On average the govt collects 2 trillion 1 trillion goes to recurrent expenditures another 1 trillion goes to debt payments, pension payments and saoaries payments...we then borrow 1 trillion to fund infrastructure ....thats how it operates.....then we repeat the cycle...when our loans havene been approved we have cashflow problems because now the money for recurrent expenses or salaries is used to pay the loan...we can pay the loans but the govt has to slash expenditure on recurrent expenses and salaries in the midst of inflation... Liniency on corruption or waste will take us to the dogs
Ignore this dude and ignore Jimmy wanjigi they are quacks...painful tax increments to get us to 3.5 or 4 trillion is what the govt is aiming for and the we will see if we are at Pareto optimality

Interviewing someone who doesn't want to be interviewed. There is so little content shared. He speaks as slowly as possible with repeated narratives. A seasioned accountant, disclosuring as little information as possible.

Debt refinancing mean that GOK borrowed a loan twice to build same infrastructure.

Joseph, I believe he is an independent analyst, he is questioning if the budget being published was operationalized as it were we wouldn’t have debt but it seems that there is another budget being operationalized which isn’t the one passed in parliament( published budget),
