dip 😮😮😮😂😂😂
For me the pilgrimage was not about a holy dip…I respect the journey and holy dip for others.
Let me say this I live in prayagraj and still don't have the balls to walk on those shore under the bridge 😂😂
Ahahaha tell me some stories…what happens there??
Whuch mic you use ?? It captures too much of Background Noise
It’s a mix of the IPhone mic and a DJI bluetooth mic - depending on the moment
Where can we see the pictures
Visit @tommyhatwell on Instagram they will slowly begin arriving
@tommyhatwell Thanks
Does anyone have suggestions for shops where I can buy film in Prayagraj?
Not directly but I did just search Google and when I was in the slightly upmarket part of the city they had a few camera shops.
Its mother Ganga not (Ganges) by the way welcome to India enjoy ❤

Bro try to make video under 1 hour like try to edit it for 59 mins as 1 hour looks bkring and so long and 59 looks kind a short video kind of human psychology btw loved yur content (i subscribed)
Ok next time😊
Apparently you got most views on this video. Still a PTSD for you? don't wanna put you down but its not supposed to be a luxurious meaningless festival like in the west rather its a Manthan (churning) just like you churn milk to produce butter, here you churn your mental and physical self to attain or get closer to enlightenment and that's what you just experienced. People come here not to have a picnic. I envy you because I wasn't able to visit. I hope you learnt some valuable life lessons with this experience and I encourage you to learn more about the Sanatan Dharma 🙏
I appreciate your message and the sentiment behind it, but please understand my humour in the moment whilst trying to explain the scale of the Kumbh to many who will never visit and who perhaps enjoys the “meaningless” festivals in the west.
I have been very careful with my views of such a special festival for the faithful pilgrims but please consider your views of western festivals could have deep meaning for those who attend.
I have travelled the world this wasn’t PTSD inducing for me it was incredible and that’s why I invested my time, money and energy into the experience.
Avoid Shahi Snaan... Its too crowded specifically on 29th.. After 2nd Feb Shahi Snaan .. Thing's will become more clam and comfortable as Sadhus and Akharas will be going back from Kumbh.. And common people can enjoy the holy bath more freely..
@@neerajsharma-ls9vk this was on the 28 and 29th.
@@tommyhatwell that was the biggest day of the 44 day carnival... Thank god you were safe
There was a drone show also and Ganga Aarti you didn't show that
This was just on the 28 and 29th January. The drone show was at the beginning of the Kumbh Mela so I wasn’t in town then.
"im from china" and says hello in japanese 🤪
Also mentioned the ancient art of paper folding to introduce my name…I’ve got to make it interesting once in a while!
